  1. That's nowhere near enough value to move that far down with the roster we have currently...
  2. Honestly, Tariq Woolen needs to be in the discussion and probably needs to be the pick (first pick be darned). Arguably the highest upside of any player left on the board. Position of need for our roster. Position of need in the broader evolving football landscape. Unique physical talent. Right staff to get the most out of a player like this. He's who I'll be hoping we land in this situation and I HATED our double dip last year.
  3. 100% I really like him as a player in general, but specifically in GB... made too much sense!
  4. After spending the first 6 1/2 minutes of their clock going back and forth between throwing a tantrum and cursing the heavens and Doc Brown for taking Cameron Thomas just ahead of them, the Green Bay Packers finally select Drake Jackson, DE, USC. After losing significant talent on the DL, particularly in the pass rush, the Pack opts to go with Jackson who fits into their scheme seamlessly. Jackson is likely not the highest ranked edge player on many draftnik boards but this is a kid that can flat out play. The Patriots @BillfromNYC are on the clock.
  5. This is what I was going to say... If you're drafting Velus Jones as anything other than a kick returner and maybe a gadget player, you're expecting too much. BUT, he certainly could be dynamic in that role. He's not ever going to be a routinely effective WR, though, so expectations should be tempered and value and price adjusted accordingly...
  6. I thought I was the only one on Greg Dulcich, but apparently not. Think that kid has poor-man's Kittle written all over him. If he doesn't count, my other TE sleeper that absolutely does is Derrick Deese from SJSU. Guy runs routes and catches the ball like a WR but has more than enough size to be an effective blocker.
  7. When your (now ex) coach (Mario) puts all his recruiting chips in 1 QB basket (DJU) and ignores the incredible talent right down the road (Bryce Young), sadly, sometimes the answer yes.
  8. LOVE Baylor, the kid runs like an NFL back. He's older and has durability ?s but my god is he fun to watch (and that's saying this as a Duck) when he's on. Speaking of Ducks... Keep Devon Williams on your radar. 6'5, long-armed WR, former high 4* recruit, started his career at USC but transferred to Oregon. At Oregon he had arguably THE WORST QB in college FB not targeting him for 2 consecutive years. I'm not kidding or exaggerating when I say there would be entire quarters or halves of games where he wouldn't get a target and yet was consistently open, like WIDE open. As such, he doesn't have the production you would want, but in the few games that he was actually and accurately fed the ball (they were few and far in between), he dominated. He's a great athlete and a bully in jump-ball situations. Should've stayed in college, but now has a young baby and wanting to provide for his family. This is the kind of kid that could definitely be a sleeper. DEFINITELY a kid I want to see succeed.
  9. I've seen him in person twice, he's nothing special.
  10. No question he's low floor. I just think we'll be good enough, and have a good enough staff and ability to coach him up, to take that risk.
  11. With the 28th selection, the Green Bay Packers select Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn St. Our QB needs weapons, and while we selected the WR with the highest upside 6 picks ago, Dotson will give him a starting, reliable WR immediately and the closest thing this draft has to a Davante Adams (in terms of play style). The Chiefs @Logic is on the clock
  12. I don't think you'd trade either. I'd see him as a 3rd safety/hybrid LB and move Taron Johnson out to the edge -- he showed he can hold his own out there. Just spitballing, but if he really is sliding he'd be an awesome piece to add to this defense.
  13. Moss was the name that came to mind for me.
  14. Doesn't shock me, we're in no-man's land... Us meeting with Kyle Hamilton is really interesting in this regard...
  15. I wouldn't even put it that high -- my point was he's a guy I could see them trading up for.
  16. 100% they also seem to target talented guys who've dropped for whatever reason... That to me screams Booth.
  17. Meh, he's a low-ceiling player. I think you have to do better than that in the first. If we're faced with that situation in real life, I hope we trade back, improve our 2 and take Tariq Woolen and the best available WR.
  18. With the 22nd selection, the Green Bay Packers select George Pickens, WR, Georgia Reason: Most talented WR in the draft The Cardinals @aristocrat is on the clock
  19. 1,000,000% the right pick
  20. @Virgil I'm in. Packers, KC, Steelers -- I'm pretty easy.
  21. Feedback: Absolutely no way Thibs falls that far. Ditto for Willis, teams will be trading up for him -- Pickett WAY too high. More of a nit, but hard to see PHI taking a WR that they may not get much out of this year, given their track record with #1 WRs... VERY okay with the Zion pick, but feels like there's about 8 "right" picks there...
  22. This. He won't have a "position", he'll just be rushing the passer.
