I had issues with our coaching last night, but I will say it’s easier to win big when you’re allowed to hit like it’s 1978. The Ravens are given a lot of freedom by the NFL to play tough nosed football. I was amazed at some of the non calls.
Yeah, I agree about the obvious run looks. If I recall correctly, we had a run with Mack Hollins as our only wideout on the field. I’m willing to sellout to stop the run if Hollins is the only WR on the field.
I knew it was going to be a long night when McD punted on fourth and two from the fifty during the first possession. I understand it’s risky, but it showed we were prepared to coach conservatively against this opponent.
Lots of people disappointed in Hamiln and Bass. I can’t even get to the point of caring about that. Our issues tonight extend well beyond individual players.
It’s McD coaching conservative against a good opponent, he’s afraid of the spotlight moments. It happens regularly, and it’s what happens against KC in the playoffs.
