That’s fair, he’ll get decent recruits, but I don’t know if it’ll be enough to turn Colorado around. It doesn’t take as many good recruits to turn around a program who competes at a lower level. I’m admittedly bias, in that Deion annoyed me as a player. Prime is all about Prime, and I’m not convinced that’s a good trait in a leader. I think that trait is going to catch up to him eventually as a coach.

Deion takes on the persona of a preacher at the drop of a hat. That means a lot when he recruited at JSU, because he claimed to be in coaching for a greater cause, and one that means a lot to many people. The HBSU’s have immensely powerful history, and inspiring stories. Sanders used emotional appeal to become a great recruiter. He isn’t going to have that at Colorado. There’s no reason why that top recruit won’t choose Oregon or USC. How many of these kids even know who Deion is?

The Carr to Adams connection should be dominant, like Allen to Diggs, except Carr stinks.

Beane really has terrible luck with aging/veteran players. There’s just so many examples.

This stinks, and I wish him a speedy recovery. Miller’s production can never be replaced, but if just one of our endless list of highly drafted D line guys could be consistent, it’d go a long way towards helping a Super Bowl run.

Bucs might have the most boring offense in the league, it’s really bad. Godwin is really overrated too.

I don’t know if the Deion gimmick is going to work as well in a power five conference. I think Deion coaching at a small HBCU school had a special allure, and he marketed it as an altruistic endeavor. If he starts out slowly, he’s not going to be able to promise recruits the moon, and his shtick will grow old real fast.

Josh’s running is crucial to our success, and I don’t think we can afford to eliminate that part of his game this season. I do agree that we need to build a team and game plan in the near future that doesn’t rely so heavily on Allen’s running. I think people are looking at the risks in the wrong way. We keep hearing how easy it is to get injured in the pocket, and all the ways season ending injuries occur. I’m not concerned about season ending injuries as much as cumulative damage over years. Cumulative damage is exactly what shortens running back careers. That type of damage doesn’t necessary result in diagnosable injury, but rather wear and tear that reduces a players effectiveness.

It’s amazing that Diggs is able to get open so often when everyone knows where the ball is going. He really isn’t given enough credit for his dominance. It reminds me of some of the all time greats in their prime.
