We went from a sh-t O line in JAs first season, to successful run blocking schemes the 2nd season that our RBs did very well with, and then on to the start of the 3rd season, to having Spain getting his head stuck in his azs and quitting on the team, then we had and continued series of starter O line injuries that went on for pretty much the whole season, and the blocking schemes changed during that same period of time, we pretty much never had all our starters playing together at all last season, on top of losing Spain, who was very good the year before, that’s what I’m getting at when I said some folk are ignoring what the root cause of our run game woes actually are..., without good run blocking RBs don’t do well, ya gotta fix what the problem is before you get the results you’re after..., some folk just don’t get this ...,

Good on TS! He’s been through some of the nasty side effects that someone recovering from C 19 can go through, hoping all the best to him and his continued health!

Those that still insist on a 1st round RB to fix our run game problem, appear to have purposefully ignored the history of this teams O line personnel turnover and injury’s, plus scheming and the timing of those things over the last three seasons. Those things have directly impacted what was a run game that was what this style of offense wants. Someone up thread stated that this line of thinking is related to fantasy GM group think, and it appears to be the case..., separating fantasy from actual football appears to be a problem for some fans...,

It’s not just Beane, It’s Stars then DC & HC and now DC and HC that thought/thinks this to be the case, arrived at by seeing him play for years, that says one of two things, SM is bad at evaluating defensive players which he is not, or he isn’t bad at evaluating said players..., as well consider that the D has been better with Star, I think you’re looking for the unicorn conformation on this, just my way of looking at it...

Fans being fans, a very high percentage of us know a lot less than we pretend to know, this as you all know includes me... 😁👍 although I can honestly say I was happy with the JA pick, for me there was just things about Mayfield and Rosen that I didn’t care for, I thought that JA and LJ would end up the best two, so far my W A G has held up so far... I get lucky once a year or two...😁

Ever notice that Fromm is never spoken of in terms of his QB skills, by the FO/HC, only that he is going through the motions holding down the Covid QB designation, Fromm seems to be the Bills version of the red stapler guy in office space. Does anyone actually know if this kid has a live arm, or has the intangibles to be a NFL QB?, is he likely out of the league in two ish years time?, could he be waived/cut for a new red stapler guy this draft/ UDFA...

Maybe he’s not particularly football smart, wouldn’t be the first time that an elite athlete turns out to not be good at football.

Well, being that most of the time fans are wrong, I’ll roll with the coaches on this debate.

For me this draft is different from the last very many years, it will be interesting to see how Beane operates in this new territory, mostly because, no matter where your pick is you have to do it so it benefits your team even when your team is already good, this to me is a big boys draft, not the clutching for straw drafts that have marked all to many Bills drafts in the past, we get to see how a good team drafts well this time.

Speed and size is a difficult get at LB for us it appears, that would certainly help, better scheming/personnel usage would also help.
