It’s not our strongest position, by any means. And obviously in this scenario we’re a little on tilt, so it certainly wouldn’t be the worst pick — far from It. I just think our situation at TE and CB, especially, is rough.
-
Yeah these options are as unexciting as rd 1. Which is exactly why I expect Beane will move around as much as he’s able to maximize the value of those picks. In this scenario, where we’re not considering trades, it really comes down to value and “playing the board” (incorporating position depth/scarcity into your picks). That’s why I voted Jordan. I’d prefer we collect a bunch of “B” type players than maybe maybe one “B+“ and a bunch of “Cs”. Going purely BPA is the other way to go, and that’s probably Cox, at this point, but that doesn’t really do a lot for us from an improving the roster standpoint... Could work, but I don’t really see G as a massive need either, AND, pushing a T inside isn’t always as easy a transition as it feels like it should be... Like the player a lot (I took him in the first mock we did) but my hope is that we’re able to address a more pressing need this early...

Voted for Jordan due to position scarcity. We need help there and WRs and cbs will be there later. Agree, value-wise. I just don’t think OT is a big need for us...

Look beyond speed my man, this ain’t madden. Feet, balance, vision, durability, agility all matter.

Najee Harris isn’t worth a 3 or a 4 but you want Javian Hawkins in the 2nd???

Never been so disinterested in a draft

I’m really glad to see that people found this funny, but I was only kind of kidding. I cannot imagine myself NOT counting down the days until the draft. I genuinely feel for the guy. -

PM me. No need to derail a thread but let’s get a little more specific about it. -
Gunner's 2021 FINAL Mock Draft on PAGE 21

Harris is the best back in this class by a wide margin. I can’t tell if you’re being serious or hyperbolic, but if you’re serious you need to do more work on him. It ain’t all about speed. You got it. -
Gunner's 2021 FINAL Mock Draft on PAGE 21

The falcons have all but flat-out admitted they’re trading #4 to the highest bidder. Parsons might fall a little bit, absolutely no way he falls that far. Ditto for Najee. I can get wanting to have different takes but these are... somethin else. -

Might want to get checked out. This sounds serious... PLEASE consult a professional. Draft disinterest is no laughing matter.- 62 replies

Brown wouldn’t, arguably. WR would. College stats don’t matter even a little bit. Again, I like him. The bills would trade back for the same reason any team ever trades back? Adding more players and adding more draft picks are different things. If there’s not a standout *best* pick on the board, you can trade down to add to your ability to move around later and still get a player you like equally. Beane having never traded back does mean it can’t happen. (I also included trading up as a potentiality.)
-
I might.. not because it's a bad pick but would feel a little forced. If the draft falls like most are expecting it to I think we're a near lock to be moving up or back. In the event we move back, could certainly do a lot worse than Brown for sure.
-
was 2nd on my list had I traded down or if Browning wasn't there.
-
@VirgilI read the draft board wrong, it's actually The Colts and @mannc who are on the clock. Edited my post, but you might want to edit the title too...
-
Me too. Bosa on the outside, James coming down in the box... there's a TON you could do with that defense. Would be really fun to watch.

With attempts to move back a second time rendered futile, the pick is in! With the 53rd pick in the 2nd, 2021 TSW Mock Draft, the Los Angeles SuperChargers select Baron Browning, weapon, THE Ohio State University. The Colts @mannc are on the clock. The Chargers are no strangers to moving players around on defense to exploit mismatches, and Browning is an ideal piece to do that with. Though he doesn't necessarily fit one specific needs perfectly, his versatility will add depth and talent across all 4 LB positions, making this too good of a value to pass up.

Chargers listening to offers again if any are interested...

Agreed. I just see no sense in continually drafting middling QBs that might be something -- especially when you're trading out of a position to get one of the top guys that feel a lot more likely than "might"...
-
To me, a pick like Mond actually makes the situation worse -- it's throwing good money after bad. Unless somebody just absolutely believes in him (and for whatever reason ALSO is really out on Hurts), that's not really going to "fix" things. If anything, it's spending a 2nd round pick on a guy who's probably -- at best -- a similar player with less understanding of the offense, less chemistry with the OL/WRs/staff. While at the same time causing confidence issues with Hurts. And none of that even accounts for the opportunity cost of not being able to improve the roster elsewhere with that high 2nd rd pick.
-
Right. And they traded out of their top 10 pick to boot. They're rolling with Hurts.
-
WE HAVE A TRADE!!!!!! The Los Angeles Chargers agree to trade #47 and #118 to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for picks #53 and #100. The Tennessee Titans @bkep32 are now on the clock...
-
I have no idea, but you'd think so? Would allow them to keep him on the active roster (protect him from poaching) for a year at least...

Here's the thing about the RB class... It's pretty bad. No, it's just flat-out bad. VERY few of these guys outside of the top 3 are going to amount to much of anything in the pros. Herbert has some decent tape, but also lost out on a starting job to Pooka Williams who's one of many uninspiring RBs in this class... If you can't beat out a classmate who's pretty "meh", what are you? I do think Herbert's tape has a little interest to it, but the fact is, we're just as likely to get somebody with nearly as much potential as a UDFA as we are drafting Herbert in the 5th.
