  1. If this defense plays solid fundamental football, I just don’t see a path to victory for the Ravens. They are incredibly one dimensional right now without Flowers healthy, and the bitter cold is only going to magnify his loss when you’re relying on Lamar to just make something happen in the pass game.
  2. Semi-pro soccer? Is that a new Will Ferrell movie coming out?
  3. Nah, I pretty much fully faded him in playoff bestball, it’s just crazy to me how he went from Super Bowl MVP to a complete non-factor so quickly.
  4. Cooper Kupp still doing the best John Cena impersonation I’ve ever seen… or not seen?
  5. Well Darnold saved the Vikings quite a bit of money with these last two games… moving on to JJ is a no brainer, you’re clearly not winning anything of any significance with Sam under center.
  6. I have to say though, even if this team escape the clutches of the seventh seed with a W, who’s feeling at all confident about Baltimore next week? It’s hard to fathom they just won’t bully this soft defense up and down the field…
  7. Somebody needs to ask Beane why he refused to sign any of the very affordable quality safeties that were just sitting on the shelf collecting dust during this last free agency. You lose the glue of your defense, and you replace it with sticky tack?
  8. McDefense strong suit was making inexperienced QBs struggle. McDumbarse should’ve taken the play calling from Babbich, ridiculous to risk the season just bc you want to be a stand up guy to some nobody DC. The guy sucks.
  9. A little unreasonable to expect you’re going to string together a 30 play drive… needed a big chunk gain in there that never came, unfortunately. Solid defense by Denver. Hopefully they’ve just done a good job of beating the Denver defense down in the first half, and we get some more explosive plays in the second.
  10. I thought Hyde was coming back? I feel like he just would’ve been in the right place at the right time to pick that…
  11. I walked out of the room on 3rd down, and the defense got a stop… I will now have to do so for the duration of the game, bc it clearly was a difference maker…
  12. Looks like a potentially nasty stinger for TJ the way his neck got jammed up on that hit, hope he’s ok if we can get out of this round…
  13. A mistake to not use Josh’s legs at any point in the redzone… This game has no business being close. But then again, the Rams clearly had no business hanging 40+ on this team as evident by every game they played after that…
  14. Oh good, soft McDefense in full force… if they somehow lose he’s gone, right?
  15. Say it a few more times if it will make you feel better, doesn’t make you anymore right. Lamar took the top team in the Conference from last year, added Derrick Henry and ended up the 3 seed. Josh took a team everybody said was going to take a big step back, “had no weapons”, and “the window had closed on them”, to 13 wins, easily could’ve been 14, with Ws over BOTH 1 seeds, and finished once again with as the 2 seed. Both offenses scored exactly 65 touchdowns. Josh is going to get penalized for letting Cook eat a little bit this year? Nah. I don’t think so. One way or another Josh was responsible for orchestrating all those TD drives, and while Cook is a nice piece, nobody is Derrick Henry. Simply put, as great a season Lamar had, he added the King, and the Ravens still took a step back in the regular season compared to last year. They fell short of expectations whereas Josh and the Bills exceeded them by every measure. As for last season, the picks were wayyyy overblown. Context is key, a good % of Josh’s picks were simply him chucking it up on 3rd & forever, which situationally was basically the same as a punt. The picks shouldn’t have over shadowed his Herculean effort down the stretch last season to get the team from on the fringe of the post season all the way up to the 2 seed.
  16. I don’t get the MVP criteria personally. I see articles now saying Lamar is likely to win bc he was named 1st team All Pro. So last year, Allen has the bigger offensive numbers, but Lamar has the team wins, so Lamar gets MVP with pedestrian stats (by MVP standards) This year, Allen gets the wins with a team many were picking to not even win their own division bc “the window was closed” and “rebuilding”, cuts down the INTs, leads the team to 13 wins, but Lamar with an extra game he NEEDED to play, in a year you could argue the Ravens fell short of regular season expectations, regardless he’s STILL MVP??? “Voters” need to pick a lane. It can’t be team wins matter one year, then the next it’s irrelevant essentially and you’re going to give the MVP to a player on the 3 seed who needed a week 18 win to close out their division...
  17. I would’ve said the same thing about the Bucs but here we are down two scores… Huntley, an anemic run game, and banged up WRs hardly inspires optimism. Chiefs Broncos for some reason I have this eerie feeling it goes the same way as that “classic” 2005 Steelers Bills matchups where the 14-1 Steelers beat a 9-6 Bills team with their backups in a game the Bills just needed to win and they’re in…
  18. They have to stop rewarding the NFC south with home playoff games, just because 4 bad teams happen to play each other twice a year doesn’t mean a 14 twin team should have to go on the road… I mean Saints shouldn’t even be competitive in this one, all of their skill players starting today are basically XFLers.
  19. Anybody else got a bad feeling we’re going to see Black and Orange in Orchard Park next week?
  20. If I’m an NFL GM in need of a QB, and on the outside looking in at the top 5 in the draft, I’d be making a deal for Milton. Obviously he hasn’t been game planned for, but the tools are impressive to say the least… Pats could very well have lucked into a RG3/Cousins situation.
  21. Bills Broncos will be extremely one sided if we luck into that draw. I’m not the biggest McDefense fan, but one thing it typically does is create headaches for inexperienced QBs. Denver doesn’t have the run game to expose the Bills weak run defense, and their only legitimate, consistent offensive threat is Courtland Sutton, who is a nice piece to an offense, but he’s no game changer. Bills win by three scores.
