I agree, If we trade for Hopkins it'll be a heavy defensive draft. Especially, if we trade Oliver. We would likely draft 1 maybe even 2 dts for our dt rotation. We need a mlb still and a DE if Vonn isn't healthy. Plus both our safeties are at the ends of their contracts. I am expecting a heavy defensive draft for sure.

I don't disagree with anything you are saying but sometimes a change in scenery is all a player needs. For example, Hughes was meh before we traded for him. I know that was more snap count usage issues but maybe that's Oliver's biggest issue as well.

Oliver is still young and at 25 is just going into his prime. Another coordinator may feel he was just type cast wrong in our defense and a change in scenery could bring the dominant dtackle everyone saw in college. He has had glimpses at times with us. Personally, I wouldn't be sad if we kept him. I feel like he plays his butt off for a big contract somewhere else in fa this year if he stays with us.

I doubt that since one of those players was such a personality off the field he was best buds with a Korean dictator.

I don;t get why people want to trade back and still expect to get Campbell. If he isn't taken in the late first he will be taken in the early second round before whatever pick we traded back into is. The biggest hurdle that was supposed to be the reason he wasn't going to go in the first round was his projected speed / 40 time which he proved isn;t an issue with his 4.65 40. Personally at this point I prefer to just take Campbell or Trenton Simpson in the first at our pick and just be happy we got a good one for years again.

You basically gave the answer yourself the reason is versatility mainly. Also, it adds an extra blocker on pass and run plays. They also can create mismatches with linebackers if athletic enough and not just a plodder blocking te. Though to be honest I don't think you need to worry about the Bills taking one before the third round honestly outside of being completely sold on Knox. Beane seems to have an obsession with taking wrs later in the draft. I feel like TES fall under that for them as well. I am thoroughly convinced our first two or three picks will be defense. Especially since he has essentially stated already he feels we have our wr2 in Gabe Davis.

I;d rather they pick up a rb in free agency than the draft and waste the pick. We seem to find studs for the defense in the late rounds lets keep that going so we can stack the offense in free agency.

Probably the one giving him the intel about the signing in exchange for that.

Yup, they all just talk in hypotheticals before the tampering period. By saying things like what do you expect your client to want, or hypothetically if we offered such and such money would your client be interested come free agency. By now I bet most the big name free agents already got their teams lined up outside of the few that want to make visits first.

Probably earlier than they would have since Basham was higher on their board than other De's available that they felt they could get later on. That said I hope he wasn't a true bpa pick to the Bills at that point. If so then we have a huge scouting problem. I threw things when we chose Basham over several other prospects at that point. Though I admit a few of those guys I would of preferred at that time have been non existant and terrible as well. Poor draft that year imo but one of the top guys I wanted at that time who I feel should of been a no brainer top bpa pick was Creed Humprey.

I want BPA, I don't care if it is offense or Defense. At pick 28 you shouldn't pigeon hole into a position. Outside of qb or obvious positions you don't pick in the 1st like punter every position should be in play. If you pigeon your hole choices that is how you wind up making decisions like taking Boogie Basham over Creed Humphrey back in 2021. Just give me bpa after plugging our blatant holes in free agency before hand with cheap solid to average veterans.

Ravens won't trade Lamar imo unless Lamar holds out into preseason and they are offered a fortune in picks similar to what the Browns spent on Watson.

The revamped dt position and dline as a whole help Frazier game plan for Henry. Run D was our biggest issue last year and it looks like it may be a strength this year.
