I agree, he's a contributing place holder. I think Star still has juice left in the tank, I'm just concerned about why so many analysts think poorly of him. Yet he is massive and should continue to demand double teams, so I guess there is no need to worry.
-
That's a good point, I didn't think about it like that. Yeah ok, I guess we'll see how the new guy in the middle and star mesh and hope we can continue to build on last years success.

True and False. Our pass defence was number 1 defending yardage, not TD's, we didn't have the most INT's either. There is a definite correlation with defending the pass and having the other team run on you more, yet Minnesota allowed less TD's in both departments and so did Jacksonville and they were 2-3 behind us in pass yardage allowed. Is that just bad luck?
-
and yo, the bills were one of the worst teams defending the run last year, so I don't really care what LoAx says about him. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2018/opp.htm We allowed 17 rushing TD's and allowed a mediocre 1839 rush yards. We also allowed 111 rushing first downs (lack of urgency) and apparently, teams loved running against us. (9th most rushed on team last year.) The hyperlinks in my previous post are not able to be clicked anymore. Dunno why. Absence of Kyle Williams is one thing, yet when you look at Stars production you can't say his lack of contributions arent partly why.

Yeah maybe, and perhaps that's why WalterFootball had him ranked as a 2-star free agent in 2018. I just think we could do better for the money we are spending. https://walterfootball.com/freeagents2018DT.php Star Lotulelei, DT, Panthers. Age: 28. Signed with Bills (5 years) Star Lotulelei was a first-round pick in 2013, but never lived up to that billing. He has just been a below-average player for most of his career, but has played well enough at times to warrant a two-star rating. https://www.profootballfocus.com/nfl/players/star-lotulelei/7795 And PFF also has him ranked as an incredibly average big man, tagging him with a 59.9 rating Like you said though, perhaps he is doing what is asked and doing it well.
-
No, quite the opposite. I just don't think he is worth the money, and his play will likely continue to decline while we throw millions at him. I think playstyle and personality wise, Lotulelei and Oliver will not mesh well. He's essentially the opposite of Kyle Williams. Also, I think keeping him around sends a bad message to our new rookie 1st round draft pick that you can play mediocre, yet as long as you're a 1st round player organizations will pay you top dollar.

Man, we need to get out of this contract

This post has me thinking about the Chicago Bears, Khalil Mack, and their playoff run. I think on this forum it will be scoffed at as blasphemy, yet there is a method to the madness. I don't agree with the players you've chosen. For the right combination of players though, I think it would at least be considered.

I have, and I just read the hard rules and soft rules. I don't see the rule I broke, and I didn't even swear. I said it does not make sense that Gore would no longer be with the team after training camp considering how all the staff and media are building hype for our new RB. I also added he had more yards than any other back we had last season. How is that against the rules? I would rather discuss this via DM, yet my account wouldn't let me DM you. -

TE Tyler Kroft (Bengals) to the Bills
c-troop replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Tyler Kroft was able to go back to Rutgers next year does he put up a better stat line than Hockenson or Irv Smith Jr. did last year? Does his NFL experience make him arguably more valuable than either of those names? In a way, we have our Hock (Kroft) and our Fant (Knox) and when you compare their intangibles it becomes scary similar. - Kroft and Hock both ran their 40's in the 4.70's (4.67, and 4.70 respectively) - Kroft and Hock are both 6'5 - Knox and Fant are speedier TE's. - Knox and Fant both ran their 40's in the 4.50's (4.54, and 4.50 respectively) Could be a very ideal situation. Looking forward to seeing how our new Red Zone assassins produce. -

nobody said anything about losing games, yet it is now clear that is your disposition about what Frank Gore offers -

yeah yeah like he's gonna sign with a team where they can't guarantee him snaps and help him go into retirement at his pinnacle? nah brother, he would have signed somewhere else if he didn't think he would get ample touches to solidify his accolades. -

Like I said, he had more yards than any of our other RBs last year and he's 35. He's here to act as a player-coach, and break some records, no need to act fake about what is. There is this thing called respect in the NFL, it's not an internet forum, 14748 yards + being 400 away from breaking Barry Sanders record is not the same as 14748 posts and thinking he'll be cut so we can not make the playoffs once again and maybe win an extra game. It's ok -

At least we've heard of him before and he has some decent tape. More than I can say about Marcus Murphy or Keith Ford. -

It is when last season he rushed for more yards than the other 5 + is a lock for the hall of fame and he's obviously trying to break all-time rushing leader records. He's less than 1000 yards away from Barry Sanders. Let him eat. -

Its pretty wild hot take, like they have Cody Ford telling us what it's like to be blocking for the RB you think is gunna be cut, makes no sense and you're looking like a bookies best friend this is true, yet I can't think of an actual reason that they would cut him either. -

nah b, they've asked every draft pick how it feels to play w/ the two current player-coach RBs. He might not play a tonne, he's gonna be here at the beginning of 2020 though. -
