Giants gonna Giant...

Ok. I guess it just depends on what you consider 'the best' QB. I would think record to team would figure into it. No doubt that Marino was a great QB, but for Kelly NOT to be considered the top QB in the AFC East during the superbowl run just doesn't sound right. He did lead an innovative offense where he made the calls.

Who was better than Jim Kelly and the 4 superbowls that he led us to?

Why trade that many picks when you can just tank this year w/ Stidham and get Trevor next year... That would be a little smarter.

Brandon Beane - Please Draft Offensive Playmakers
hjnick replied to ColoradoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I totally agree with you about wanting a stable of running backs. This does not mean that I think Singletary is not good, I do and I like him as a RB, BUT we should be drafting a RB in every draft to keep bringing in fresh legs into the stable. Once we have used the RB for 4-5 years, let them go to another team if they like OR sign a team friendly deal to stay. We will have 3-4 other RB's just waiting to take their place. -

For me at 54... As long as it is a RB, WR, OT, DE or CB, whatever Beane thinks is best for the team. If a Mims, Shenault, Higgins type is there, I'd be good with that. If one of the 3 top RB's is there, I'd be good with that. I don't know the OT, DE, or CB's as well as those positions, so if Beane like that position better, then ok. -

Gase, pay the man! 20MIL/yr... Do not waste one second. Pay your best safety top $$$. -
Could you imagine Simmons in our defense... Wow. If would make it to #13, if we still had a 1st round pick I would have tried to trade up for him. Dude is a monster.
-
I would love a crazy first round... Let's start with Wash at #2! ?

Honestly, Rosen has gotten a crap luck start in the NFL. Has put behind a terrible AZ line as a rookie, then traded to the tanking Miami team... If some team would actually give the kid a shot behind a decent Oline, he might flourish... BUT just like the knock on him coming out of college, his psyche might be completely shot.

My Personal "Fan Crush" Players for the 2020 Draft !

Is #23 for Syracuse their #1 CB? If so, then Gandy had some moments if Liberty's QB was better. -

Tre White - Best in the League?
hjnick replied to Houston's #1 Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't have any solid evidence, just a gut feeling about it. If I had to pay 2 spots on my DEF to have 1 Elite player, it would be Defensive End and Cornerback. If you can use 1 player to take away an opposing teams best receiving threat and make them beat you with their 2,3,4th options, I think that puts your defense in a positive position to make plays and stop the offense. You can also be more creative in your other coverages if you can trust that CB to hold that WR1 down. IMO, that almost give you 'an extra man' on the field for defending the rest of the offensive team. -

How about 2 WR's, 2 RB's and a Punter in the draft, then sign Clowney for the D? I think that help both sides of the ball. -

Love this pick. When you can get a potential franchise QB for the next decade plus.... you take him. If Washington had any sense, this is what they would do in real life. -
What's a unique/hot draft take that you hold to?
hjnick replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
- Washington is idiotic for not taking Tua at #2. Haskins IMO, is not good and Tua at the very least will be a good bus driver type of QB (Dak like). - Buffalo will take 2 WR's in this draft. - A highly graded WR will be there for Buffalo in the 2nd round and they will take them. - New England will NOT draft a QB. They are going with Stidham. -
