  1. How about we don’t even consider the possibility of this happening? Allen is the sole reason this team is a SB contender and I don’t want to even think about a single game without him.
  2. I didn’t read all the responses, but the answer for me is, no. Keon was drafted very high in a DEEP draft for WRs. I was very surprised that he was apparently who they targeted when there were lots of concerns about his skill set as a prospect. To compound the issue, Beane didn’t double dip in a deep class like he probably should have. That’s why I also think the criticisms from the media and fans about WR and Beane are warranted. It was a head scratching selection to begin with and then not to try to hedge your bet with another receiver made zero sense. With all of that…I HOPE Keon puts it together and Beane was right. That’s what we should all want, but I certainly have my doubts.
  3. I think it has more to do with his rocket arm than anything. He doesn’t lob the ball enough because he can throw on a straight line so effortlessly. IMO, that’s why they wanted Coleman in the draft. He’s a contested catch guy. He needs to put more touch on his deep throws and the rest will take care of itself.
  4. This is something I’ve had an issue with since last year. Beane had the chance to get a burner (that they have been talking about for several years) in the mid rounds and didn’t do it. I am still baffled at how he didn’t double down, especially after losing Diggs. That one doesn’t make sense and probably never will. IMO, he deserves the criticism about not valuing wr like he should.
  5. I wonder if there will be some stubbornness about wr going forward with Beane? I mean…grown men dont like to be told how to do things and even go out of their way to do the opposite in a lot of situations. Of course we all know this will not likely happen, but I’m sure Beane is gonna wanna be right in this and not feel like he’s giving in to the fans.
  6. OP is complaining that the Bills didn’t take a safety. Haha. At least they took three corners for the defense crowd. I literally can’t believe that they keep talking about speedy receivers and took ZERO receivers. It might come back to haunt them.
  7. This is exactly where I’m at. If their answer to the WR room is banking on Coleman taking a step then it could backfire in epic fashion if he doesn’t. Remember…that’s EXACTLY what happened with Gabe Davis. He had the big playoff game against KC and they looked at him as the answer at WR2. Then the drops came and his lack of speed showed up. They didn’t have an answer because they completely bailed on picking a receiver in that draft. Hopefully they learned their lesson. I think it’s reckless to not continue to add another dynamic to the offense today. Why are you so against giving Allen the best help you can find? Serious question…
  8. Oh really? Yeah because there has never been a good receiver drafted in day 3.
  9. It’s an issue that we lack speed on offense too. Other than cook, who else puts fear into defenses in that respect?
  10. I agree. Once the run starts, the viable options will go quick. WR with speed is a definite need that so many on here completely ignore. If we don’t come away with a decent option, it will most likely show up sometime in the season like it did last year.
  11. All key players are returning? Ummm…didn’t Mack hollins lead the team in receiving tds? He’s gone. Like it or not, speedy WR would open a lot of things up for this offense and keep defenses honest so we can utilize Allen’s arm. I completely and vehemently disagree with you that we should double on corner and d tackle before we address this need. Keep an eye on Ayomanor.
  12. Yes I agree. Anyone that thinks we should just go all defense without getting a speedy WR isn’t paying attention. Allen has no deep threat at this point and that takes the bazooka out of the game plan. We need that dynamic. Go get a WR with the first pick today, then the defense crowd can have their way the rest of the draft for all I’m concerned.
  13. Yep…it’s not a coincidence the deep ball accuracy was lower last year once Allen didn’t have a true deep threat. We can’t continue to think we can dink and dunk teams to death. We need to get a deep threat back, or I fear this team is in for a slight decline in offensive production. Also…we have the best qb in the league, with quite possibly the strongest arm ever. Why the heck wouldn’t we want to utilize it? Watching Allen throw short to intermediate almost all season last year was rough. We need a deep threat to keep the defense from crowding the LOS.
  14. Why start now? They clearly drafted for need in the first three rounds even though Landon Jackson was amazing value.
  15. With Benford considered a top 5-10 corner in the league, he has to be next for an extension, right? IMO, if Beane allows him to hit FA, it will be a crazy bidding war for this guy. With corner already being a need, we can’t risk losing this guy. I’m honestly surprised he wasn’t the first one to get paid this offseason. He’s a game changer. Thoughts?
