I get it, but at this point it doesn’t even matter… this team has quit on each other bc they have a coach with zero accountability, throwing everybody else under the bus as soon as things get muddy and it’s actually time for him to get his Ted Lasso on, rather than just relying on his coordinators to make him look good.

Trying to be rational here... bUT Coach has so clearly lost this team, I don’t know how you come back from that… It’s painfully obvious that this is not a good football team, or even worse they are good from a talent perspective and McDermott is already at that “Adam Gase point of no return” somehow? Nevermind that Beane/McD collectively have missed on almost everything not named Josh Allen. Yes Tre went down and he’s an All Pro level CB, but good teams overcome injuries that aren’t to their star QB’s. This team has routinely imploded against anything resembling a good football team; the harsh reality is that Super Bowl window has slammed shut with the current iteration of this team. My guess is McDermott gets a pass no matter how bad this team continues to deficate the bed, and will pass the buck onto his coordinators, he’s already been chucking people under the tires of this flaming garbage pile the past few weeks, laying the foundation to eschew responsibility and buy himself atleast one more season. If you were the Pegulas do you stay the course knowing full well this guy doesn’t have what it takes to win a Super Bowl, or do you go find an offensive minded wunderkind of a coach to pair with your elite QB? One thing is absolutely certain, Sean McDermott will NEVER coach a a team to a Super Bowl win, so why delay the inevitable? Dude is Marvin Lewis through and through, never win anything worth a damn, but enough to keep you hoping they might maybe turn that corner. I feel a little better now…

they won with 14 points... yeah stunning... McDermott is officially on the hot seat next season after the way this team continues to ***** the bed against good teams. Disgusting honestly.

Mac Jones is just Trent Edwards before Trent Edwards met Adrian Wilson... Pats can feel however they want, you guys are just that "gritty" team that at the end of the day is never a real threat to win the Lombardi so who cares? You need a special QB for sustained success in this league... Mac Jones ceiling is *maybe* Ryan Tannehill.

Karlos Williams is still only 28... It's an outside the box idea, McDermott is exactly the type of coach he'd need. I mean Devonta Freeman is good again after looking totally washed on 3 teams, Karlos looked like he could've been something special for a moment there. I'm not saying this is "the fix", I'm just saying maybe kick the tires, bring him in for tryout, see if he's put his issues behind him. Everybody deserves a second chance.

Week 12: Bills at Saints on Thanksgiving
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kinda puzzling how stuff like this is still happening 4 years on, and how much FA $$$ and top draft picks invested into the DL? Two 1sts, Two 2nds in the last 3 years and money wasted on on FA acquisitions. Unacceptable that 4 years later, ONE guy being out on the DL and they get abused like this. Saints don't even need Kamara, Ingram will run all over this marshmallowy soft defense. -
Wyatt Teller is as tough as they come, he was traded for next to nothing and then they draft the ever so "plush" Cody Ford rather than grabbing DK or AJ Brown, both of which were also big time needs. Hindsight is 20/20 obviously, but with all that's been invested on both fronts between FA, draft capital and extensions, the results are downright abhorrent. Outside of Josh, what has Beane gotten really right, Diggs, and Taron Johnson and Beasely? Coaching staff was in place before he got here.

Oliver, Epenesa, Rousseau, Basham, and FA additions of Addison, and Butler.... It's inexcusable that this is the result when one player goes down on that unit, who wasn't here all of last year to begin with, yet relied upon so heavily with clearly no depth behind him. He's built his entire reputation on Josh. McDermott was here before he got here... Put Josh last couple seasons on those Whaley teams and they are no doubt competing for the division year in year out, just EJ didn't pan out. Yet Beane trades away Wyatt Teller, then Drafts Cody Ford passing on DK and AJ Brown in the process. -

Hot Take- Doug Whaley was a better GM who's project QB didn't pan out. Waste a 9th pick on Oliver to get run into the ground, and all the other draft capital that's gone into the DL?! FOH. -
Jamison Crowder is a UFA next year, at 28 yrs old and a proven veteran, extremely effective slot WR, I could see him being a logical target/replacement. Unfortunately Beas is at the tail end of his shelf life. Or perhaps a one year deal depending on how he finishes the year, then make a play for Renfrow who will be a UFA the following season. That being said, Beane probably gives him 3 year extension or something, I mean he did bring in Frank Gore when RBs basically grow on trees.

Henry out for the year, Julio never healthy and their only legit threat on offense is Brown, who also seems to be on the injury report every week himself. This Titans team is on a good little run, but they are far from a juggernaut. Lots of football left to be played still, they are dropping a couple along the way, especially with how weird the NFL has been this year as far as good teams laying eggs every week.

NFL Officiating is an abomination for a 18B product
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall
NFL franchises are valued at record highs. Advertising revenues are a non stop gravy train for these NFL owners. God forbid they pay a dime for anything like quality full time officiating, or the venues in which their teams play and they generate all of said revenue... -
I've thought about this as well, especially after the Titans loss. This team doesn't feel as hungry as last year, and that's crazy to me bc as far as I'm concerned, sure last year was fun but they haven't accomplished anything to really hang their cap on yet. Unfortunately I don't feel this game is at all like the "Hail Murray" situation last year, there is nothing positive to be taken from this loss... it didn't take Jacksonville's best shot to beat this Bills team, it didn't even require the Jags crossing the goal line for Pete's sake. I don't know how a team goes from the #1 scoring offense in the NFL to getting embarrassed by Urban Meyer and the injury plagued Jaguars. Even if it's a case of believing their own hype, which I definitely think Is part of the problem, at half time you'd assume that's all out the window. You'd assume that the idea of getting held TD-less against the f'n Jags would snap the sleeping giant into form during that intermission... How is the #1 scoring offense, with leading candidate for MVP, not able to make the necessary adjustments to get in the end zone in the second half even ONCE, against the untouchables of the NFL???? The lowly and decrepit Jacksonville Jaguars just embarrassed a quarter billion dollar QB, and his team most assumed would have a legitimate shot at representing the AFC in the Super Bowl. However I don't think they come back from this. They'll win enough games to get into the playoffs, but nothing special is happening this season.
