Our screen game is puzzling
MasterStrategist replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is it 💯 Starts with OL and they don't sell worth a damn. Need a quick hand flash and shove, then let the rusher go and get in front of RB. Josh seems to stare it down. and also throw a split second early. Screen games take alot of work, glad we're trying but this is why we never see the RB screens in most games. -
11/10/24 Game 10 GAMEDAY! Bills at Colts Post Game Thread

And this is the mic drop moment. I careless about a 40-20 win or 23-20 win. We haven't been able to make solid adjustments at the half this consistently on both sides (in past) , or battle through close games. I like what we're doing on both sides. Just need to clean up a few things, and get healthy. -
I said it for a while, Steelers continue to be my pick for AfC North. As long as TJ stays healthy, they have the most complete team in that division. They have stars on both sides (Watt, Pickens, Minkah, Boswell) and OL improving as well. They stay healthy, I'd rather play Cincy or Ravens come playoffs. Chargers look like a lock for a wildcard. As do the Afc North #2. Bengals likely get that 7th seed IMO. Better yet that they're front office went all in on a losing season. They're just a total train wreck in all phases right now.

If someone told me preseason that the Jets made a trade for Davante, and would be sitting at 3-7, I'd say no chance. This is literally icing on the cake to us being 8-2, which is also pretty remarkable given our injuries. Been a crazy year in the AFC.

If this was playoffs, I'd be very concerned. Sometimes playing without key starters, can bring out positive aspects/prove we can win in adversity. Not what I or anyone wants, but it's the nature of the NFL. Defense and S/T has to win us some games occasionally too. I'd take a well rounded team over a 1 dimensional offense or defense any day of the week. Think we have alot of positives. Need to avoid costly penalties and making sure we cash in on big plays when given to us (we missed 2-3 today).

Agree completely. If I had to bet, Cooper comes back after bye week and 50/50 on Keon. Good thing on offense is we built our identity on the run game/short area passing attack. Brady has plenty of options to generate a productive offense still. This is the exact mold McD always talks about, complimentary football. Need the defense to generate a couple turnovers and solid S/T play.

Shakir and Kincaid are our 2 most important weapons to have on the field, so it's not all doom and gloom. Guessing it will be Virgil (his last callup before he'd have to be promoted to 53), and Shavers getting called up this week. Going to need our backs to get even more involved in passing game/YAC. And would be nice to see some more misdirection, be it jet sweeps, various screens/etc. Brady might need to manufacture some yards against a fast/aggressive Colts D. Along with Josh running.

Amari is probably a long shot this week still, just my thoughts based on his recent comments about catching (gripping seemed fine). Not confident he's ready until after the bye week. Likely same with Keon, possibly longer.

Coleman out this week. Sean clarified he is "week to week" , "possibly beyond that"
