  1. Any chance he'll make a play for McDermott?
  2. I'm feeling good about this one...It's our time...Bills win.

  4. Like a lot here, I said yes but they have to eat most of that contract. Only other way is if they take Oliver but then no way adding on a 2nd rounder.
  5. I don't know much about this player other than he is small, 5'6" 170lbs and a return specialist w/ speed.....from ESPN... BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills took the first step in adding skill players to their offense this offseason by reaching an agreement with former New Orleans Saints wide receiver and returner Deonte Harty on a two-year deal, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal has a max value of $13.5 million, including $5 million fully guaranteed and a $9.5 million base salary. The Bills need to address the wide receiver room this offseason after struggling to find a reliable slot receiver and with Gabe Davis stepping into the No. 2 role for the first time in his career. The team brought in veterans Cole Beasley and John Brown late in the season to address the need for speed and help in the middle of the field. EDITOR'S PICKS Tracking NFL free agency: Latest signings, trades, cuts, rumors 20mESPN staff Let's grade the NFL offseason's biggest deals: How teams have fared in 45-plus moves 8mSeth Walder and NFL draft analysts The Bills also restructured the deal of running back/returner Nyheim Hines earlier this week to keep him in Buffalo. Hines, who was used sparingly on offense after the Bills traded for him at the 2022 trade deadline, and Harty will give the team options at returner and provide depth as receivers with more work likely to be done. Harty, who legally changed his last name from Harris to honor his stepfather, will bring speed to the Bills' offense. Named a first-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl return specialist his rookie season in 2019, the 5-foot-6, 170-pound 25-year-old has averaged 9.8 yards per punt return and 25.4 yards per kick return in his career. He dealt with injuries in 2022 that limited his participation to four games. At wide receiver, he presents an option for offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey both in the slot (126 career routes) and outside (216 career routes), and has the ability to stretch the field (6.59 yards after catch per reception).
  6. I'll start with the iggles , didn't see Hurts coming...How bad can a Hackett led team with Russell Wilson get? (Never liked his Dad or him).Let's give Dabs credit that roster at 3-1??? AFCW dominance? Not seeing it...The importance of having a true #1 WR, having 2 a needed luxury...Geno, need I say more...Chargers still Chargering (does that count?). Tua pulling fitzmagic not fitztragic (still don't believe in them, We lost that game more then they won it). Colts falling off the cliff and Jags looking like best team in AFCS...I expected more from Baker with his back against the wall too. I'll close with a thinly laid veil o0n the importance of a holder. Look no further than our friend Bojo and how many games he has lost with bad holds, just sayin'...
  7. OBJ, no question in my mind. Plenty of reasons why have already been stated.
  8. As a youngster I used to watch the Mets too on WOR....Stern was likely their best player at the time
  9. I'd take Burrow over both of those guys but not Allen or Mahomes.
  10. I think it'll be Baker, just from what we've seen from both of them so far. Baker has proven you can win with him, in most cases you have to win in spite of Darnold.
  11. I still think it's the Chiefs until we beat them, but their division is going to be brutal. Cinncy & Baltimore both look good in the tough north. I think the Colts will emerge from the south but you can't count out Tenn completely, with how weak the rest of their division is the winner could be our biggest threat for the #1 seed. The AFC is a battle royal, franchise QB required...we have the best one. I can't wait for the season opener!!!!!
  12. Okay so 'Tre is an all-pro corner who undeniably was coached up and self motivated. I see Elam as another self motivated corner with even better "measurables". I can see playing Elam press and shift the zone to White's side and let our pass rush finish it out. Things are looking very bright , there is a clear vision here....I trust the process. The last few drafts a CB didn't fall our way that was a 1st on our board, this year BB didn't let the last one slip by and moved up to snag him. The "stale" D that we have played in the past to cover CB2's deficiencies is in the past. The play book opens up now boys.....I'm not even taking into consideration what Josh is about to drop this year....I feel it, in everything he has said and done. Playoff Josh is coming in September this year Boys, we are going to be just fine.
  13. Isaiah Hodgins, would be my guess.
  14. I have to agree with this but for arguments sake I thought I'd give it a stab.
  15. The 90's squad had several hall of famers , this group has a ways to go but the potential looks to be there. The 90's squad had more star players while this team has more depth 1-53. To compare I'd say this team is like the 1988-90 version...Just on the door step made AFC championship but lost to the Icky Wood's Bengals. Let's pray this year isn't like 89 when that Ronnie Harmon drop ended our season.
