Breaking: Von Miller to bills, 6 year , 120 million

Julius Peppers 38. He'll likely be spent by 35, but that's after the 3 years. No worries -

This is bigger. Mario came here as a 1st overall pick. Von's coming here as a hall of fame EDGE. We just got the closest thing we've seen to Lawrence Taylor, since Lawrence Taylor. -

If he's still good in 4 years, just restructure it to retirement years -

I'm having trouble understanding why everyone who's terrified that Epenesa is gonna suck is so worried about Von Miller playing here for 6 years, until he's 38, like so many of the all-time greats do. I'm looking at it as we got him until he retires. -

This is one of the first things I thought. Imagine being the person who talked him out of the Bills watching the Super Bowl with him!!!!!! "Bruh I shoulda went with my first instinct" -
Nope, that guy didn't get it either. Someone else had auto bid over him. I'll just assume like Mckissinc he's getting rusty old hooks. 🤣 I need more fishing tackle like a hole in the head anyways, but I wanted those jigs
-
For all we know they were trying to pull someone else in, and when that didn't happen they doubled back on McKissinc, too. It just feels sheisty like modern dating does
-
It's a vintage tackle box, but it's loaded with glass eye bucktail jigs from like 1960's, and a bunch of other assorted lures. I can probably sell the box itself for what I'm paying, and snag like 50+ absolutely deadly walleye jigs, and a bunch of other lures for pretty much nothing. The thing is the only guy who's bid has been bidding on like 30 different things all day, so I know he's lurking, too. Really hoping I can Mckissick his ass at the last second
-
I'm getting ready to drop a last second bid on Ebay, and all this flip flopping and fake news flip flops are giving me anxiety.

Wonder how Zach Moss is feeling right about now? How many uglier chicks will we consider before deciding to stay with him.
-
The good thing is now that we know for sure what Chandler Jones top offer is, we won't want to change his mind. Start calling the legal tampering period the craigslist offer tampering period, where they just randomly give the thing they promised to sell you to the hot chick so he can check her out when she comes to pick it up.
-
Then I dunno, maybe his agent might then call Washington, and inquire??? The kicker is that Washington cried about it IMMEDIATELY, but still wasted 24 hours of our time(well Beanes) deciding if they wanted to pull the **** move or not, while our second and third choices might have been being sent somewhere else.
-
But do you think this might happen to a team with a top free agent after the comparable players at his position are already gone, leaving a team holding their junk? I say yes, and that's why I'm sticking to it being a matter of principal.
-
I already said it's not a big deal because he was just a highly paid 3D RB, but the principle of it looks and likely is nonsense. There's an expectation that his agent does his due diligence BEFORE they make an agreement. Now, my main point was that when this happens with a prized free agent, where his former team doesn't make an offer, because they don't want to make the mistake of overpaying, and a day later the new team's other 2 guys they were targeting are gone, THAT'S going to be an issue. I'll assure you that Beane isn't pleased. I think what bugs me also is that the "legal" tampering stuff is complete nonsense, and it's a cover for ACTUAL tampering. Did Alex Cappa's agent really get a deal done in 74 seconds?? C'mon man. They should have a red line free agent period policy, and enforce it thoroughly, but they'd rather do this charade to avoid having to deal with it.
-
This is my take on it. He had a handshake agreement with us, and then the commies cried about not having a chance to match. Well, if you really had interest in him, then you'd have been in touch with his agent. Once WAS saw what he got, THEN they said, oh heck, we'd have offered THAT much. Well, you didn't. I don't know if this has been done before, but if not it sets a precedent of bad faith for teams to not make an offer for fear of offering too much at first, then circling back when they know what the best offer is. It's sheisty AF. Gregory had a legit complaint about a hidden contract clause, this was thievery. Lucky for us it wasn't our top free agent target, and was just a RB who wasn't any sort of bargain. Now I have a reason to hate the dirtbag commies even more.

That was in the rare occurrence that they actually had a reasonable chance to tackle him. Most times he just threw up his peacock feathers, and took off long before that into no man's land. Everyone wants to focus on 13 seconds, and the OT drive, but I'm still hurting from watching what I just described. At least I got to feel how everyone that plays against Josh feels for a night. This works great on rookie and all-pro, but when you put it on all-madden, it doesn't work anymore.
-
Sooo much this. Nothing and I mean nothing hurt more than Mahomes just looking around for 3 cesonds, seeing everyone covered, then making an easy escape. We needed to get TO him. Containing him, and even strong coverage doesn't work. The play designs also made it impossible for Edmunds to be some new super hero spy AND cover at the same time guy. People love to rag on the guy, but no one could have done what he was being asked to do. Don't think for a second that other teams aren't reviewing that film right now as we type.

Buffalo Bills are reportedly interested in DE Chandler Jones
daz28 replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
The first guy sets the market, then the deck chairs start filling up. Hoping that BB is waiting to get the guy who comes here because we're the best option left. That way he takes a little less to play for a winner. Wishful thinking? -
How much we pay him is going to answer the million dollar question of if old vets will sign here to chase a championship. I like the signing. Guys an absolute beast, played well last year, can tutor draft pick, doesn't hurt comp pick, will make it so Josh can do an actual realistic play-action, and already knows his 2nd year is a void year. Bills interested in signing Rob Gronkowski, per Tim Graham
daz28 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's all fine and dandy, and if I were White I'd be mad, too. I'm not a Gronk fan, so I don't know what you're trying to sell me here. Maybe you should get a job on cable news, because you claim he said that he didn't regret it, and now you show me this ham sandwich for whatever reason I don't know. It's clear you made that up, and that's all really wanted to know. Have a great night.
