I do like watching the Bills play, but I’m not drinking the NFL koolaid, the NFL is just another greedy corporation, like so many others.

I would have to say Mitch Morse. I think he's an outstanding pass-protecting center (the most important thing for our offense) and good in the run game if used correctly eg to pull, not as a power bruiser.
Yet everyone seems to want him to be cut (at the expense of a big dead cap hit and not very large savings) and replaced by a popular guard who is a competent center, but neither as good in pass protection as Mitch, and was not as good in the run or pass game as some seem to believe.
This ^^^
The run game was for all intents an afterthought this past season, mostly because Allen and the receivers were ripping it up for the majority of the season, but even the running plays that were called were uninspired, and did not use the best abilities of the O line or the running backs. That and as much as no one talks about it, not having Spain, and a healthy Ford run blocking showed this past season. Look back to the season before last, the run play calling was substantially better on every level, as was the blocking. It is my hope that Beane’s appropriate kick in the pants that he delivered post season to those that are responsible for the drop off takes hold. Anyway, jmo.

But he is also a prima donna and craves attention so where ever he signs he will need to be the biggest star there.
That’s why I picked Cleveland, that’s s team of prima donnas, they thrive and feed off each other.

Why is it so important to you that he watch the Super Bowl? Also, it seems that a lot of professionals do not watch the Super Bowl. Plus, I mean really, should he have locked himself in a room by himself to watch the game and take notes? Because if he said he "watched it" but was with a bigger group (a party) do you think he is really super focused on the game?
If their is something important that must be watched from the Super Bowl, he'll have access to it. In a better format then watching the Super Bowl live. It would be in a package with highlights/plays from different angles, put together by a staffer on the Bills, that directly relates to something he may need to learn/know.
It’s important to him because the thought crossed his mind, not that that thought had much depth, but it was his, so it must be important... 😂

As of late Singletary is getting crapped on a lot, 😁
it may just be me but I find the whipping boy threads kinda funny, it’s the hot take “logic” that gets me chuckling.
Go Bills!!!

He pointed to multiple factors. He did not blame the OL.
He put the responsibility the O line and the RBs, and in essence the offensive position coaches, and the OC.

Def played a part... I’m just a little confused how you assume that because these players hit some playtime incentives that some how means they are performing at a high level...... there are other aspects contributing, but they hit the incentives because there weren’t better options behind them, that doesn’t necessarily mean they are good players though.... you realize there’s a difference between the two right?
Ah, there it is, I never once said or made inferences that there was high level of play, only that the players results were enough to be rewarded playing time, by those that make the decisions. Other personnel were available, but were not considered, so things stand as they are.

When you have Josh slinging the rock all over the field, it's hard to stack the box on him, especially when you only get five carries a game
Our running back should be popping five yards per carry . There's nothing impressive about them going 4.0 on 6 man boxes
It does show consistency 😁

Left to right, Dawkins, Ford Morse, Feliciano, Williams, that is my starting O line prediction for the upcoming season.
Our best pass blocking center is Morse, I don’t think they are cutting/releasing Morse.
Maybe a trade but not likely.
The run blocking will improve with Ford on the line.
Go Bills !!!

Where offensively did the Bills struggle this year?
O line run blocking, all season long, as pointed out by Mr. Beane at the end of the season PC.

Lets hope Bean uses a scalpel and not an ax when doing cuts.
Beane is no fool, he won’t cut the nose off to spite the face, as the saying goes... have no fear, Beane has this in hand, and has so for some time now.

Um yes and no. When there are no other running backs on the roster (Yeldon for whatever reason was in McD doghouse) Singletary and Moss will get playing time. So its a function of performance and lack of competition at the positon.
By those who make the decisions it is only yes.

I like G Davis, doesn't mean I like everything he does.
Don't be applauding Davis for saying he didn't watch the pinnacle game in his profession. You sound like a groveling idiot, in full spin mode, who can't admit a mistake. Instead, how about we say Davis is a rookie who made a mistake.
You’re a silly one, and shallow of thought to boot..., being a whiny fan is not a thing to aspire to...

My point is just because these guys played a lot doesn’t mean they are any good.
Singletary and Moss are solid running backs who do nothing spectacular and lack top end speed which was a strong reason for the running games issues this season. They are good secondary options, they aren’t premier backs, IMO.
Ive been arguing that Yeldon is the best back on the team and whenever he got opportunities he played just as good and better than Moss/Singletary.
And Knox? That guy is as inconsistent as they come. His competition was Tyler Kroft. 😅No ***** he got a lot of playing time.
Do you find it strange fans and media alike are suggesting we need upgrades at both these positions despite these players hitting their PPE’s?
Not surprised that talking heads or fans say anything they say, in which they/we are usually wrong, they almost always address everything as if it existed in a vacuum, which makes folk come off as silly and shallow in thought, we all fall prey to this way of thinking from time to time, some more so than others.
-
Beane got us a good one in Davis, Gabe is self driven, and will have success. Whiny remarks by a fan on this board about not watching the game are laughable on a good day. Good on Davis for his actions, he is not answerable to the press or whiny fans.

Did you read it? It’s based on playing time. Not actual results.😅
Hmm, playing time... let me see now... 🤔, playing time is a direct result of what?..., hmm, ah, yes, results...
So by your reckoning it then appears those lowly good for nuthin bench/ cut worthy players showed no results to those who decide who gets playing time..., yah that’s it, that’s how it works in the NFL.
“Results” of all kinds, do not take shape in a vacuum.Go Bills!!!

It’s actually rather funny that we find our two running backs and our tight end on the list. All three are routinely cited as needing to be politely shown to the bench.
Yup, just shows how little we the fans understand about how things actually work in pro football, makes me chuckle thinking about certain posts and threads... but that’s just me I guess...

I think McDermott and Beane learned plenty from Ron Rivera. But Ron Rivera is a decent, humble, guy and he recognised that two of his protégés now had knowledge that could help him and he reached out to them. That is a good leader and a good teacher. One who acknowledges that sometimes you have to learn from those you have taught.
This ^^^
When a teacher, over time, can’t learn from a former student, that teacher has lost their way.
I give RR big credit for going a long way toward righting the SS that Snyder created, I didn’t think it would happen as quickly as it has, I am still a little dubious with Snyder at the helm, he is the sort who would ruin a good thing to satisfy his ego.

Spain did get to big for his britches and screwed the team, that is a given.
That does not make what I said less true. We miss what he used to supply to the O line, and that needs to be replicated, the sooner the better. Pretty simple really.
