You should have been broken a long time ago. Not sure what affirmation your looking for.

10-0 incoming. Super sweet. So what now? We can't beat the upper level AFC teams and we can no longer even hang with the garbage teams. What's the effing plan?
I’m sure they will have a new slogan this week.

Really? If a mid tier safety is available, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to look.

That's why I am defending him. Hamlin isn't an amazing player, but he certainly isn't bad. He is a serviceable starter. Should we upgrade? Sure. But he is not a terrible liability out there like everyone is saying.
Can’t disagree with you more. Especially as a serviceable starter. Way too slow, poor angles, and poor coverage skills. Dude shouldn’t even be on the roster let alone starting.

Beane had to do something. The money, compensation, and the potential of the player fits exactly in line with what we are trying to do schematically. Good trade that hopefully “unlocks” our offense. Kudos to beane for at least recognizing that our wr corp was not meeting expectations.

This D isn't stopping anyone. Our pass rush is nonexistent and our safeties are without a doubt the worst tandem in the league.

Call it whatever you like…the point is, the Bills have their work cut out for them, and they’re likely not gonna be there by next year, as much I wish it were the case…
So, I’m thinking 2026 is more likely, based on your info of Knox and Milano, and Miller…
Just in time for new stadium. Hopefully they build a monster.

Von Miller has a cap hit of $23.9 million in 2025. Cutting him would save $8.5 million against the cap and would incur $15.4 million in dead money.
Matt Milano has a cap hit of $16.1 million in 2025. Cutting him would negatively affect the cap (loss of $1.1 million) and incur $17.3 million in dead money. Not sure how trading affects that or not.
Ed Oliver has a cap hit of $20.8 million in 2025. Cutting him would negatively affect the cap (loss of $5.7 million) and incur $26.5 million in dead money.
Dawson Knox has a cap hit of $14.0 million in 2025. Cutting him would negatively affect the cap (loss of $2.9 million) and incur $17.0 million in dead money.
Seems like a lot of bad moves for Buffalo. But someone else can speak to how trading might impact those numbers. I don't know exactly how that works myself.
Looks like a whole lot of net loss, and not much gain. And this right here illustrates why “the beane is a wizard” mantra is absurd. I’m not saying he is a horrible gm. But in the same token he is not as brilliant as some here would believe. Middling. Kind of like our coaching come playoff time.

sure. Trade him and get basically nothing in return. This place sucks nowTo get out of that contract would be a nice start alone. Don’t know how well you think he is going to bounce back over 30 with the amount of injuries he has sustained. It’s like we expect these players to bounce right back as there former selves.

Nobody wants constantly injured aging over-priced players. We're stuck with him and Von for another year.
Why not? We have been doing that the past three years. Remember beane is a wizard.

So this is the situation the Steelers are stuck in. They never have a losing season under Tomlin so they never get high draft picks, and so they're always hanging around but never winning it all. I hope the Bills never have losing seasons too but they eventually will, and that pain is what's needed to get a top pick.
They also never had a Josh Allen. When Ben was there they were in the thick of it. Which is much more than I can say for this regime being bounced in the divisional round over and over again.

the next 6 games before the by it’s pretty realistic to go 5-1 or 4-2. Bills at worst should be 7-4 going into the bye week with 2 games against the patriots at the end of the season. Going 2-2 or maybe even 1-3 in the other 4 games probably wins us the division at 10-7 or 11-6Great. You forget to add what’s next. Early playoff exit in heartbreaking fashion due to a dumb McDermott decision in the waning seconds.

While I'm here and we're on the topic of receivers separating against man coverage...
As someone who was against drafting Keon Coleman, I would be remiss not to post the following.
Not too shabby, rook. #FeedKeon
And yet he has 9 catches in 5 games. Explain that for me. Either he isn’t being utilized right or these stats are not accurate. Less than 2 receptions a game.

Many of you know me so you know I live in Tampa. The good news for us is we are elevation C so not a mandatory evacuation. A, B zones are mandatory so basically anywhere near water including all the areas around the Bay. I’m fortunate as our condo is although on the 1st floor, my glass and windows is all East facing so the front of the building will get nailed.
I appreciate the well wishes. Once you gassed up, get the shudders up, buy you’re perishable foods and water, and get gas. Then it’s just wait it out or leave. We stayed.Bottom line is heavy wind and rain and then it gets really bad from 7pm to 7 am.
It’s too bad there is not more interesting NFL news as well get cabin fever by Friday. All shops etc. are on a mandatory close now until 7pm Thursday. We’ve been ordered to stay in homes or shelters during this time. Only emergency vehicles moving forward.
Stay safe. And prayers to you and Florida

In the Orlando Metro area, we are expecting wind gusts of 80+ MPH, 8 inches of rain, and extended power outages.
Things in the Tampa St. Pete area are going to be much worse....in fact, most of that area of Florida has evacuated to the Orlando area.
Didn't really enjoy the game this week knowing what is coming, and most likely won't see the next one unless I am extremely lucky about not losing power.
Funny enough, during Ian 2 years ago, 95% of my County lost power, but remarkably, I was in the 5%......so here's to hoping I get that lucky again.
If not, I and many of our Florida Bills fans may not be able to check in for a while, so spare a thought for us down here in FL and wish us a safe passage through this storm....I will post an update as soon as I can, and I hope our other Fl Bills fans do the same when they can.
Stay safe, everyone!!
Stay safe as well

24 minutes ago, HappyDays said:Since this has turned into the semi-monthly Fire McDermott thread, here's what I'll say - I think we will know by the trade deadline if McDermott and Beane feel any pressure about their jobs. If they make a trade for a legit WR that will tell me they feel some sort of pressure to turn things around. If instead they keep the status quo which means Mack Hollins continues to be a regular part of the offense which ensures Josh Allen getting the snot beat out of him for the next three months, that tells me they have been told they have nothing to be worried about. The arguments on McDermott have been hashed out a million times and nothing that happens this season is going to change anyone's mind. But there's only one person in the entire world whose opinion on the subject actully matters and I am very curious to know what that messaging has been like.
And that’s the elephant in the room. I just don’t think pegula has the b@**$ to do it. Bills are competitive and he is making money.

We are in this situation paying our QB, our departed Pro Bowl WR, and our nonexistent (yet everyone was excited to get) pass rusher. The cap doesn't not lend to having a decent QB and still having money. Texans will face this in a year and the Ravens will too.
-Dawson knox
-Curtis Samuel
-Kiar Elam

These 4 players are in the top 10 most expensive players against the cap. Don’t tell me about diggs or miller. You just reinforce my point. Of the four players above two ride the pine, one looks like a horrible signing and bass has looked shaky the past two seasons. In what world is this good cap management. Remove these four players and you could afford d. Adams. Oh wait that’s another blunder cause you thought u could replace diggs with Collin’s and Coleman. For the love of god please don’t make me list the garbage dt, and de that never panned out over the last 6 years.
