  1. I agree, that’s how employment works, but I was commenting more on the court of public opinion. I’m making the point that we never know with certainty what occurs at places we aren’t present. Yet fans like to give athletes the benefit of doubt. If he were a random dude, and that story makes the newspaper, everyone would agree he’s a terrible person, even if it’s not true. Athletes always have a choir of defenders.
  2. Interesting how DeShaun Watson wasn’t charged with a single crime, yet some Bills fans want the legal system to play out before dumping Araiza. We’re unanimously against Watson, yet these allegations are far more disgusting, but I guess he’s our guy to some.
  3. Agree, if a pro athlete can’t handle external pressure, they’re in the wrong profession. I emphasize external pressure, because I can understand how the pressure an athlete places on himself could be troublesome. I’ve always assumed that pro athletes enjoy the adulation of fans, but doubt they take fans very seriously. If the pressure of social media posts, sports radio callers, and assorted random dudes is too much, the athlete has bigger issues. Fans are crucial to the existence of pro sports, but ultimately athletes play for themselves and teammates. These guys have accomplished a lot with their lives, they aren’t playing for Bill in Tonawanda. I’m not saying they don’t appreciate fans, sharing the joy of sports with them, but I don’t know if they are truly concerned with disappointing us.
  4. The next team to sign him shouldn’t give him a huge contract, but there’s a big difference between Matt Stafford and Daniel Jones. Golladay hasn’t impressed, but the Giants are a disaster.
  5. True, but it looks the demand is far greater in Buffalo on the secondary market. I checked out Rams tickets on stubhub, with the exception of the opener and a few teams with strong LA fanbases, you can get in the door cheaper than Buffalo on average this season.
  6. I really like what I saw from our offense and the defense on their second drive. I’ll probably slowly lose interest at this point. I saw what I wanted.
  7. “Illegal contact is a huge point of emphasis”. Just what we need.
  8. Actually didn’t, but he needs to clean up his tackling too.
  9. Like the quick passing game on that drive. Good to see Gabe Davis pick up where he left off as well.
  10. Complete with Edmunds missing tackles, and D line unable to generate pressure. It’s an irrelevant preseason game. You just hope to see improvements to those areas from last season, although our D was highly ranked. We’ll be fine, I’m just looking for improvement from certain guys.
  11. Agree, this board likes trying to determine which demographic will pay these prices, but I think you’re spot on. It’s simply people who are willing to pay the price. Some of them will have the income, others won’t, but it’s a matter of being willing to spend a ton. Vacation resorts are full of people who don’t actually have the money to be there. I’m sure a football stadium might be no different. I’m with you, not in either category, it is what is. There’s still plenty of great events to attend at a decent cost.
  12. I agree, it’s not politics at all. I just pointed that out because there’s always one person who feels the need to lecture others on capitalism. I understand capitalism, but I also understand a scam. The ticketing world has becoming quite the scam. Ultimately it’s simple enough for me. I’ll go to events that I consider priced fairly, and just skip anything that seems absurd.
  13. Yeah, I don’t want to get into the “politics” of ticket prices, but I’ve seen a lot of weird things with pricing over the past year. The demand for Bills tickets is obviously high, as fans expect a title, but the pricing increase is in line with what we’re seeing in the world of ticketing. The resale market in particular has gone to the model of asking astronomical prices, just hoping someone bites. I used to buy last minute tickets on the secondary market, now I’m seeing hundreds of unsold tickets with crazy asking prices minutes before events. Apparently they simply sell what they can, and take a loss on others, unwilling to drop the price in some cases. A natural supply and demand model should lower those prices as the event approaches, when a large quantity still exists.
  14. I always liked him in Dallas. He had potential to become a premier slot receiver in the right offense. Bease turned out to be a huge part of our turnaround. I agree, it’s a shame how things ended, but I don’t think he has much left in the tank. That’s probably the biggest reason no one has signed him yet. He’s in his 30’s, and dealt with injuries that could be detrimental to a guy with such a small stature who relies on his route running.
  15. That’s fair, but I wouldn’t love the idea of living in a 7K sq. feet home surrounded by property that looks undeveloped. I’m sure he viewed it as a short term home, but why own a 7K sq. feet home with a value of well over a million if you’re not willing to put anything into it? I’m not judging the choice in any way, just looking at it through my prospective. I’m going to put effort into a home, regardless of how long I expect to be there. If I didn’t want to do so, I’d buy something smaller or rent.
  16. Good point, I am disappointed it doesn’t have a recording studio. You’d think a rapper would have that sort of thing.
  17. Beautiful house, the yard is in desperate need of some landscaping and added touches.
  18. That’s what I think many suspect at this point. It all seems a bit strange, but Brady has always been different. You’d think Brady’s “retirement” would have given him enough time to work it out. That’s why I’d find personal issues an interesting reason to leave. I think it’s more likely he’s second guessing his chance at success with the 2022 Bucs.
  19. The NFC is wide open, but Sean McVay is a great coach. It took me a while to recognize it, but the guy is really good. The Rams won a ton of games with Jared Goff as their starter. That tells me all I need to know about McVay’s coaching ability. I think he’s what separates the Rams from the pack.
  20. That’s very true, The guy is the GOAT, but that doesn’t mean some of the stuff he does isn’t shady. I’ve always found it interesting how no one calls him out on his stuff. This Miami tampering issue would be a huge deal with anyone else, but once again, another free pass. He’s the greatest, but that doesn’t everything should be a free pass.
  21. I’d love to see the media reaction to a missing in action QB if his name wasn’t Brady.
  22. We’re in trouble without Allen regardless. Barkley can play backup, we should see if anyone is dumb enough to give up something for Keenum.
  23. Barkley certainly doesn’t have much arm strength, but the guy really seems to understand the game.
  24. Gentry has all the makings of becoming a preseason legend.
  25. Fumble Jesus
