  1. I hope you’re wrong about us beating the Pats, but if the Colts win it does continue the trend of us having nine lives this season. Anything less than the AFC East title would be incredibly frustrating when given so many opportunities.
  2. Guys like Taylor and Henry are making me rethink the idea that first round backs are a wasted pick. There seemed to be a time that was true, but the tide has turned.
  3. Honestly one of the strangest ugly injuries I’ve seen from a guy just diving for the ball. My first reaction was to criticize him for not making the catch, after realizing what happened we can only hope he makes a quick recovery.
  4. This game is gross, the Chiefs are everything we were supposed to be at this point in the season, yet we beat them.
  5. The lord himself could run a business to perfection, and there’d still be one star reviews. My unscientific observation says that about 1 out of every 5 people are impossible to please and/or crazy. Anyone who ever worked with the public will tell you about people who perceive insults and poor service that didn’t even occur. I don’t think the average person really understands how many functioning crazies exist.
  6. I’ve been a huge “McBeane” supporter from the beginning. We needed someone to clean up this franchise. They built a much needed culture, freeing this franchise of the negative vibe that existed at OBD. None of that should give coaching a free pass in 2021. Allen might be the best QB in the league right now. You don’t go 7-6, and 0-5 in one score games with the best QB in the league. The Chiefs started slowly, but are starting to figure things out, and every other team with a high level QB is successful. I haven’t given up on McDermott, but all these excuses can’t continue to be valid for years to come.
  7. I’m sure that weekend will turn out great for players behaving themselves. I know, you can find trouble anywhere, but the reputation and allure of Vegas will entice many to act foolishly.
  8. I think much of it comes down to bad red zone play calling, and poor decisions in clutch moments.
  9. Has Phillips ever gotten a sack without grabbing the facemask ?
  10. I don’t understand the Cards all out blitzing the veteran Stafford in these situations.
  11. Great physicality shown by the Cards back and receivers that drive.
  12. I hate watching games in Arizona. There’s something about Cards games that seem like the most sterile environment in the league, and it even comes across on tv.
  13. I agree, but I think it’s the o line that makes all the difference. It’s fair to point out our o line failure, but I think it’s a lie to say we throw too much to win. Tampa’s line is the difference. I think Fournette is slow and washed up already, and not much better than our backs, but the Bucs can actually block.
  14. That’s probably true, but there’s a difference between injuries and wear and tear. QB’s get a lot of wear and tear from running. The most vicious hits take place in the pocket, but running adds another element of danger. There’s a reason backs have such short careers. Most running QB’s have burned out early as well.
  15. I see the comparison, as we have our QB in place. Allen makes you feel really good about the future, but I think the comparison stops there. I’m not writing off the future by any means, but we have too many holes on the roster. The 89 Bills didn’t lack the talent this team does. The offensive line needs a complete overhaul, we have no running back, and we need a defensive playmaker. That can be fixed, but it seems like we’re in a different spot. I would have a much different opinion if you asked me the same question last season.
  16. Also in hindsight, there’s nothing about our play in crunch time this season to make me believe we’d have won that game in OT. We don’t play very loose or relaxed in those spots.
  17. I think his last two games have been alright, but the red zone and short yardage play calling has been abysmal. I have no faith in this teams ability to win games, and that’s a big reason.
  18. Yeah, I didn’t know we’d sneak back in the game when down 24-3, so called Allen runs really drove me crazy at that point. I’m not sure if most fans understand how much of a unnecessary beating Josh is taking. It’s ridiculous for a guy with an elite arm. Diggs effort has looked subpar the past few games. I’ve seen injury suggested, which is possible. I just hope this isn’t like Minnesota where he shuts down a bit when things aren’t going according to plan.
  19. I absolutely agree, I’ve just seen him throw his hands up a lot when the play is barely over. He also ran some really sloppy/lazy routes this game. I’m not saying Diggs isn’t a good player, but he hasn’t been good the past few weeks. I’m not running an end zone fade to him either, so I do get your point.
  20. The refs were terrible, but it seems like these missed calls might be in Diggs head. He spends more time looking for a flag than fighting for the ball the past few weeks.
  21. This is a decent take, the entire feel of the OT drive was different from what we just saw a couple minutes beforehand. Daboll also made the mistake of opening the drive with another wasted Singletary run. There’s a lot to be said for this team overthinking things imo.
  22. Yep, hate to be in the Chiefs corner, but that’s how the Bucs won the Super Bowl.
  23. Plus those Colts teams had just enough playmakers to overcome being soft. We don’t have a Bob Sanders or Dwight Freeney on defense.
