  1. I always get Sunday ticket, price hikes are part of everyday life, and still get great value from it. Obviously a huge Bills fan, I go to many games as a STH, but live in Pittsburgh and don't get all the televised games. On top of that, I watch alot of football on Sundays. Getting every game, without streaming illegally, is worth the price in my mind.
  2. I think it's quite possible that Spector starts season on the IR. That would put Andreesen as #5, for now
  3. Agree to disagree on Shavers. He had his man beat by 5 yards...you throttle down so you don't run out of real estate in the end zone. Not like he slowed down much either, Dinucci clearly missed an easy layup...wide open receiver, absolutely zero need to lead him like he did. If the CB is on his back hip, then yes that's on Shavers, but he wasn't. I coached WRs and everyone will say the same, throttle down when that open approaching end zone. Dinucci put that 1-2 yards from the ending If MVS is healthy, it's either Shavers or Hamler IMO. I give the edge to Shavers, due to S/T coverage and his very good blocking ability. Cain is perfect for the P/S. Catches a couple hot passes, and good YAC, but what has he proved downfield, shown in practice, etc. Gore Jr over Ty isn't happening. Ty and Evans are the only backs with Cooks skillset. While I wanted to draft Gore late, we still got him and hopefully can sneak him onto P/S. Along with Evans. Agree with the rest. I'd add Hardys decision making to the "good" category, on returns. He's a local kid for me, glad to see him doing well. Bass & Martin are my main concerns heading into the season. Alot of tough games, S/T needs to be good and consistent. More so concerned that Bass has just gone off the reservation mentally/compromised technique. We need a K on the P/S, perhaps that will help Bass. Martin with another line drive down the middle yesterday- hopefully he can be more consistent with hangtime/directional kicks
  4. Guarantee (1): Milano Likely (1): Spector Possible (1): Morris Unlikely (5): Morrow, our 3 injured safeties, MVS I'd be shocked if we IR more than 3. Reid is definitely the cut/sign back next day, if needed. Morrow highly likely to be ready for week 1. MVS injury update sounds promising, and if he's not ready week 1 then it's likely week 2. Bottom line we have a lot of borderline injuries for week 1, but its likely we have most ready for then. And those who aren't, very likely ready week 2. I think Davidson is not a TE3, with what we want to do in our ground game. He's perfectly suited for our P/S, if we can sneak him on it. Morrow is going to be a key S/T and a top reserve LB. MVS, as much hate he gets on here, is our only WR that can take the top off a defense. If he's close to ready, it's not worth IRing him. Davidson is the 1 player that could make our 53, along with Morris, if we sacrifice at WR (keep just 5). Shavers has showed so much progress throughout the offseason, I think they'll be reluctant to let him go...so I think Davidson is the odd man out
  5. DE (-1): Kingsley didn't do enough to justify keeping a 6th DE. You cut him, Cline, Toohill and hope 1-2 make it back to P/S. LB (-1): First off, Morrow is a lock. Jones gets cut, hopefully you get him back to P/S, but even if you don't it's OK. IR Spector and Andreesen makes it to start the season OL (+1): I think Gourage has a legit chance at #10, or it's Collins who has looked serviceable too. OL depth is a strength, you keep 10 right now WR (+1): This to me is the most difficult decision. Hamler or Shavers. Hamler is Curtis Samuel light, also can play in the return game. Shavers has some untapped potential, big bodied and solid S/T player. Either of these 2 will likely not dress each week (barring injury). To me, Shavers gives us more offensive potential (outside) and a young/contract controlled option P/S potential: Dinucci, Evans, Gore, Clapp, Collins, Jones, Kingsley or Cline, Hamler, Cain, Couch, KJ, a new LB, DT Williams, Ankou, Davidson or McKitty, and possibly a K (+ our free P/S player) Note I haven't looked close enough at P/S eligibility rules.
