Beane is an enigma. Some claim he is a wizard. Others say he has missed out a lot on early round draft picks, has bad contracts, and now has aging and oft injured players on defense. I’m curious to see what others think. What say you?

Why did it take u so long? Just saying. -

Buffalo @ Philadelphia Game Thread - 1st half
<bills4life> replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Makes u wonder sometimes. -
He should be our number 2 this year.

Bills could be tied for 1st in the AFC at 7-4
<bills4life> replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
You should be. Kc Philly Dallas chargers and Miami can score points. If our offense does not get back on track we are in for a long second half of season. -
Agreed. I just feel that a team with an all-world qb that has talent surrounding him with minimal injuries, should be bailing out the defense and not the other way around. The bills at this point should be attempting to win in shoot out fashion as opposed to complimentary football. Precisely because of the defensive injuries. Relying on that depleted defense at the end of the game to make a stop or force a turnover is a recipe for disaster.
-
Yes 3 and outs will do that. Especially since we like to play “complimentary football”. Opening drives we do well, 4th quarter we start moving ball after trailing. Rest of 1st quarter up to beginning of 4th the offense struggles because we change up schemes and packages. Don’t even get me started about shotgun formations at 1 yard line to be stuffed on draw twice this year, only to end up with zero points. This offense should be averaging 31 points a game. Hit that threshold and we win more games than not. Here again. This is not a defensive problem. Good offenses can move the ball regardless of field position.
-
Exactly what injuries occurred on the offensive side of the ball that have contributed to the lack of production? Even with all of the injuries, the defense has performed admirably and has done enough for us to win games. The defense is not the problem right now. I don’t want to hear excuses. If the defense was giving up 30 points a game, then I would say yes there is credence to your argument.

McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense
<bills4life> replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Funny you say this because I have felt the same way throughout his tenure, only to remain silent as to not infuriate the message board -
McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense

And how many times has this answer been given to McDermott throughout the season? Because this movie has been played way too many times throughout the season. Either way it is inexcusable on both their parts regardless. -
McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense
<bills4life> replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
So let me get this straight. We score with ease the opening drive and then slow down the tempo and style to experiment with schemes. This might explain why the offense at beginning of games are moving the ball, only to become stagnant for 2 1/2 quarters with three and outs. Then in the fourth quarter we go uptempo because we r behind and then by magic start moving the ball again and start scoring. Got it. Genius. And silly me thought you continue to use what works for you until the opposing team has adapted. If not you continue to exploit those weaknesses. SMH. No wonder this offense looks so bipolar. Must be tough as a player to find any sort of rhythm sometimes. -
Random talking head says something about the Bills

People seem to forget that playoff loss. It’s been a problem for years. 13 seconds should have been the epiphany moment. -
Week 9, Bills v. Bengals - Predict the Score
<bills4life> replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bengals-38 Bills-17 -
-inability to hold a lead in playoffs vs Texans up 20-3 at half time -13 seconds kc -skyler Thompson almost beating bills in playoffs last season -Tyrod Taylor almost leading giants down field to win last drive -Mac jones leading New England to victory last week on last drive -Dustin Hopkins catch in end zone on last play Arizona -baker mayfield bomb at end of game that could have been caught. Is this the defense you are talking about? Because it doesn’t leave me with much confidence moving forward come playoff time against better teams. There is a pattern here and it comes down to coaching.
-
Yeah lining up at the 1 inch line at the goal line in a shotgun formation only to get stuffed a yard and a half behind the line of scrimmage to end up with nothing is a sure stroke of genius. Same thing happened the week before. Which cost is the game. Don’t even get me started on the defense. Take off your rose colored glasses. This coaching staff is in way over its head.

The Bills are Going to Miss the Playoffs
<bills4life> replied to DapperCam's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would love to see it, however I think you are setting your self up to be seriously disappointed. I’m just not seeing it. 9-8. No playoffs. This team is just too inconsistent. -
“The Lord tells me He can get me out of this mess, but He’s pretty sure you’re f***ed.”
-
It’s such a joke. Right. You can’t make it up. Embarrassing.
-
I agree. I would wait for end of season. But the rebel in me wants them gone now.
-
Where is the option to fire them both?
-
And this is exactly the reason why I am done with this coaching staff. That last drive New England scored on has epitomized Sean mcdermotts entire tenure here.

😂 I hope this is sarcasm
