  1. I’m just going to say what no one else has yet. There’s people around here more well versed than I on the legal system, but I’ll share what I’ve seen with my own eyes. If Watson was an average dude, he’s probably in jail. People forget the benefits to wealth. I’ve seen people take some pretty harsh falls for one “he said/she said” incident, but the burden of evidence needed always seems greater when you can afford a stellar legal team.
  2. The media loves to overhype every skinny jean wearing millennial head coach.
  3. Deshaun is the last guy Cleveland needed at this point. Cleveland needed to be in rebuild mode after Mayfield proved to be a bust. It’s not wise to go from one QB with questionable character to another with dubious character. Championship teams have real leadership, and the Browns keep polluting the locker room.
  4. Agree, I think this stint in Cleveland is going to prove how overrated he is. Sitting a year isn’t ideal either. Cleveland isn’t typically the best place to revive a career.
  5. I always loved Leroi’s information, but I never understood what someone gets out of leaking information on a forum. Nothing against the guy, but I never understood the motive. It really speaks to how the culture has changed.
  6. Nice to be the mystery team, after all those years of Whaley and his people leaking everything.
  7. Watching Kentucky vs St.Peter’s. Good to see Gene Steratore can get all the calls wrong in a sport other than football 😆 Can’t believe dude gets paid for his “expertise”
  8. At least he didn’t quit at halftime or retire before the season like our other bargain FA’s. He’s a decent player, but this loss doesn’t worry me.
  9. I hear you, maybe I shouldn’t question his dedication in Buffalo, but the Vegas incident made me question his off field life early in his career. I shouldn’t jump to such conclusions, but something seemed off. It wouldn’t be unusual for a young guy to turn things around. He’ll never be a great player, but he seems more together these days. It shows watching him play. He looks like his head is actually in the game. Jones looked like a deer in the headlights half the time here.
  10. Zay looked like an average receiver with the Raiders. That’s a huge accomplishment considering his time in Buffalo. I wish him nothing but the best, but it’s frustrating he didn’t seem to take being a pro seriously in Buffalo. There’d definitely be a place for him with Josh. I wouldn’t ever sign the guy, but it’s a shame he couldn’t get it together here.
  11. I like giving everything a chance to work out. If I’m being honest, I’d rather sign a big impact guy over spending money on guys like Saffold and McKissic. We’re impact guys away from winning the Super Bowl, not role players. Beane is all about team building, and it’s a necessity to build depth through free agency, but I’d go with a cheaper rookie with a similar skill set over someone like McKissic imo.
  12. I agree, I’ve been wrong about a lot of coaches too. I hope Daboll does well, but the Giants have some major roster issues. They need a total rebuild, and I don’t think anyone gets enough time in NY to survive a rebuild. The Giants don’t have an unproven roster. They just have a bunch of guys who didn’t live up to their potential, or are always injured. That’s not even taking the huge question mark at QB position into consideration. It’s going to be very difficult to succeed in NY. I don’t blame Daboll for taking the job, he’ll get a nice paycheck, but it’s an uphill climb.
  13. The Giants will continue to be a mess if this is a sign of things to come. Luckily their fans aren’t bright enough to know any better. They’ll have tons of hope though.
  14. I’m alright with this signing, but lets hope it goes better than Beane’s other old guy signings.
  15. That ruined my future April Fools Day post.
  16. Brady benefited greatly from going to a Bucs team with a loaded offense. That offense is going to be without many of the pieces that helped Brady win a title. They’ve lost key guys recently, and field an offensive line without a lot of experience together. That isn’t what I’d want if I’m Brady. He’s always proven everyone wrong, so I’m not ready to predict a sharp decline, but it seems possible in 2022.
  17. Josh does seem like a regular guy you wouldn’t mind having a beer with. The majority of elite QB’s over the past few decades seem to be the opposite of the average Joe. Stafford is another guy who seems down to earth, but there are a lot of prima donnas.
  18. I don’t know why the Raiders would trade him, I also don’t know why anyone would want to trade for him.
  19. It’s a shame AB walked out. They could have avoided supply chain issues by having him just paint them.
  20. I think much of this wouldn’t be said if Kingsbury had any control of his locker room, or the respect of players. He seems lost as an NFL coach.
  21. I agree, it wouldn’t be much of a distraction. I reference “baggage” because it does exist. It doesn’t matter if the “mistake” was handled years ago, by definition baggage is always in the past. The current front office doesn’t typically go for players with such baggage. That’s where I find it to be relevant. Lastly, I can’t look a guy who rushed for 386 yards last year as the answer for our run game. I think Hunt love is the old “I know that guy” deal. There will be better, cheaper, younger running backs available imo.
  22. Hunt is being extremely overrated here. This conversation has been about the off field stuff, but he’s not a special player. His reputation was built entirely on his accomplishments in KC. Acquiring the baggage isn’t worth it.
  23. Yeah, I don’t think Brandon did anything innovative. The Bills just marketed themselves for the first time in franchise history. We were stuck in the Stone Age with marketing, but other teams already had the blueprint for Brandon to follow.
  24. I also think you need to be wired a certain way to make it to the top. Guys who are ready to retire because they made enough cash, aren’t the types who reach the top of their profession. He also played for the Lions. That has to be a factor.
  25. Amen to the retro 90’s stuff. I grew up in the 90’s, it stunk back then, and it still stinks. It was the beginning of pop culture purging itself of all quality. It also boasted some of the dorkiest styles for “cool” people of all time.
