  1. How is this McD fault? We have our DB and S back. Nobody goes up to knock it down. Rapp goes for the pick, Taron is boxed out. Rest of DBs looking for deflection. Nobody going to knock it down, that's on olayers.
  2. Good stop, don't care if its a drop. We need to answer early. Babich adjust and drop a safety down more often.
  3. I don't know about 22 personell in a traditional sense (I formation and 2 TEs). But if they put Gilliam or go 13 personell with Morris that works. Gilliam is not going to add much as a blocker from FB role. Alec Anderson should never be seeing the field on 1st or 2nd down, unless we're in the redzone. A team that already lacks explosive plays, we're telegraphing run and have no threat of playaction to him. This offense needs more misdirection looks, jet sweep motions/handoffs. More playaction under center. Basically we bring in a Swiss army WR/RB and don't use him in the most basic of plays (jet sweeps) yo give him looks and make the LBs hesitate when we fake the motion/hold DEs outside too. Playaction attack to our TEs or a check down to our group of solid receiving RBs, just isn't happening enough. Some on Josh playing horribly, like this past weekend, and some due to playcalling. We need to get those easy 6-8 yard completions on 1st down and put us in better late down situations/ability for shot plays.
  4. Yes, 2 missed TD throws...this 2nd one was a more challenging throw but one most good QBs can make. Problem is he overthrew/bad placement on the Hollins shot, so looked like he took something off this throw/guarantee was in his head. Just not a great game by Josh this week, after being nearly unstoppable in September.
  5. I'm coming to the realization that even our top posters, have limited football X and O knowledge. This is getting comical. Sluggo seam concept, super basic. Against cover 2 defense. You don't need to lead WR outside on a seam/throw outside shoulder when the backside safety is occupied. Good grief, some posters are passing some bad knowledge and acting like they know what they're talking about. @HappyDays
  6. Again disagree. Allen shouldn't be throwing automatically to the outside shoulder, that's the point where you're wrong. Agree it shouldn't be a controversy. Allen put the ball where it wasn't intended. There is no reason Allen should be putting that ball that wide. Hollins is working his route inside/eliminating the safety leverage. He gains easy separation. Josh sees zero safety help over the top, Hollins running a sluggo, which isn't meant to break back out toward the sideline. Again, Josh throws this ball in a horrible spot. Go ask anyone who has coached at college or up, and you'll get the same response I'm giving.
  7. What safety? There is no 2nd safety to throw away from. That's my point. Hollins gained easy separation, you don't throw it outside shoulder/sidelines to protect from a closing safety when there isn't one there!
  8. Sorry Happy, your point isn't correct here. Once Hollins gained separation, there is no need to throw outside shoulder. It creates a more difficult catch radius/tracking becomes more difficult. I've coached at many levels, and the QB is taught to put that ball inside, without a safety playing over the top. Agree Hollins isn't talented enough to adjust. But that's a TD if Josh puts it where it's meant to be thrown. Facts, I'd be interested to see what Josh or Hollins have to say. Please let me know your coaching background/evidence to support your point. You're a good poster/have inside knowledge from your connections. But Xs and Os are my strong suit. And you're incorrect.
  9. I'm tired of seeing "telegraphed" plays. What I mean by that is tendencies. Alec Anderson coming in is 80%+ run rate. We comdense our WR alignment (ie: Hollins) beside the TE and run 90%+. This type of telegraphic has to stop. We also need to go back to the Daboll philosophy of avoiding 3rd downs. What i mean, is be more aggressive on 1st. We get stuck in 3rd and medium, yesterday we avg 3rd and 9+ in 1st half. We also need to utilize playaction must better. Under center, or even in the gun. Move the pocket, give Josh some ability to run if there. Screen game to RBs and TEs is non existent. We have zero semblance, and need to get some easy passes executed. Against 5 man rushes/man. We need to adjust with some bunch looks. Get easy rub routes and cause confusion with scissor action. Finally, misdirection. We have Curtis Samuel and a plethora of RBs. Use some jet sweeps, fake the stretch plays and run a reverse/etc. It's back to Dorsey non-creative schemes. I'm not a fan of playing small ball. It's good to have a solid running attack and balance. But we get stale. If we could mix in some of the above, I feel like our offense can be more multi dimensional. Not sure why we paid Samuel, have a high paid Knox, and an MVP caliber QB, if we're going to play an offense that is basically ball control/Steeler esque.