  6. This. Depending which kickers are cut, I think there is a really good chance we see one signed to our P/S. Bass leash is getting shorter by the week, unfortunately
  7. @Alphadawg7 great read, thanks for taking the time to review the All 22. Few things I noticed: 1. WRs: blocking was very very good. Coleman, Shavers, Hollins all had excellent blocks/technique. It's clear we have a strong emphasis on replacing Gabes role here 2. DBs: Agree on Hardy. I was very excited when we drafted him, another local Pitt kid (HS ball). They've mixed him and Ingram, between slot and outside, both have looked quite good in both spots. Speaking of Ingram, he's the definition of what McDs influence can do with excellent secondary coaching. I'm feeling good about our depth at CB, knowing full well that we've been hit with injuries there in the past. 3. TE: hopefully Morris is back before Week 1, as this is leaning toward a keep 4 posiiton group (5 if we count Gilliam), as Davidson looks like a weapon that Brady will find ways to utilize and most elusive behind Kincaid. Especially with Samuel injuryand unknown when he returns, running more 12 personell could be justified
  8. IMO, yes. Trubisky has more talent and a closer skillset to Josh. He's "seeing ghosts", as they say. Beane took a gamble that he'd get back to Buffalo Mitch, but that Steeler experience is sticking with him it seems. This season goes down the toilet without Josh anyhow. Kyle Allen was garbage last preseason as well. Hopefully this time off the field can help Mitch get his mental down pat.
  9. Steelers kept 3 QBs last year all season. I could see them doing the same, given their OL isn't exactly a strength right now (injuries/young players) to protect either Russ or Fields, and Kyle is likely to get signed elsewhere if cut.
  10. Didn't know about Morris. Mitch with a knee, and Solomon with a calf.
  11. Steelers made a questionable decision bringing in Arthur Smith, I just don't see them running the ball well enough - a must in his offense. Their defense will carry/keep them in games. I liked what I saw from our defense all night. Dline looked much better, and we saw players flash some potential. This rookie class looks very solid (Carter, Solomon, Hardy, and Andreeson UDFA). This is with a much aligned safety group. Like some posters said in April, it was a meat and potatoes draft. As of now, Beane appears to have filled some needs.
  12. Hardy due for a pick, 3rd time a charm, if he's still on the field.
  13. This is the run game we saw LY, once Joe Brady took over. Might be seeing alot of it again next week, depending how bad Trubisky knee injury is.
  14. He has a bit of Milano quickness/instincts to always be in position to make a play. He's shown enough in this half to be in the top 5 at LB
  15. We are approaching a dangerous territory of needing to make a trade for another QB to compete with Mitch. I was not expecting him to have regressed so much. He was bad in Pittsburgh, but so was the entire offense.
  16. Thought Spector was hurt/out this game. Andreeson holding his own, think he will fight off Deion Jones
  17. Won't be shocked if they delay start by 30 minutes, most of the strong storms seem to right in the 6:45-7:30 range
  18. I acknowledged above, but yes I was wrong and admit it. Terrible for Milano. Hope he can get back later in year
  19. ugh. Admittedly wrong, sounds like another season ending injury
  20. Difficult for Buffalo to invest anything significant at DE, until Von is off the books and we first take care of Groot long term.
  21. Sorry not to get too into the weeds, my main point is that trained sports medicine physicians have a variety of "tests" that can be done to rule out OR suspect a more serious injury. But none of those tests would have Matt Milano doing push-ups OR moving/picking up a Jugs machine, as part of the initial assessment.
  22. I can't tell if this is sarcasm or serious. But any sports medicine physician, even with minimal training, will do a hook test (likely follow with imaging if concerned). By no means is an NFL training staff uneducated enough to not know if it's showing signs of a torn bicep. Which is what ThighDoc is speculating. Milano wouldn't have been trying push-ups or any other physical activity involving that arm, if initial prognosis was serious. This is a joke by you hopefully...again ThighDoc randomly puts out worse case diagnoses, with very limited info, and ppl run with it without even thinking themselves.
  23. Like everything else, ppl form an opinion and have problems letting it go. First year, it was Cook tripping overhimself/not gaining yards after comtact/outside runner only. So on and so forth... 6th best yards from scrimmage, and ppl think a rookie 4th rounder should have his job. This place is comical, with a few logical posters. Cook looked great in person at camp LY, he's looked even better (stronger/more aggressive in between tackles) this camp. I could careless about clout/cred, w/e ppl call it nowadays, but I mentioned last offseason that Cook was poised for a huge year. I won't be shocked if he gets into Top 5 in total scrimmage yards this year.
