You kind of contradict yourself… it was not just the WRs, it was the O line , the TEs, the RBs etc etc, that was an ugly team offense, if there ever was one,

“Maybe” Ford playing injured for an extended period had a something to do with that…, Beane did mention that he has played injured more than not, anyway, we shall see as this preseason goes on, has CF taken any reps at L guard so far? It sounds more like RG is the position he is slotted to lock down, if he can.

Gunner, nice write up, I would agree with your thoughts, very realistic, imo, if it came down to Effe or Addison, Addison will get the axe as it were, even with his taking a pay cut, business is business when your goal is a championship. There may be a coupe of trades for late draft picks, but a lot of reasonable talent is going to be cut this year,

Fun read, 👍 I hope what Beane said about getting and keeping the needed pieces around Allen long term will help fans understand why Beane won’t grab his ankles to sign every “known name” free agent that comes down the pike, Allen is an anomaly, that’s for sure, and we are lucky we have him, and in a sense luckier we have a GM & HC that know what the hell they are doing to not fall into the trap of one or two year window for a championship, these guys see us as a perennial contender, not a flash in the pan outfit. By rumor or actual signings, its Beane’s way of applying pressure on our existing guys, in this case the D line, no ones job is 100% safe, he wants them to clearly understand this, perform or be nervous about your job security…, we shall see how well it works, won’t we…,

What is there to debate? your teams QBs are what one might say, lacking capacity, to put it kindly, The Bills lived through the same thing for a very long time. There is nothing to debate.

With Allen’s well known attention to detail, and his acceptance of self evaluation says to me, that this is a stone that has indeed been turned over, and examined for needed improvement, Josh has himself stated that the hero ball/ sugar high stuff needs to stop, so I for one am not particularly concerned that he would ignore this detail being it is so important to his end goals.

With the wear and tear that out top four receivers absorb over the regular season, it would be a good move imo, to have seven receivers on the active roaster, plus a couple on the PS, it would be bad to hit the post season again with our starting four wideouts all banged up agin and not have some reliable backups available, again jmo. KC appears to be putting their faith in some rookies on their O line, getting first team reps and all… so it’s not unprecedented to do this, will it work out for either team?
