  1. My Predictions...Bold but possible...Hollister and Allen rediscover their college magic and he beats out Knox for TE1. Bold trade...The logjams at WR and DL allows them to find a partner(s) and they trade Beasley and Hughes...Improbable...Mitch lights it up and he is traded to a team whose QB goes down for a 1st rd pick.
  2. My 1st thought was Roberts but the more I thought about it I realized while he was a very good KR he was just an average PR. McKenzie showed more in the Miami game. He was a specialist occupying a WR spot on the roster. We are loaded this Year at the position and hard cuts will be made. Not to even mention the ramifications on the Cap in a year when it went down. I settled on Marlowe because when he was on the field he made plays. Saunders eases the loss of Brown but his speed may still be missed on the outside.
  3. We are farther along in our development (It's been a LONG time since anyone could say that.) then the other teams in our division. We basically know what we got and are concentrating on ourselves. In the past I saw value in having joint practices but being as things are now I'm fine with them going without one.
  4. Like everyone else I also root for every Bill and even a few past ones (Fitz!)...We know Wallace can provide adequate coverage but I'd love to see Dane upgrade the #2 corner and allow them to play more coverage concepts now that they wouldn't have to cover for Levi's lack of athleticism. It would be great to be able to get more aggressive the next time we see the Chiefs and not have to sit back in zone all day.
  5. Stafford stuck out big-time on this list as he has always been a upper tier QB but never had any chance to succeed in Detroit. No one could have in that situation. Fitz is who he is everyone loves him and he gets everyone around him to play their best. He seems to be aging like fine wine as his numbers keep improving but he is still very hot & cold but man when he's HOT watch out! So if you exclude those guys it's not looking too good for the others on the list. Wentz seems to have completely come undone and I'm not sure if even Reich can fix him. Darnold was in a no win situation in NY much like Stafford was but I think his ceiling is only that of an average QB. Goff was in a very good spot in LA but proved to be too limited and was shipped out and is also just average. That leads me to Winston who has the highest ceiling of the remaining guys on the list and set up to succeed on a very good team. Can Peyton get his level of play to match the level of talent? That remains to be seen but is my best bet. As for the second question...I always have rooted for Fitz and it's so much easier when he's not in the AFCE. I would love to see him finally lead a team to the playoffs and at the cowboys expense is an extra bonus.
  6. OK, this is how I see it...Edmunds maybe miscast in the middle but I don't blame them for trying he is a massive man in the middle. Brass tacks here, if his instincts don't improve and he is still missing assignments, miss reading gaps, etc. I'd still take the flyer and put him in the 'Zo role, that is where he excelled in college and where he may fit best. I hate to say it but he'll never come close to Luke Kuechly, but who can? He is still a very good player and just maybe miscast as a MLB.
  7. I gave this draft a solid B. I liked both the DE taken they offer different skill sets and could both be very good starters soon. My only gripe is doubling down on OT's when Doyle could have been had later and several good options at 1DT were still on the board. The CB/value never lined up for us until the late rounds in which I believe they did well as usual. Let's hope they are right and Jackson beats out Wallace, some of these pick contribute right away as rotational players, back-ups and ST. Like has been stated before sure the other contenders seemed to have filled some holes, WE didn't have any really. This draft is a set up for the long run and I'm all for it!
  8. I wouldn't trade away the rest of the draft for 1 player and I don't believe Beane would either. Yes, we still need a 1 tech and hopefully 1 falls to one of our 5th rd picks. There are other needs to fill as well. Trust the process, let Beane do his thing.
  9. Poor Tyrod about to be passed by yet another rookie QB
  10. I am hoping there isn't another run on cb's and one falls to us in the bpa range, in the 3rd I'd be looking to trade up an get that big ugly DT.
  11. Like many on here I had JOK as the BPA left on the board and was initially disappointed w/ the selection. After sleeping on it I have come to like the pick. He provides us w/ a young DE that was a huge need where JOK is more of a luxury pick and LB was not even close to a need as Edge was. BTW, I cheered when both rb's came off the board before us and was hoping Newsome would fall to us.
  12. I think a one of the top corners left, I would love to see JOK fall to us but that is a pipe dream. I think we need to come out of this draft w/ a better option at the big nickel role. The pass rushers of this class look weak esp. at # 30, finding a starter opposite 'Tre could go a long way in helping the pass rush. I don't hate Samuel either, but ideally would prefer a bigger corner opposite 'Tre.
  13. I'd have to say fat Bob's on Virginia place downtown
