As per the ESPN resident alien John Clayton
IndyJay1234 replied to BUFFALOTONE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What is wrong with Huff and Even Davis is... They are not lineman... We have been told/promised to get better on the lines. Do you expect the Bills to take anything but a offensive or defensive lineman this year? No way. Marv Levy and Ralph Wilson know that they cannot possibly sell to the fans taking a skill type position... -
The bad news if Golisano ever buys the Bills
IndyJay1234 replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know. I mean 64 and 1/2 is soooo much older...... :-) :-) -
Lets go Lions Let go!

take the 16 million and dont sign another player. We may lose a bunch of games but here is how you keep the fans coming. You make beer free at every game. You buy a ticket and you can drink free all day long. 16 million buys a lot of beer. That ought to keep us fans happy...

If the guy can play dont worry where they pick him. Mike Williams at 4 was logical but Dwight Freeney at 4 would have been a major reach. Who would you rather have today?

TD talks about addressing the lines and never does. Marv talks about addressing the lines and has not.

Can we stop with the trade Moulds stuff. His salary is 7.1 next season. What GM is going to give up anything for a 33 year old WR with a salary of 7.1 million?

Will Shields has been released already. -
Will Shields a possible cap casualty.
IndyJay1234 replied to CJPearl2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is not a possibility. Shields was notified of being cut on Friday Night. I guess I should say I have heard this from sources deep within. Blah Blah... It is from a very credible source that was the one that was notified. -
Reggie Wayne re-signs with the Colts
IndyJay1234 replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They dont spend 10 million on backup guards. They dont spend 10 million on 1 WR. In terms of cap hit my math says 6 years at 39 million is a little over 6 million. They are paying less than 3 million for both of the safeties they have because they drafted them. What do Milloy and Vincent make? They dont pay 4 million for a guard. They draft them and sign them to low contracts. Schobel makes more than Freeney... LB's... Again drafted vs the 12 million the Bills spend a year. 6 million for Spikes, 4 million for Fletcher, and 2 for Crowell. When the Colts spend money they get value... -
Tom Moore has stated a few times that he has no interest in becoming a head coach.

MM ...I'm not disappointed in his departure
IndyJay1234 replied to MRM33064's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because he took 1 week to try to round up some assistants. Found out NO ONE wants to come to the ZOO that is now Buffalo and then quit. -

The guy thought he could convince assistants to come to Buffalo. He tried for a week. Everyone says no way jose and then what? If you cant get anyone good to be your coordinators you are doomed as people like to say. Better to walk away than to go 1-15 as a third year coach and NEVER get another chance. -

This is so funny guys. The man who hires him gets fired. His owner is 87. His new GM is a 80 year old coaching legend. He is 14-18. He was just told he HAD to fire several assistants to keep his job. Probably a few friends. He has just spent a week hearing laughter when he calls potential offensive and defensive coordinator prospects. Seriously. Who will take a job that could be a 1 year only job. Mularkey was on thin ice. 1 more bad year and you are gone. Ask yourself this. Would you uproot your family for a 1 year and then maybe job? No. Neither will any assistant with a family. You are the second or third lowest paid coach and a coach that makes less money than some coordinators. Your family is now tired of all of the negative talk about his job performance. So guys why is this hard to believe? Why is this even the least bit surprising? -

MOULDS TO EAGLES FOR OWENS
IndyJay1234 replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills had a good relationship with Drew R??? Noooo.. TD had the relationship with Drew R... TO is due a 7 million dollar roster bonus. So when making a trade remember we have to shell out 7 million. After feeling he got hosed with the Philly deal no way he signs for an incentive deal. He wants money up front. This is also the man that nullified a trade with Baltimore... I dont think we wanted to play with Kyle Boller so why would he want to play with JP? Also Buffalo is not exactly the media market that TO wants to be in. Mr Me... wants to be in a NY or Miami market.. Come on. Can we stop the TO stuff... -
I just love the fact that our owner and GM's 5 year plans now includes... DONT DIE.... The problem with Sullivan is that he thinks by running coaches and GM's out of town will improve the situation. I said before and I will say it again. No one good wanted the GM job. So we took a legend that has begged for a shot the last 5 years and gotten zero interest. What is next? Jim Kelly comback to play QB!!
-
Top notch from top down.... I assume that does not include the people YOU want to get rid of. So with the exception of TD we have a top notch organization?? Is that correct? Because if that is your belief who do you think put that organization together?? I mean it could be anyone but the President of the club....
-
If Adams is listed as an alternate and then is declared inactive before the game will he swim home????
-
I am sure you and many other people that live in Buffalo believe this... The truth is sadly much different.... The Bills job with the age of the owner is a notch above the New Orleans job... Will someone take it? Sure. Will a big name take it? Will someone with a proven track record take it? No friggin way.... Yes their are only 32 NFL GM positions but how many proven guys want a job that will be most likely a short tenure...
-
Just wait and watch.... Then tell me what you think of the top notch talent we get to replace TD and Mularkey... Oh wait when Gregg Williams was let go we were able to get top notch talent by hiring Mularkey. My bad...
-
I think the point Mort is making is that Buffalo is not that attractive place to begin with.... Sorry... The team has not won in 6 years..... The other factor is that the owner is 87 years old. Whomever he selects will have to worry about the health of the owner. When Ralph dies a new owner will be in place. If that owner wants to bring in his own people then you as GM are out.... That and the fact that if you run off Mularkey in two years Buffalo will be an awful place to be a head coach. No one will want that job either..

gosh... gee...

Fine. Replace him. But calling Posey TD's biggest failure is WAY overboard.
