HahHaha. You are using that as an argument? We were in a rebuild then. We literally just drafted a project qb. We are in a super bowl window now.
-
I’d love a move up too…for offense. Enough with the defense. It’s time to add some elite talent on the offensive side and go defense later.
-
You make fun of a poster with a good vocabulary and then you type “OKine”? Awesome. Really? So he didn’t go on Kyle Brandt’s podcast a few days after the end of the season saying how we need to adopt the chiefs way of building the offense?
-
I really look forward to when the Bills don’t draft your guy. There is zero chance we trade up in 1 to get a LB. Try living in the new age NFL for once. It’s pretty exciting.
-
I don’t think it’s ridiculous at all. Not one bit. Does any fan want an Aaron Rodgers type situation? That’s where we are headed if we keep going defense and ignoring WR until round 4.
-
This is one of the main reasons I think Beane will go offense early. Both Diggs and Allen are unhappy due to the line and supporting cast, and they are our best players.
-
If the bills are interested in a top WR, they are doing a very poor job of hiding it.
-
And who are you to just assume that bernard or Spector can’t take a leap?
-
What I can disagree with is sharing the same opinion that our staff values middle LB as much as some of you on this board.
-
I agree. He will get his chance. It will be a 3 horse race for starting mike imo. Elam was a healthy scratch at times this year too. And he got beat out by a sixth rounder to be the opening day starting CB2. Yet people want to dump bernard after one year because it doesn’t fit their narrative. Very short sighted imo. Allen was constantly abused on this board for accuracy issues. There were many that wanted him replaced.
-
Agree 100%. Some guys think there is “zero chance” they are ok with who they have now, even though the GM and HC have said they might have the guy on the roster already. Bernard wasn’t drafted to just be a ST guy. I think they had a plan. Oh really? Were fans ready to move on from Allen after a year?
-
I remember when people were ready to dump Allen after 1 year…how did that work out?
-
Yeah…the same coaching staff that put their first round corner as a healthy scratch multiple weeks. You are basing your opinion on that? Come on man. This staff is notorious for not playing certain rookies.
-
I totally agree. Bernard was a huge mistake. If he was BPA at that spot then we have serious scouting issues. We could have taken a lineman or something else, but instead took a guy that no one had in the third. Really weird
-
Hahahhaha!!!! You mean the same coaching staff that said the successor might already be on the roster? Your opinion is that there is “zero chance” they go that route. That’s an opinion based on how you see it. That’s literally the definition of an opinion. Again…thanks for your OPINION… Doubtful…happy days says there is “zero chance” of this happening.
-
Thank you for your opinion.

I honestly can’t understand how anyone would think otherwise. How can anyone feel a MLB is going to be the difference between now and a super bowl? It’s an offensive league and we have one of the best qbs in the game. Why wouldn’t any fan want to maximize him in every way? Our line was horrrible last year and we basically only added one guy. Why not try to keep improving it? Also…Diggs and Allen are on the brink of being very vocal about their displeasure on the emphasis on offensive talent. Will a MLB move that threat? Nope. The selection of a playmaker or OL shows those guys good faith from the GM that he has their back.
-
I honestly can’t wait until we don’t take Campbell. I’ve never been more annoyed in a pre draft season by fans hanging on to ONE GUY. It’s beyond atrocious that anyone would want to ignore getting an elite playmaker or protection for Allen yet again in favor of a slow MLB.
-
The entire premise of your argument is that the bills care as much about “upgrading” MLB as much as you do. You really aren’t giving the idea that they feel there might be a replacement already on the roster any credence. We have no idea how they feel about what they have and we have no idea what type of scheme they will run this year. The idea of trading up for a MLB is beyond laughable to me. I don’t see it in any scenario. I’m fact, if they were so worried about that position, then I feel they would have paid David or Wagner, who returned on home team discounts.
-
Talking out of both sides of your mouth again I see. Yes, by drafting a WR, that would allow that guy a year to get acclimated to take over when Davis is gone. No middle LB is going to move the needle more than offensive weapons for Allen. This team only goes as far as Allen takes them. Jack campbell isn’t going to do that.
-
It’s hilarious that you think in any way Beane would trade up in the first for a guy with a second round grade. This is 2023…the league is geared towards offense. This isn’t the old days when anyone gave a crap about who your middle LB was. In fact, I’d bet the bengals and chiefs are sitting there hoping we do something dumb like you are talking about so more offensive players fall to them.
-
Exactly. I would say that the same group that believes Beane when he talks glowingly about Spencer brown are the same people that don’t believe a word he says when he says the edmunds replacement might already be on the team.
-
We need to remember that Matt Milano was a fifth round pick so it’s not outside of the realm of possibility that a third and a seventh rounder can’t compete to be a starter. They drafted these guys as a contingency plan to losing edmunds, so it’s up to them to coach them up now.
-
Honestly, picking a LB with their first pick this year could be career suicide for Beane and McD if the offense would crap the bed. If Allen and Diggs get pissed off about not having the help they need again, then there could be more damage done than good. Beane isn’t that dumb. He will get someone for Allen and the offense early.