  10. Properly to the outside shoulder?! There is no safety, he drops down. Ref is only one in the middle of field. Said it during game yesterday, that should've gone inside shoulder. That's 80% on Josh, and Hollins doesn't have the talent to make up for it. Josh also missed Kincaid on a seam route that would have gone for a TD, underthrew it. Josh is struggling with deep ball accuracy, plain and simple. YPP is wrong this time.
  11. I already hate our playcalling. After high hopes and confidence in Brady, that has quickly dissipated. We need to get our RBs, TEs more involved. How does Brady watch film without seeing how predictable his playcalling has become? I'm tired of these condensed, WR lined up beside TE, without any pass threat. We literally telegraph so many plays each game and win downs on talent alone. Need more misdirection, playaction, screens. Get under center more. Get Josh in a groove in playaction. Break these tendencies of playing small ball. Early downs were a disaster 1st half. Brady is going to need to adjust. Nico left and our defense kept us in the game. Josh missed some throws, we dropped critical passes. But we have to work so hard for each completion. We've had very few open targets today. Is that playcalling, lack of WR talent, or both? I seem to think it's slightly more talent. But what is going on with getting Samuel/Knox involved? We're paying a significant cap to players who are having a minimal impact. I'm concerned Beane and this coaching staff just aren't the fit that we give credit for. Josh covers up most issues week to week. Not today, he was the weakness and so was the offense in general. This continues and I'm in the burn it down and restart next year with a new staff. This just isn't possible to have an MVP QB type and play this bad, without major changes.
  12. I'm 99% optimistic. However, I'm really concerned after 2 losses against contenders. The "complentary" football is just not happening. Not clutch on offense this week. Last week a disaster. I'm just stuck questioning leadership at all levels. Some great drafts, some medicore drafts, some great scheming, then horrible 1st half playcalling. How does a generational QB play so bad in an entire half+? Is it WRs, playcalling, QB play, oline? It's just baffling. With all the dead cap and injuries, everyone is saying bad luck and some bad decisions. At some point, you look in the mirror and say "why haven't the Bills won a SB with a top 5 QB?" I'm rooting for the Bills to win. But a major intervention might be needed.
  13. Agree. I'm pro/optimistic Bills almost.99% of time. But I'm ready for a new front office and coaching staff. An MVP talent like Josh is a HUGE credit to Beane and staff. But performances like today and last week, I don't know what to say. We are at a proverbial T in the road. Staying with the know OR going a different direction hoping for greener pastures. I think nothing should be done until end of season. But I'm unfortunately in a position of acknowledging change might be needed.
  14. I will eat crow for this offense being very good. Combo of Brady, poor WR play, OL inconsistent, and missed plays (either Josh or drops). We are severely lacking speed/guys who can separate. Josh missed 2 key throws today. But he bails us out on many more occasions. It would take a very good OC to succeed. And Bradys passing attack is severely lacking, in the 2024 NFL
  15. Something overall wrong with the offense. Brady started well, offense has struggled tho last 2 weeks. Lots of blame to pass around. We have zero creativity right now. Zero screen game to RBs. Combo of some mistakes across the board.
  16. Josh played an OK, 2nd half. Our hobbled D gave up 23 overall, 6 in 2nd half. Offense laid an egg, Josh 1st half doomed us.
  17. Need that stop right now!!! Someone get pressure and force a poor throw/tip I'm feeling it Rasul make it happen
  18. Need more congestion routes/bunch formations, out routes. Get the stop now D!
  19. I just want a TD here. They have a solid deep yard kicker. Want a 4 point lead
  20. Agree on MVS. Diggs eating 30M is on Diggs and Beane. Really hamstrung us. Need Keon to learn quick.
  21. That's a great ball, MVS needs to be stronger at Point of catch. I don't mind 2 runs, just wish we'd use some misdirection.
  22. That's it Josh, LFG! @Einstein yeah I'm a troll cheering for Josh and team. Let's goooo!
  23. Massive decision by McD, best case result...LFG D. Keep to a FG
