Exactly. I’m tired of all the early picks on defense. It’s gotten us the number one defense in the league with a lot of solid young players to develop. Enough. What we need to do is load up on offense. Our WR are either old or slow. We don’t have anyone that os young with speed. Our RB room is slow too. On top of that, we still need some solid guards to protect Allen and open holes for our runners. No. No. No. you can just as easily add a corner in the later rounds. It works both ways. Time to start throwing some elite traits into this offense and make it unstoppable.

Gunner's 2022 Mock Draft (v3 and FINAL - p.17!!)

Great point. I swear this board is divided by offense and defense. The same people that would complain are probably the same people that were pushing for Caleb Farley if he was available at 30 last year. Jameson Williams is gonna be a really good WR in this league. Not only does he have elite speed, but he also has some size to go along with that speed. Getting a top 10 pick at 25 would be a coup for this offense. -

Then you have your answer…the bills took a chance on him in the 20’s and got a steal. Happens all the time with injured players. -

Let me ask you something…where would he have gone if he hadn’t hurt his knee? -

OP…thanks for taking the time to do all that. Amazing work. Well done. As for the pick…LOVE IT!!!! Finally…people are understanding that the Bills need to “keep their fastball” as Beane put it last year. Right before he drafted 2 (!) DEs in the first consecutive rounds. Williams would be an amazing find at that spot and we would be getting a top 10 pick at 25 because of an injury that is no longer a threat of a complete return. People are getting too worked up over this injury. ACLs are 6-9 month injuries these days. We would be getting returns this year. Do we need another corner? Maybe. Maybe not. Levi and Dane did very well together…all things considered. We could vet easily take a corner in the mid rounds or add a vet to compete for CB2. The idea that it has to be a first rounder is off IMO. We have donated enough premium picks on the defense. It’s time to show Allen and the offense that they are worth a first round pick. Again… GREAT JOB!!! Exactly…McGahee’s knee was completely mangled. Plus, ACL surgery and recovery has come a long way in the last 20 years. -

You realize Willis mcgahee was very solid while he was here, right? I’m sure the Titans are regretting taking Jeffrey Simmons in the first, huh? -

This literally makes no sense, but thanks for playing… -

I can’t see that happening at all…I’d love it, but I don’t think it will happen… -

Kinda what I’m afraid of. This is what you get when you hire a defensive minded HC. -

Great…so more high picks on defense and wait until the mid to late rounds to help the offense. I really don’t know what to say…🙄 -
Offseason Trade Prediction: We acquire Saquan

BOOM!!!! I am sick at all the defense talk. It’s completely unrealistic that Allen can keep doing what he is doing now in a few years. He needs elite weapons to help him. Or an impenetrable offensive line. Or both. I think too many people look at the offensive output the last two games and think we are ok there. I don’t agree. Allen simply played at an all time level. Singletary is still slow. Beasley is still old. Sanders is still gone. The line still has its issues. To think that we need to pair a former first round corner with another one is a misjudgment in my opinion. You can easily take a respectable talent in the mid rounds. We found gabe in round 4. Why can’t we take a WR or OL in round 1 and find a solid CB2 in round 4? I think this fanbase is so used to drafting defense high that they know no other way. -

Exactly. The hammy is a concern, but anyone in this world can slip on ice and sprain and ankle or tear an acl. And you know this how? Saquon was simply unbelievable the season he was healthy. Barkley in the offense would be electric. -

Are you upset that we sent multiple assets to get Diggs? -
Couldn’t agree more. They have spent, spent, spent on defense. Last year’s first and second round picks. The year before they took a DE. Yes, we got Diggs, but it was almost like a consolation piece so fans wouldn’t complain about the offense. It’s like taking Allen in the first in 2018…then followed it up with 3 straight defensive picks. We are SOOO close…but I’m concerned Beane and McD think the ticket is to add more defense instead of looking at the coaching as the prime reason we lost last Sunday. We had the personnel, but the coaches failed the team. It’s hard to complain about an offense that puts up numbers. My main thing is you need to plan ahead. Morse is on his last legs, Beasley is in his last year, Sanders and McKenzie are likely gone. Don’t forget that we have a slow RB and basically need upgrades at both OGs. I hate that all the talk is about adding more defensive line and corner. We have the number one defense and have dumped high pick after high pick into it. I just can’t fathom watching the chiefs doing whatever they want next year as our newest defensive first and second rounders sit on the sidelines in a rotation or are largely ineffective. Let’s load up on offense and protect our best player. Give him a speedy slot that can get YAC and a RB that can hit the hole before it closes off. I honestly think this is the best ticket to beating good teams. Out score them. The defense is the number one unit in the league. Let the players we have develop and get a mid round or FA vet to compete at CB2.
-
Awesome…another late round solution for the offense.
-
Then this raises another concern…do we have a GM and HC that don’t have an eye for defensive talent? I mean, all the resources that have been dumped into the defense and it’s still “not enough”? That’s a major red flag. Do you really want them or trust them to draft the right defensive player? Yes…Beasley is back for one more year, but now would be the perfect time to draft his replacement. If we could add a slot with speed, could you imagine the possibilities? Right now, we have a guy that makes the catch and falls forward. We can improve that position.
-
I don’t understand this. We had the number one ranked defense in the entire league. Haha. We can’t keep adding to the defense without thinking ahead in that Morse could retire at any moment and Beasley is nearing the end of his contract. Not to mention it sounds like McKenzie is gone along with Sanders.
-
I’m convinced most of the “let’s draft defense” crowd are old folks. I have no way of knowing for sure, but offense is the name of today’s NFL. We finally have a QB and people still want defense instead of adding to our greatest strength. I don’t get it… And you can find that in the mid rounds or in FA.
-
So you are another advocate of ignoring offense until the mid to late rounds? If so, I don’t know what to say. This is 2022…we need to keep adding to this offense and helping our best player. We aren’t stopping teams like the chiefs….you simply need to match them point for point.
-
Exactly. You aren’t “stopping” KC. I feel Beane and McD are a little too obsessed with stopping them thinking that is the ticket to a SB. It sort of concerns me that Beane said he’s gonna add more to the defensive line this off-season and spoke specifically about corner as well. If Allen has time, he’s nearly unstoppable. However, when he does have time, he’s also throwing to slower targets who don’t get YAC. Our RB picked it up late, but is slow and was largely ineffective most of the season. We can upgrade there as well. Our defense is fine. Get a mid round or FA CB to compete with Dane and Levi, and possibly get a vet DE to replace Addison. The rest needs to be in improving the speed of our playmakers and protecting Allen. We waited over 20 years to have a qb that we can be excited about. It would be a shame if we didn’t maximize his abilities by investing early and often into helping him succeed.
-
I think it’s IOL…the priority needs to be to protect our franchise qb. Bates was good when he finally played, but I think he should be a backup. We could use a road grading guard to open up the run game and protect Allen from nasty DTs. Corner is the popular pick for a lot of you because 13 seconds is fresh in everyone’s mind and we lost Tre for some time. IMO, Wallace and Jackson fared very well together and either one could be CB2. 13 seconds was more on our coaches crapping their pants than the personnel. We could use and upgrade at CB2, but we can just as easily get that upgrade in FA or the mid rounds.
-
Cause I dont agree with your opinion? Haha. I guess that’s all we need to know about YOU.

I’m not arguing with you dude. You have clearly chosen to follow my posts. I’m not taking the bait. I know what I think and I’m not gonna let you or anyone change my mind. Have fun…
