And I don't know why anyone would want it to be true. I don't want him to HAND the division to us, I want to beat his *** on the field and TAKE the division from him fairly little fingersBills have to beat the Jets and many other teams first.

I think renovating New Era Field would be a huge mistake. Time to move on from the past and into the future. Something this town always seems to struggle with.

Hmm, Tom Brady's April fools was much better.

It was funny IMO. However most Bills fans will probably rage...

Right, forums are old school. Twitter is nonsense.

Bills at 6? Really? What a joke...
I think fans had the same reaction last year. Until the Bills prove otherwise, 6-10 is a good bet for this team.

Remember when the Rams tried to sign him to an offer sheet, but the Bills matched and kept him?
Now he's just sitting out there without a job.
I wonder what the heck happened. He didn't perform well enough?

He's right, but the negativity is a natural reaction to decades of poor management and bottom feeding teams. I actually feel like we kept it together better than most fan based would have for what we have endured as sports fans.
I don't think it's just all the losing. I recall in the 90's, Bills fans having a hissy if Dan Deirdorf mentioned Buffalo and snow in the same sentence on MNF. Buffalo sports fans were way ahead of thier time with the outrage culture nonsense.

14 guys disagree with you who just passed up other teams to sign in Buffalo.
Its ok to be wrong, just make peace with it.
Most of which are not top tier talent, that's the main issue.
I think Browns vs. Bills success over the next few years will be a good case study.

Im pretty sure every GM in the NFL would take the 14 guys we got over either AB or OBJ without hesitation. In fact, 31 teams could have tried to trade for those guys and almost ALL passed. And it would have cost a couple draft picks, not 14 players.
Again you are wrong. Also find it hilarious you tried to make this argument using comments about a hockey team that has nothing to do with the NFL or Bills.
The main issue is the perception of Buffalo from pro athletes, no matter the sport.

14 free agents...several turned down the Pats and other teams.
You can believe what ever false narrative you want. 14 NFL players just said you're wrong.
I mean we'll see how many of the 14 contribute to the team success. The summation of how many of them will be required to equal the contribution of an AB or an OBJ, players who laugh/cringe at the idea of playing in Buffalo.

Seriously though...you described the Redskins...didnt work out.
You don't win in the NFL spending huge on one or two free agents. You win in the NFL making your TEAM better. You want to sit back and disregard the signings because they are not some HOF credential players. Who cares. Our OL got a LOT better. Big plus. Our WR room got better, and probably going to get even better through the draft. Big Plus. We added depth, something that is CRITICAL in the NFL to several other positions we lacked it like our secondary and stuff.
Allen has more weapons, more protection, our D has more depth...you look at that and pee on it...just about everyone else looks at that as a great Free Agency. Now we can go add potential stud players in the draft like you are supposed to do. RARELY EVER has spending massive on free agents done anything for teams. Somehow thats all you see.
Thats fine...not much more I can tell you than I couldn't disagree with you more on it and not many others would agree with you either. But I also find it pretty stupid to say we can land Free Agents when we hauled a bunch in, players that other great teams wanted like the Pats too. They CHOSE the Bills over OTHER options.
But nah who cares right, that doesnt fit your victim narrative of nobody will come here. When you have a good coach and an aggressive GM who is out to build a winner with a young QB in place, things become more attractive. Not having that in the past is why we had an issue, but thats changed now. I don't see why people still want to hold on to this scorned lover mentality anymore when its clearly not accurate.
You are literally the type of person Beane was so pissed off yet. If you ever get to meet him, I would refrain from telling him your TSW handle
I mean that is a nice essay and all, but if you don't think Buffalo is way down on the destination list for pro players, you're just not looking at the situation rationally IMO.
Listen to what Robin Lehner just said about Buffalo... It's a real situation, not just a negative nelly fan delusion.

There is so much wrong with your post that I don't know where to begin, so I will just skip it like I never saw it.
The only thing I will say is maybe you should consider being a fan of the Redskins because big spending FA signings sure worked out well for them
Nice strawman, carry on...

Except say the 14 guys we signed in FA? Lmao ???♂️
Most being second tier talent, and the one who isn't is oft injured. Generally throwing a bunch of second rate bodies at the problem is not the best solution. We'll see what happens.
Top level talent rarely chooses Buffalo. Bryce Paup, Chris Spielman, Takeo Spikes, Mario Williams... It takes decades for the Bills to land enough to require both hands to count them, while most teams can accomplish the same in one rebuild cycle.

There is no rule that every NFL player needs to want to play for Buffalo.
There does seem to be a rule, most players do not want to play in Buffalo.

I am not saying it isnt difficult per se, but with the reps these guys have in practice, the difficulty would be much lower than trying to hurdle a 6'5" lb (which people even if they practice may never be able to do)
Barr wasn't 6'5" on that play though, he ducked down to make a tackle.
Both are great plays, I guess I just lean towards the play that showcases passing from a QB vs. rushing.
-
Hmm, that's a close call.
I think I'd have to give my vote to the no look pass. I know it's not as athletic as the hurdle, but it shows more mastery of the passing game, which is what you want from an NFL franchise QB.

i've never understood this. want to avoid those people? just buy club seats. comfortable seats, quick beer lines, shorter lines for the bathroom and much cleaner. it's easy to avoid the idiots. sometimes you just have to dish out a bit more cash.
What you say is true true to some extent. However I think the NFL would rather remove as many idiots from the stadium as possible so more fans can have a better experience as opposed to just the fans in the club seats.
-
That was fast. This is a good example of why Buffalo sports teams don't win championships. When they do have talent, they cannot hold on to it.

but I’d prefer to grill my food and drink my beer on game day.
Might have to stay at home and watch the game on TV then.
I would definitely start going to Bills games again if I knew there would be "higher class" citizens seated next to me as opposed to risking being seated near common denominator drunkards who swear like a sailor and spill beer all over the person seated in front of them.
In any event, I think no matter what direction they choose, you can't please all types of fans. It definitely sounds like downtown + PSL's is what is coming. I'm sure they realize tailgating is a huge thing in Buffalo, and I bet the Pegula's will do whatever they can to incorporate that to the best of their ability. However, it will never be like the "good old days", it can't. It's time to move forward.
I for one do not look forward to a stadium + shopping mall, a stadium + park pavilion's with grille's that are part of the package you can use to tailgate with would be cool, but those pavilion's would not be bringing in extra money like shops would be during the game, etc.

We might as well accept it now. Tailgating is dead/dying across the NFL. And that's by design.
The NFL probably wants a lot less drunk fans jumping through burning tables and throwing *****'s on the field. When I went to Bills games it was to watch football, not worry about getting drunk and acting like a frat boy. I think a downtown stadium + PSL's will lead things towards a more positive direction it terms of the quality of the NFL gameday experience.

^^This is kind of the point... Can't have loses like that if you think the Bills are going to seriously contend with the Pats.
