in order of bolded: -I never implied that you were -and what exactly has he done? Win some afc east titles? Okay I guess -I would argue that most decent coaches would have similar outcomes with josh allen as their qb. -people pointing out flaws or criticism is not always necessarily ranting or raging in my humble opinion. i am also not saying you are wrong with your assessments. However I also subscribe to the mantra “insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome. I have zero problems with McDermott as a leader, culture builder, teacher and scheme builder. My problem is his in game coaching decisions at critical points during the game especially in the playoffs. At times he exhibits very poor judgment and mental lapses. If you are telling me you have a franchise qb and other talented players, not to mention the qualities I gave him props for, and it still isn’t enough? That tells me a change needs to be made.

“It’s business, it’s not personal”. A lot of McDermott detractors would say he is not a horrible coach. However like you so eloquently laid out with your “of mice and men” analogy, things go awry. We are now going into year 7 with 1 afc championship appearance. I’m sorry but that’s a problem. I understand many are infuriated with the ungrateful negative Nancy’s. But on the flip side many are infuriated with the good ship lolly pop “beane is a wizard” “McDermott is doing a great job crowd.”I think most can agree that the bills are not achieving at the level they should be. One group wants to be divorced from the negativity and the other wants to be divorced from complicit apologists. The truth is somewhere in the middle. I’m older so I don’t have time for excuses. I have more of a sense of urgency. When you are younger, there is a lot more time to wait.

You have way more faith than I do. A lot can change between now and opening day. But one common denominator remains and that’s McDermott. His playoff game day coaching is enough to get us eliminated each and every year. Divisional playoff loss here we come. 0-6 vs teams who have won their division in playoffs. Not good.

Are we looking at it all wrong, esp. With Josh Allen?
<bills4life> replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
How people think this way is beyond infuriating. Especially when we can all agree Josh is a generational talent. A potential all time great and yet afc championship appearances are far and few in between let alone the Super Bowl. But hey let’s enjoy the ride as half of his career is potentially wasted. Participation trophies for everyone because after all it’s better than the drought years. Ridiculous. Maybe we can have another 6 years like this and we can all feel good because we are relevant again. Disgusting. News flash for everyone, Josh would make any mediocre coach and gm look good. This team does not have a championship team feel at all, like the bills teams of the 90’s. And yet we have a potential better qb better than Jim Kelly. Let that sink in. -

And then back it up with Malachi Corley in the 3rd. I think he is going to be a steal for someone.

Not saying I like or agree with it, but I could see bills selecting Chop Robinson de penn st.

With all due respect after having an acl tear last year and an Achilles tendon tear this year, how it’s even a thought process that he could be our best cb at any time moving forward. That’s just crazy talk to me and wishful thinking. I don’t know many cbs who come back from Achilles tendon tears. Do you? Great teams like kc and the patriots of old knew when to move on from players. I love tre white, however from a business perspective he needs to be released. -

By what politics do you mean? Because I’m pretty sure there are is enough “dark language and bashing” to go around regardless of political affiliation. But censuring someone because you don’t agree with what they say? That sounds communistic to me. Especially over the word “simpleton”. -
What will you do when the Bills win the Super Bowl?

Looking down from heaven with joy, or burning in hell not aware because I am forced to watch wide right for all eternity. -
Great. What could go wrong?

McDermott - Excuses, Valid but concerning
<bills4life> replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
And if the ball wasn’t fumbled in the end zone after a fake punt with the score 20-17 in the 3rd quarter, would it still be about the offense? Or would it be just another example of McDermott having a lapse in judgement? 13 seconds of all things should have taught us that no matter how good your team is and no matter how well your qb plays, that one poor coaching mistake is enough to get you booted from the playoffs. Don’t even get me started on aj Klein covering kelce or Elam riding pine when Rasul Douglas can hardly move or our healthy d line registering barely any pressure. -

McDermott - Excuses, Valid but concerning

And the worst part about it is that we will be having these very same discussions next season, while at the same time wasting another year of josh allen in his prime with no recourse. -
Was the Bills/Chiefs Game decided in Week 18?
<bills4life> replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
And this is exactly what happens when you are forced to play playoff football after going 6-6. Admirable that they came back, however not surprising they lost in the divisional round. But hey let’s run it back again with McDermott. Maybe things will be different. 🤦♂️ -

We will win a Super Bowl here with Josh Allen…
<bills4life> replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall
You forgot to add if McDermott is still the head coach -
Who said anything about winning the Super Bowl? It would be nice to get to afc championship games and not lose in the wild card or divisional playoff rounds with a franchise qb who even on his best days is not good enough. Dude is virtually flawless come playoffs and it still isn’t enough. That’s a problem.

Isn’t that what we have been doing the past few years in the divisional round? I mean damn I guess it’s great if you are just happy to be there every year. That my friend is the definition of a loser. Winners expect and demand more.
