  1. Probably cry Kaepernick... I don’t condone it, I’m jus sayin, be ready for it https://theundefeated.com/features/the-white-privilege-of-chad-kelly/amp/
  2. They are both in the last year of their contract, why not? Some are over valuing Clowney’s trade value. He can’t reach a new deal with any team that trades for him, they aren’t getting a 1st or 2nd for him... I would offer Shady and a 4th... or they can just sit there and waste a season with 1 decent rb and a franchised DE who just holds out and won’t re-sign.
  3. People seem so shocked that Zay could be the man out (he may not be, but hardly a lock to make it), as if 2nd round picks don’t bust all the time. Look back to the 2008 draft. Everybody was projecting Devin Thomas to Buffalo in the 1st, Buffalo took McKelvin. The 2nd round was littered with busts- Devin Thomas, James Hardy (RIP), Limas Sweed, Malcom Kelly all busts who were all highly touted. Two great WRs were selected in that round as well in the form of Jordy Nelson and Desean Jackson, but the bust % is very high on early round WRs.
  4. Allen’s going to make those forced mistakes from time to time... The key is trying to limit them right now. I just like to think of them as more “Favre-Esque” than “Fitz-ish.” Because like Favre he will eventually make enough great plays that they kinda cancel out the mistakes that come with being a “gun slinger”... Tonight was a bad one, I believe Josh won’t let himself forget that he can’t do that *****, and he will learn from it... He will learn, I just think it’s hard when you are THAT physically gifted, to concede the play to the defense and move on to the next, but he’ll get it.
  5. I mean, the only other QBs comparable in physical abilities and attributes in the league right now are Mahomes and Newton. Combine those attributes and an obvious above average aptitude for the game (his progression in diagnosing opposing defenses presnap is already noticeable), and overal above average IQ (37 wondelic), he’s got all the tools to be the best the game has ever seen, it’s a question of can he maximize all of those tools and realize his maximum potential? Will he be the GOAT? Odds aren’t likely. Mahomes certainly has a better shot, right now. But Josh certainly has the tools to be the best, if it all clicks in just the right way...
  6. His consistency has definitely been a pleasant surprise. He wouldn’t be the first QB who takes time to really develop, took Alex Smith forever to become a legit starter, and I could see Barkley having Alex Smith upside. That being said, Josh has like, “goat” upside if it all comes together for him. But peak Alex Smith wouldn’t be terrible if Josh went all Bortles in his development...
  7. Yeah, he brings too much to the table that no other Bills WR currently does, I can’t see them cutting Duke at this point. They need his size, physicality and ability to win jump balls.
  8. Mosley isn’t very good in coverage and they lost Avery Williamson. Brandon Copeland just got suspended 4 games. Their CBs aren’t as good or as deep. Adams is fine, But they don’t have a tandem like Hyde and Poyer who are both in their primes and familiar with each other and the scheme. I see no holes on Buffalo’s Defense and think Edmunds will take the step towards being elite for years to come. They are also without Herndon for the first 4 weeks which will hurt them. The only place I give them a slight edge is at WR, but not by a whole lot, the Bills DBs shouldnt have much issue shutting them down. Obviously Bell is an elite back, but their OL is a big question mark, where Buffalo has good depth at RB, keeping fresh legs behind a bolstered OL. The head coach issue is a pretty big deal. Darnold could be pretty good... but that won’t negate bad coaching enough to mean anything unless he is out of this world. Even then many times has a great QB like Phillip Rivers been on the outside looking in at the post season, despite being elite? Or above average QBs like Stafford? And who’s to say this Josh Allen kid doesn’t turn out to be some special??? The odds are the same for each QB. Plus new coach, new scheme, lots of new faces combined with all the injuries and suspensions is hardly a recipe for success. While Buffalo does have a good amount of new players, it’s year 3 of “the process” and players who have been around the last year or two should be much more comfortable schematically, and cut down on mental errors like missed assignments and stupid penalties. My main concern for Buffalo right now is both phases of the kicking game. We don’t want to deal with what Chicago did last season.
  9. I’m sure it is, I’m just referring to the industry over here. Aside from over saturation of the market, I think the casino struggles are directly related to the way the government crackdown dropped an atomic bomb on the poker boom. The plan was to regulate state by state, but bureaucracy does what bureaucracy does, (drags it’s arse), and barely any states pass legislation. The ones that do legalize online poker have such a small player pool to choose from that they all under perform (unrealistic) expectations, because the Einstein’s running the show didn’t take into account that Pokerstars was a global player pool vs a bunch of degenerates in New Jersey and Nevada...
  10. I agree, atleast on the offensive side, there are many parallels. On Defense I just have Buffalo on a different level that the Jets. Aside from giving Buffalo the edge defensively, I also think Gase was a poor hire and a bad head coach, where as I see McDermott as above average and has the team on the right trajectory.
