  1. Agree that Hopkins got the better of Tre in the second half, but still not a ton of yards and no TD’s in nearly three quarters of play after halftime. Hopkins is one of the top two or three WR’s in the league without question so no real shame there IMO. At least Tre didn’t get twisted around and smoked for a long TD like Brown did to that supposed best CB in the league in NE a couple weeks ago!?
  2. Whole heartedly agree with all your points. Excellent end of season summary.
  3. Just imagine what it could have been with real announcers for the game instead of that abc/ESPN crew. Booger McFarland is the worst and he just never shuts up!
  4. Excellent overview Shaw as usual. I couldn’t agree more, especially about the second half opening kickoff. That referee needed to stick to his guns and let his original call stand because it was the right call per the rules. The receiver never made any fair catch signal, nor did he take a knee which he should do if they ball does not go out of the end zone. I’m certain there have been more than one similar situations during the regular season where this action was ignored and treated like a touchback, but it’s not correct and this would have been the right place to set this act straight. With all the changes the League has made to pretty much take the kick return out of the game they need to enforce the proper procedures for the decision to not return the kick, period! The other point no one seems to be talking about was the Texans coach’s decision to not kick the field goal late in the fourth quarter which would have given them a six point lead and forced the Bills to score a touchdown to tie or win the game. This decision ultimately gave the Bills the chance to tie the game. I thought we were very fortunate there for that brain fart despite what that blabber mouth Booger said about being the correct decision to go for the first down.
  5. Awesome baby!!! Thanks just made my day?.
  6. Yes, I loved that Edelman play as well. All I could think of when he was lying there on the ground was that seen from A Christmas Story where in that altercation in the alley the younger brother is just lying on the ground and they say “ he just laid there on the ground like a slug, it was his only defense”, LOL?
  7. The defense lost this game, period. No way that Pat’s offense should put 24 points on the board, especially when the offense didn’t turn the ball over and give them any seriously short fields. Poor tackling was a big factor for sure. The defense has always told the offense get us 17points and we will do the rest. Well, not today. Still all in all a really good playoff type game. surely nothing to hang their heads about.
  8. Good stuff, hope you really enjoy your trip! My wife and I are off to the Boston area ourselves for Christmas, but won’t be leaving until Sunday. I too will be all decked out in my Bills gear. Win or lose tomorrow it will be great to be in that area and sporting Bills garb. Both of our daughters live in the Boston area and married guys from there so of course they are Pats fans. Luckily both daughters are avid Bills fans having grown up in Syracuse. Always fun when the family gets together and the football trash talking amps up. Gonna be different this year I am sure. I fully expect a Bills win tomorrow and can’t wait to hear all the crying from the Pats fans!
  9. Just awesome! Thanks for sharing. If you are a Bills fan and didn’t get pumped by watching that you must be brain dead with no hope for you! Go Bills!
  10. Not surprising stats to me. That’s why the other day I replied to a “ Predict the Score” thread with a 17-9 Bills score and predicted the Pats offense won’t find the end zone this Saturday. Lately they have been scoring on D and ST. Stay away from letting them do that and 17 points will be more than enough!
  11. Good info thanks. Totally agree on how so many in the media are still down on Josh. They should read your post and get educated I think!
  12. To me the difference in the game was one blown coverage by the Bills secondary on that throw to Hurst early in the second half. JA definitely did not have his best performance out there yesterday, but surely neither did Jackson. To me except for that one play the two teams played to a standstill. Both defenses were outstanding, both running games sparked a few times, but could not sustain much because of the defenses were too good and possibly our OC’s decision to go away from the run too quickly. Just one of those games where you hate to be the team that falls a little short when the final gun goes off IMO. Both teams showed they are playoff caliber clubs. The Bills obviously need one more win to make that official, but that should come on Sunday night in Pittsburgh. Personally, I would not want to be the Steelers right now because I believe the Bills to a person know they let a big one slip away yesterday and they are going to come out of that tunnel at Heinz Field breathing fire! Hopefully we will get to see these Ravens again in the playoffs and the outcome will be more to our liking. Go Bills!
  13. Thanks for another excellent post. I so enjoy reading your eloquent writing. You are the best! Hope we have a lot more good games and exciting times for you to continue to expound on. Thanks again.
  14. Gonna flip between Brown/Steelers and Ravens/49’ers at I, then Chargers/Broncos at 4 (fantasy league interest) and finally root for the Texans to vanquish the Patsies!
  15. 4-0 baby, no doubt about it! Just need a little help from Houston or KC and we win the division ?. Either that or we are a 13-3 WC which would be a damn shame.
  16. Excellent post as usual Shaw. 10 days to prepare and get psyched for the Ravens coming to town ?. If they all keep getting better every day/week as they preach they are going to be a very tough out the rest of the way. Go Bills!!
  17. Happy Thanksgiving to all and safe travels to all those on the road this weekend! God Bless and Go Bills.
  18. Boy, I really hope not, but you are correct about one thing. It sure seems like every time the Patriots play a decent team in a pivotal game their opponent always seems to self destruct. They beat us on a blocked punt for a TD and yesterday against the Cowboys again they blocked a punt that led to their only scoring drive, a whole 12 yards worth which was the only TD by either team. They sure seem to have won a number of games this year by not really doing much themselves just sitting back and waiting for the other team to beat themselves.
  19. Truly excellent post. Nearly brought a tear to my eyes. We really do have a lot to be thankful for as citizens of this great country defended over the years and to date by so many brave and proud men and women. Truly blessed we are and now for the icing on the cake or pie we have a young up and coming football team that should give us all many good memories to talk about at the Holidays and other family gatherings for years to come. GO BILLS !
  20. One can only hope!? Sure would make 2020 pretty special.
  21. Sure would be great if this scenario would play out, but like the OP acknowledges highly unlikely. Everyone keeps commenting that the Browns game really hurt us and I can’t really disagree, but it could also have been a blessing in disguise. Following that dismal effort McD came out with the need to play “fearless” edict and the results last Sunday were very encouraging. I know everyone can say you need to consider the opponent, but the change in overall team intensity both on offense and defense (let’s forget about ST for now) was undeniable. Hopefully this can be carried forward from here and lead to some wins in games most have been considering sure losses for some time now. If we had eeked out a win over the Browns maybe this new philosophy would not have come to be and the team would have continued with the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it mentality”. This most likely would have led to the Bills losing more games than winning down the stretch. One can only hope anyways!
  22. Great points Shaw as usual. I could almost agree with your wife’s opinion noted in #7. Been to the Harp several times as my daughters live in the Boston area. Always had a great time there!
  23. Definitely prefer this look to the all white.
