Beane hasn’t proven he knows how to build a dline and McDermott hasn’t proven he knows how to get the most out of one! How confident are you going forward that we’ll even sign or draft an impact player this offseason? This defense needs a pass rusher, impact DT, cover corner and an impact safety. Thats a lot to hit on in one offseason. His trades for offensive weapons haven’t been good either…..free agency has been even worse. Been along time since we signed Beasley, Brown and traded for Diggs….been a dumpster fire since then!

We were on our way to getting torched with or without Benford. They were gonna pick on Hamlin …..just so happened that when Benford got hurt it went from pick on Hamlin exclusively to take your pick now with Hamlin or Elam.

I’m blaming the coaching over the GM. I’ve seen coaches win with a lot less, other than Mac Jones, Bo Nix and a games against Lamar Jackson have we ever put together a good defensive gameplan in the playoffs? All the draft picks and money dumped into the defense since McDermott has been here you’d think we should have a Super Bowl caliber defense by now! Elam - bust Basham - bust Epenesa - marginal starter Edmunds - good starter but left Phillips - good starter but left Bishop - jury is out but no impact yr 1 Carter - jury is out but no impact yr 1 D. Williams - spot starter All these guys were drafted rounds 1-3 and not one of them is a high impact player. Epenesa is the only player that received a second contract….probably should’ve re-signed Phillips and let Epenesa walk. And no more slow safeties

6 trips inside the Bills redzone…..4 touchdowns, 1 FG and 1 kneel down. Would’ve been great if the defense could’ve forced a FG try on at least 1 of those trips instead of giving up 6, but that’s too much to ask.

I think we can all agree that in the playoffs we need both sides of the football to play good games which we have yet to see against the Chiefs in the McDermott era!

Bottom line….29 points is more than enough points to win a playoff game in 90% of games. The disturbing issue is under McDermott we seem to always need 35+ points to beat the Chiefs which you can’t count on against a consistently top tier Chiefs defense. Bengals held them to 24 and 23 points in the playoffs….Ravens held them to 17. 29 points should always be more than enough in a playoff game unless you’re the Bills! We had to hold an offense to 28 points - 4 touchdowns in a playoff game ……yea that’s way too much to ask 🙄 Only 2 teams all season have allowed that Chiefs offense to score more than 29 points. Only a McDermott led defense could screw this one up….the most vulnerable Chiefs offense in the Reid/Mahomes era and give up like the 3rd or 4th most points they’ve scored during their postseason run!

We’d all agree because none of us has any confidence our defense can make a stop when it truly counts!

29 points should’ve been enough points to beat that version of the Chiefs. 2-14-1 is the Chiefs record this season if every team scored 29 points on them. Every playoff can’t be decided by our offense having to score 30+ points…..just once our defense needs have a big performance when we really need them!

Defense definitely was the issue.

Every game can’t be reliant on a Josh Allen game winning drive. Just once the defense needs to put together a big game when it really counts not just against the Patriots and Broncos, but against the Chiefs!

2-14-1 Thats KC’s record this season if every team that played them scored 29 points. 29 points should’ve been more than enough to beat that team! Bill would’ve been 14-3 using the same formula.

We’ve dumped tons of money and picks into pass rushers and our pass rush still sucks. We rely on late round picks and cheap free agents for our secondary. We use mid round picks on linebackers. I have no confidence in the defense being better next year…..it’s been a middling defense for 2 seasons now!

How much faith do you have in our defense being better next year?

We had 1 and we got rid of him because he got tired of losing in the playoffs 🤷🏽‍♂️

Committing penalties when he wasn’t getting cooked in coverage……any and everything bad a safety could do he did it today along with Elam!

It was time to move on after 13 seconds. Honestly the perfect coach for us would’ve been Belichick. Offensively just let Josh Cook and you know our defensive game plans would be on par with Spags.
