How many quarterbacks were drafted ahead of Tom Brady? Chad Pennington. Giovanni Carmazzi. Chris Redman. Tee Martin. Marc Bulger. Spergon Wynn. it can work both ways though 😂 -

Agreed. But if he hits this could go down as one of beane’s finest draft classes. -

This kid has some skills. Love the pick. -

It seems like a tough ask to expect Samuel’s and a kid with 5-100 yd games in four years to equal that production. But technically you are correct. I don’t feel encouraged by that. It appears the front office and many others are though. Hope you are correct. -

God I hope he does. Because getting only Keon Coleman in arguably one of the best wr draft in years and was our number one need in the off-season after letting go of our 1a and 1b starting receivers, feels like front office malfeasance. Coleman better be as good as they think he is. -

He reminds me of a more powerful and slightly faster Devin Singletary -

And this is exactly the reason why I preferred Ladd mckonky. Hopefully he pans out. -

I’m not saying you are wrong. What concerns me is that in 28 games over his college career he only eclipsed 100 yds 5 times. He may end up being a great pro. I just like to see some consistency. 5 games over 100 yards in a span of 4 years is not very encouraging. That comes to 1 game a year over 100 yds in a game. No where near the production I would expect from the number 33 pick in the draft. He sounds like a project to me. The kind you take a flyer on in the 5, 6, and 7 round. I really hope I am wrong and you are correct. -
Who knows maybe beane has a trade in place for a dk metcalf type player. If that is the case I would feel so much better knowing that Coleman is our Gabe Davis replacement and not our number one.

And those who blindly anoint beane as the second coming of Jesus Christ are every bit of insufferable.

Fair enough. However I am still underwhelmed with all of the free agents brought in along the defensive line and defensive ends the past 6 years. Maybe three have played up to the level of their contract. Our draft choices outside of ed Oliver on the line are pedestrian. This is a scoring league. The rules favor offense. Josh is a franchise qb. Get him studs across the board. And off to the races. Stop with this complimentary football nonsense and put up points. Our defense come playoff time, against better offenses can’t hold them anyways. The philosophy at one bills drive needs to change.

At that point in time it wasn’t hindsight though was it. I guess my point is that you are correct that even the great ones get it wrong. Sometimes being so close to it can sometimes cloud judgement. And because of that people shouldn’t be so dismissive of individuals on this board. There are a lot of people on here who really know their stuff. This is not an endorsement of myself either. I’m truly amazed at how some people know and understand the x and o of the game. I learn new things every time I am on here. And I have been watching for almost 50 years. -

I wanted Patrick mahomes the year before when we traded it for t. White. Admittedly I wanted no part of josh allen initially. -

Yeah I know right. All of these “stupid” people on here who wanted: dk metcalf>cody ford creed Humphrey >boogie basham brian orkapo >aaron maybin holoti ngata> Donte whitner And then my favorite the trade up for Sammy Watkins when some of us thought it was for Khalil Mack from ub. -

Especially over 5 draft spots that we received draft compensation for not once but twice. Sounds like a lot of nervousness, apprehension, and fear of the unknown. I will let it play out and reserve judgement until then.
