  1. He won’t be there. If we want one of the top guys we need to take them at 25 or trade up in 2. I believe that there will be a major run on receivers in the early part of 2.
  2. Just because they have speed doesn’t mean they are good receivers. Do they have good hands? Do they run good routes? Do they have it between the ears?
  3. His hands are really good. He would have no trouble catching a josh Allen fastball…
  4. I don’t believe this at all. He’s still the top qb imo. Teams were ready for his hand to come in small. This isn’t something that should be considered shocking. He will too. He is accurate and has a good arm.
  5. Then that pushes other receivers down one spot. Imo, it still doesn’t take away from how amazing a top receiver can be in this offense.
  6. Or…we could get a CB in FA and draft a WR in the first…
  7. Dotson would be the perfect replacement for Beasley. He’s faster, more dynamic, and would be a lot cheaper for 5 full years. Yes please…
  8. So you can’t “fix the defense” in FA? Why is it that a lot of people think we can keep patching together an offense, but we have to use high picks every year on defense? It can work the other way around. In fact, I think it should. We need to get younger on offense and have some cheap contracts on guys that will be around a while. We can’t keep all our rookie deals on one side of the ball.
  9. Yeah if linderbaum is there, I hope they don’t talk themselves out of making him the pick. Think about it…would they make the same mistake a year after passing on creed Humphrey for Basham?
  10. Is Beasley meaningless in this offense? If you say no, then you have my answer. Beasley is on the last year of his deal and we need to think ahead and get a cheap option to replace him with. Diggs will prob get a raise and Davis will likely command decent money in a few years. Once we lose Beasley we will lose a big part of our greatest strength…passing the ball.
  11. I can answer this… Treylon Burks Drake London Jahan Dotson Zion Johnson Jameson Williams
  12. We aren’t picking a DE in the first round. Gotta get younger elsewhere. They made their bed with Rousseau, Basham, and Epenesa. Time to develop.
  13. I’ve said this over and over…you aren’t stopping the chiefs. The only way to “stop” them is to hope they have a bad game. It’s silly to think we can stop that offense when they are firing on all cylinders.
  14. Dear Lord…you nailed it!!!! We get a speedy playmaker for the offense and a corner in round 2. The rest is gravy. Well done…
  15. Bingo. Exactly right. The same people that say we need more speed on defense ignore the fact that we were dead last in the league in yards after the catch on offense. We really didn’t play well offensively until the second half of the Bucs game. I’m not betting anything that what we saw afterwards is sustainable until we add some more playmakers on the offensive side. As long as we have Allen, we need to do right by him and get him weapons like the chiefs have done for Mahomes.
  16. This is exactly what I’m saying. We aren’t stopping offenses like the chiefs. No one is. If they don’t play well, it’s because they are having an off night. What are we gonna do if we pass on a guy like Jameson Williams or Treylon Burks and the chiefs take them? Then you are asking your first round corner to cover guys like Hill, Hardman, top rookie. All you end up doing is keep chasing your tail. Yes. Exactly. We have the personnel on defense. The coaches let us down.
  17. I totally agree. People have the benefit of recency in determining that we need to add to the defense. I argue that the defense is pretty much loaded with really good to great players and wasn’t ranked number one by accident. This staff may be the best in the entire league in getting the most out of DBs. They made viable starters out of an undrafted FA and seventh round pick. That’s why I can’t for the life of me understand why we need a first round corner like most all outlets are saying. We can find a very good player in round 3 or 4 that would more than likely turn out to be an upgrade.
  18. This is recency bias at its finest. Again…the Bills had the number one ranked defense over the course of an entire 17 game season. The Bills offense was pretty bad over a significant stretch of the season. Don’t just look at Allen’s numbers. Without Allen during that stretch, we would have lost a few more games than we did. He was our offense. He was running for his life from pressure in his face at the snap, he was the leading rusher most games, and he was taking a ton of hits. Was the offense really good the last few games? You’re darn right they were, but don’t let that fool you that we are ok on that side of the ball. There is still a lot to improve. Are there things to improve on d? Yeah, but it’s tough to argue over a season long ranking. You can get caught up on the last few games, but I think the loss was mainly on the coaches more than anything.
  19. Awesome. Meanwhile, Jameson Williams falls to the chiefs and our first round corner can’t stop him in the playoffs.
  20. We literally had the number one ranked defense in the longest regular season in nfl history. I think you are forgetting that the offense was pretty shaky for a fairly significant stretch towards the middle of the season. Allen was literally doing everything by himself. Had no one to block for him. Guys weren’t getting open. He was the leading rusher. Etc. We need to get younger on offense. We also need to get more experience on defense. We can’t rest on our laurels and expect the same results. What do teams do at halftime even with a lead? They plan and make adjustments because they know the other team is doing the same things. Can’t be predictable. We can still upgrade on the offense.
  21. Another year of waiting till the third to take offense. No thanks.
  22. I remember watching this and instantly didn’t want the guy anymore. Haha. Thankfully he plays better than he runs. Haha
  23. Yes please. That is all…
  24. LOVE THIS!!! The idea that we need a corner in the first round is completely overrated imo. Our staff is the best in the league at developing defensive backs and why would we replace a UDFA with a first rounder? Wallace has been a very serviceable starter. So has Dane Jackson when pressed into duty. If you add Jameson Williams, this offense instantly adds the missing component it needs to be truly unstoppable…speed. Imagine having Diggs and Williams on the outside and Davis in the slot for at least two years…yes please.
  25. Chase Young? Not happening. We have a better chance of getting Montez Sweat and that isn’t happening either.