  16. History hasn't been kind to Ohio State and Alabama QB's and I don't see that trend changing w/ these guys. There is something about Wilson that I don't trust. I see Lawrence being good out of the gate and Lance taking some time to develop.
  17. A really good and well thought out post. Roster spots are at a premium this year an a few of our "traditional" practices of roster make up will have to change. Hopefully a few tough cuts will be IR'ed. I think if Taiwan can reasonably be replaced as a gunner he is cut. I have heard that they have been trying Brieda and Kumerow as gunners... I see 4 DT's ( Oliver, Star, Harrison, & Zimmer) and 6 DE's. Rousseau, Basham, AJE, are locks Obada is fast approaching that status. That leaves the 2 vets and Johnson...One has to go and I'd like to keep Johnson. I think we then roll with 5 LB's ( Edmunds, Milano, Klein, Matakevich, Adams) ,6(7) CB's ( 'Tre, Wallace, Dane, Taron, Neal, Lewis/Wildgoose) and 4 safeties ( Hyde, Poyer, Johnson, Hamlin). 2 QB's( Allen, Mitch)3 RB's ( Singletary, Moss, Brieda) ,1 FB (Gilliam), 3 TE's(Knox, Hollister, Sweeney), 6(7)WR's(Diggs, Saunders, Cole, McKenzie, Davis, Kumerow/Hodgins) & 9OL ( Dawkins, Ford, Mitch, Mongo, Williams, Brown, Bates, Ike, Doyle) and the 3 ST specialists brings us to 53 choosing between a 7th CB or WR for the last spot whichever player they think they can sneak onto the PS being cut.
  18. Lawson...Last season not only was the middle of the D a problem but so was setting the edge, this is where I hope to see Basham excel. Groot's length and give him some time to get his body right, as mentioned that's a lot of 1st round picks along the DL. This is the 2 Vets last year most likely. I'd still look to deal Hughes(I'd prefer it be Addison, but who wants him?) for a 2cb type, this isn't a knock on Wallace but more the guys behind him an injury to 'Tre and we are hurting. If Wallace steps up GREAT... If not I think the wise move is to draft one in the 1st, 2 lock down corners w/ this front 7 and IF they develop. Get that big nickel piece and it's lights out! I agree about the offense, I think it be will more diversified this season with the new pieces and a more competent run game. I highly doubt Josh will regress, I look for him to be even better. He wants to earn his money and then some, by the end of this contract it will be a bargain. As for NE, how can they not be better than last year? I don't see them beating us out of the division, but overtaking the phins that I can see. My enthusiasm is high for this team. I can see really see the pieces falling into place this year, CB health not withstanding. I remember watching OJ on T.V., then his trade to the 49ers, the 70's dominance of Shula, The Chuck Knox "we're talking proud, bermuda triangle, if it wasn't for Fergy's damn gimpy ankle...Mini drought, Kelly rejection, then parade...Then the golden years but still no brass ring. Then the real drought capped off by Rex,ouch! A miracle Dalton hail mary...Playoffs! No chance of going anywhere but home, then the purge and the drafting of Allen. I MORE than trust the process, would anyone be surprised if say Oliver, Ford, A.J., Edmunds, a Rookie make the leap, some unknown (does Kumerow even count?) ...Hell Yeah I'm pumped...Go Bills!
  19. My thoughts regarding the locker room and topic. It's clear to me that they value the "little guy" that comes out of obscurity and performs. If "little guy" Zimmer clearly outperforms Butler and gets cut because of a contract , how well does that go over? To further my point we are clearly keeping all the kids and if Obada clearly is their 4th best DE on the team. Addison is the leader it appears, Johnson has value on teams and then there's Hughes who is not getting sneaked on the practice squad and still has some trade value. Do we roll with 5 linebackers cut Taiwan and keep him too? That's 12 DL if you keep them all, the best option in my opinion is trade Hughes and cut Butler.
  20. What little I've heard about Wildgoose, it has been good. Sounds like to me as if he's ahead of Cam and in line to replace Taron next year.
  21. Looking at this list makes me appreciate Joe Ferguson even more , when you look back on it he was a very steady QB for us for a long time, then we had the pre misery of Dufek, Ferrigamo, & Mathison before Kelly and the long search until Allen.