  11. It’s what the states get for being greedy. Idiots/Feds banned legit online poker sites like Pokerstars, and effectively killed the “poker boom”. Now poker rooms have closed across the country, and while they were never a cash cow themselves for casinos, it got a lot of people in the doors. People played online and wanted to go experience “the real thing”, the rush of shoving there chips in the pot. Tycoons like senile Sheldon Adelson slaughtered the golden goose thinking it was taking money from brick and mortars without realizing that accessibility to the product was the driving force to get people in their doors.
  12. Yes, as long as they can unload Shady’s deal in the process. I typically advocate drafting an RB where they took Singletary and avoid spending on the RB position. That said, Zeke is a freak, at his peak; Buffalo has more than enough cap without a plethora of expiring contracts coming up. Extend Zeke for 4-5 years, front load it, that way when it comes time to extend White, there will be no issues and he will be off the books or close to it when Allen and Edmunds are due. I would also pull the trigger on a Clowney trade for the same reasons (and would cost less draft equity), I welcome either (or both, obviously won’t happen). This team is extremely solid, an elite player or two could really take them to a whole nutha level.
  13. KC NE Dallas LA LA Saints Colts Eagles Vikings Those are the teams I think are most likely to have better records by the end of the year teams likely on par with Buffalo- Falcons Browns Ravens Panthers Bears Texans Titans Seahawks Packers Steelers Raiders Lions Jags Teams they are almost definitely better than- Fins Jets Bengals Cards Niners Redskins Giants Bucs Broncos This was a 6 win team last year, while they definitely have the potential to surprise a lot of people, it’s an up hill battle still for sure... people are getting carried away with their expectations because there has been progress with the process, but’s it’s still mid-process.
  14. I would trade Elliot to Buffalo for McCoy and a 1st(preferably a 2nd and 4th, but it will be a SUPER late first). Some will be mad at first but then remember the Bills have a ton of cap space and when it comes time to extend Allen and Edmunds, Zeke will be off the books and the Bills will have a couple Lombardi’s... plus with this looming lockout talk, win now
  15. How “guaranteed” is guaranteed money if the guy never takes a single snap in a Bills uniform? Just curious, obviously hoping the guy comes back and returns to All Pro form. But let’s be real here, these interior lineman maul each other, and it’s only a matter of when, not IF, he suffers another one. So, worse case scenario, hypothetically he’s deemed too much of a liability to put on the field, is there generally some injury settlement in extreme circumstances such as this, or would Buffalo be on the hook for the full guarantee?
  16. All the starters... seriously. Anybody who is cemented as a starter, screw the rest of the preseason. Clearly they are practicing well, they have looked more ready/prepared and in sync than both the Colts and Panthers. Put these guys on the pine for the next two, let some guys in position battles continue to play. Replace Jackson with a QB that perhaps Daboll is familiar with so they can actually evaluate some WRs down the depth chart, and just get ready for New Jersey.
  17. Hardly a “top player on their roster” Over valuing a guy with his drop rate and pedestrian production is “the most hilarious thing I’ve ever seen”(which it’s honestly not, but since we’re going to really overstate our case here, you must not watch many funny things).
  18. I am not saying Sills is anything special, but as I mentioned elsewhere, it’s kinda hard to evaluate any WRs who are primarily on the “receiving end” of passes from Jackson... Im starting to think the reason he’s the first one on the field everyday at camp is to help move the hospitality tent a safe distance from the practice area.
  19. It’s cool that they’re giving (gave) Tyree a chance, but by keeping him on this roster it’s almost impossible to evaluate what else they might have further down the depth chart at WR.
  20. True... except when it comes to pedophilia. In that case grab a slingshot and find the the biggest rocks you can shoot...
  21. I am not making light of anything, I’m just wondering if this had anything to do with his mental health issues he experienced just because there have been some studies done over the last few years linking lasik to psychosis. http://vivo.med.cornell.edu/display/pubid84995768034 https://www.healio.com/ophthalmology/cornea-external-disease/news/print/ocular-surgery-news/{4e39c27a-f999-4200-9c51-e3b01266a90b}/dry-eye-depression-and-lasik-serious-thoughts-about-a-serious-issue https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/27835728/
  22. I dunno about “people”, but I sure as ***** was... Yeah I forgot, WRs who fail top total 1000 yards in two seasons combined, while serving as the top WR option are totally untouchable... cutting a WR who has completely failed to live up to his potential would be unfathomable in the league, totally unprecedented!!! Especially when they have trouble with their primary responsibility, ya know, actually catching the football...
  23. Well the WR position is still far from deep. Foster, you know he’s not going to catch everything, but he breaks those big plays so you deal with it and just hope he continues to improve. Brown and Beasley are both proven commodities. After that who knows, it is possible Zay makes the team due to overall lack of talent at the position but I could also see Cam Phillips taking his spot. Phillips routinely stands out throughout camp and made his time on the field count Thursday. Still two more meaningful preseason games, but I think the WR group on the final 53 could definitely be Brown, Beasley, Foster, Phillips, Roberts, McCloud/McKenzie.
