I really liked Booth in the tape I have seen, but I trust McD. I'm just happy they went corner. It is the biggest need, especially since I don't think we will see a truly healthy White until late next year, hopefully just before playoff time.

My cousin's son actually plays with him at Iowa State. Good kid, really good player, but with that said I wouldn't take him unless he somehow fell to them in the 2nd. It has to be either we or cb in the first, especially with the money being thrown around at those positions.

I think the thing with Tua is that everything will have to be perfect for him to succeed. He can't cover up any weakness. All parts of the offense have to be really solid offensive line, run game, and receivers. He doesn't take chances in tight windows. It worked at Alabama when he was always throwing to wide open guys while in the pocket with great protection. As soon as you get him off his spot, he really struggles with making any improvisational plays. He's fine as long as he can sit in a clean pocket and make simple reads.

A poor man's Patterson (Laviska Shenault Jr.)
Udubalum07 replied to filthymcnasty08's topic in The Stadium Wall
I watched him a lot in college. He has some definite ability. He has had terrible QB play, and if he can be had for a 6th, it is worth the flyer. Getting Diggs working with him, he would be able to improve his route running. Gabe Davis has improved a lot in two years, Shenault could do the same. He is a more quiet and humble personality, and would fit in well here. -
Star released. Pre-6/1 per Joe B, $1.5M cap savings.
Udubalum07 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
In terms of doing it now instead of post June 1st, I think has a lot to do with JA's contact. He is still a small cap hit this year. Goes up a lot next year, and this way Star doesn't count anything against next year's cap. Plus Bean said he doesn't like to rely on post June cuts unless he has to. -
I would prefer if we could get a 2nd for Tremaine and draft Chad Muma. Much more of an instinctive, playmaking middle linebacker. Use the cap savings to sign Chandler Jones.

Has the NFL season ended for anyone else?
Udubalum07 replied to billsintaiwan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The first couple of days, I wasn't sure I would watch, but I'm a big football fan, so I will have the games on. -
Still too raw for me. This one hurt bad. Don't know if I can watch the kc game this week. A little torn though Being a Wyoming guy, I want to see Logan Wilson, but it's going to be hard watching the chiefs.

One of the biggest things to consider is the lack of premier coaching he had up until at least Wyoming and into the NFL. Most all qbs coming out were tabbed as superstars in middle school or high school, and were getting elite qb coaching and athletic training opportunities. Josh didn't have any of those things through small town high school, junior college, and finally got a little more of it in college. The thing is he was about 6 years behind most qb prospects in both athletic and QB training. It is amazing how quickly he has become a top 5 qb in the NFL, both from a passing and running ability.

A good of mines wife works the boxes at Arrowhead. She has said Patrick and his I believe fiance are great, and kind to everyone, but he is having to apologize for his mom, brother, and brother's girlfriend pretty regularly. I don't believe this was intentional, but definitely not thinking, and yet again something Patrick will have to apologize for.

I don't know if it is more fear of Mac Jones, but of the coaching staff and history. They are doing a great of putting him in the right play calls for his abilities, and current development. He does make quick decisions, and avoids mistakes. A lot like Brady early on. The key is defense, and they have shown better and better throughout the season. I think it could be two tough games, but they aren't ready to take the division back from the bills this year.

Two of the best .. Hyde and Poyer Mic'd up
Udubalum07 replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, I find that interesting, too. Sometimes offenses and defenses can kind of seclude themselves on a team. This team, through the number of years playing together, and the culture has a lot of interaction regardless of position. It's fun to follow them. -
Jones got his hands on Josh up to top, and Josh just kind of swats him away like a gnat at a BBQ.

I will be there. I live in Omaha, so I'm making the drive. If your looking for some bbq while you're there I recommend q39 or Joe's their both fantastic. Nice to see other bills fans are making the trip.

This all has been fantastic! It's not right to downplay the opponents. Nobody else are heading these teams this bad. The truth is the chiefs and Titans will be hyped. I'm hoping we beat them both!

I will be at the kc game next week. Do you think we give Cody Ford another shot next week or move Williams inside again? In terms of do we make it a wake up call or more a permanent change. I personally think Brown is there to stay and we move other pieces around to keep him in the lineup.

Picking up Edmunds Option a Rare Beane Mistake
Udubalum07 replied to Billy Zabka's topic in The Stadium Wall
While I do think Edmonds does a lot of little things that he doesn't get credit for, part of the disappointment is where he was drafted. As a first round pick at middle linebacker, you're looking for a playmaker. He just doesn't seem to make enough impact plays. Also, being a Wyoming guy, and seeing what Logan Wilson is doing for their defense has me wishing he would be in the middle of Buffalo's. Last game he had 14 tackles two picks and a couple pass breakups against the same Steelers that beat Buffalo, and he is in only in his first year starting. Some guys have a natural ability to attack and make plays. As much as Edmunds seems like a good guy and we'll liked around the team, I just don't see him as one of those guys. -
Bills claim WR Rico Gafford and DT Joey Ivie
Udubalum07 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As a Wyoming grad this is interesting. Rico actually played corner at Wyoming. He is a burner. He ran in the 4.3's in his pro day, but Josh never threw to him as a wide receiver in college. He would definitely know him, and no doubt that he comes with Josh's approval. -
Best 5 Offensive Lineman Could Be Interesting
Udubalum07 replied to All I Need is Hope's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a good topic with a lot of competition. Barring injuries I think Williams, ford, and Dawkins are pretty locked in. The competition comes with the other two spots between IB, Lamp, Bates, and mongo. I believe brown will be the swing tackle with Bates also being a possibility if Brown isn't ready yet to contribute. -
Mac Jones vs Zach Wilson
Udubalum07 replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I went with Jones. As much as I hate the pats, I know BB is a heck of a coach. We don't know anything about how good the jets will be. They could whiff on the majority of their picks, and everything they accumulated would be pointless.
