I realize the Eagles are a good team, but this game exposed the real Daniel Jones. Daboll has done a brilliant job making Jones look like the future in Jersey, but that game would make me have second thoughts.

Philly is the perfect setting for this type of language.

Sirianni is the perfect coach for Philly personally wise. Seems like he’d fit right in that town.

I’m really impressed what Daboll has done with the Giants, because Jones doesn’t look like the guy, regardless of how this season changed some opinions of Jones. I think Daboll is in a similar spot as McD with Taylor. They can stick with Jones or be bold. The Bills got it right with Allen, but it’s tough to move on from a playoff QB.

Hurts looks really good, but that Eagles offense is really loaded with talent.

I blame the Brady phenomenon. Historically the NFL had elite QB’s who succeeded by taking risks, and making aggressive downfield throws. Brady wins seven Super Bowl with the short passing game, and it all changes. I think that style has now become accepted as the “right” way to build an offense and elite QB.

I’d prefer a Jags win, but if the Super Bowl goes through KC, I’m fine with that. I don’t see Jacksonville as a push over if they beat KC. I’ve seen too many teams get hot at playoff time, and unexpectedly make the Super Bowl. The neutral site makes a KC win a bit less intimidating. The real plus of a Jags win is home field advantage, not because it’s an easy win.

Agree, the Bucs looked like a stale 90’s offense for the past several years. I’ve always thought the play calling was awful and lacked creativity. Brady was great enough to mask those deficiencies his first two years. He looked washed up this season, and Leftwich had nothing to help.

How confident are you the Bills beat the Bengals?
SirAndrew replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tons of talk about Dorsey and Allen, but I see pass coverage as the deciding factor. Our ability to cover Higgins and Chase will be the difference between a win or loss. I wish I were confident about the pass coverage situation. It’s also fortunate that Cincy has offensive line issues, but will our pass rush pull through? That’s another question mark. The pass rush can help coverage if able to take advantage of a depleted offensive line. However, our pass rush isn’t the most reliable, and Frazier doesn’t dial up much pressure. -
Yeah, I was unfortunate enough to watch many Bucs games this year. Brady’s total passing yardage isn’t impressive. He accumulated tons of yardage in garbage time this season with his team down big. He rarely looked good when it actually counted.

I can’t wait for the media to crown the Cowboys champs after this win. They beat a garbage 8 win team, with a middle aged divorcée at QB.
-
Aikman on the screen pass, “there was a chance for him to catch it and run”. Who would have thought?
-
This matchup is loaded with players whose names are far greater than their actual game.
-
They probably will lose because Brady is their QB, cause he’s completely washed. Somehow it seems like it’s not allowed to be said.

The money ball/analytics era has made people obsessed with perfection in sports. You can throw a couple picks, make a bunch of spectacular plays to win the game, yet people fixate on the interceptions. I’m all about wins. I’ll be concerned with interceptions when the team starts losing. Josh has shown time and time again that he can overcome mistakes. Obviously fewer mistakes are better, but his talent is worth the journey.

I hope that’s the case, it’s the only thing that could explain such terrible clock management. It’s a much better excuse than incompetence.

Is it my imagination but has Cris Collinsworth improved this season?
SirAndrew replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s nice that he likes to give players compliments, but it becomes a bit much at times. That’s my biggest issue with Collinsworth. I started tuning out when he went all in on praising Huntley last night, right before he fumbled. -
Ravens and Lamar do not reach contract agreement
SirAndrew replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
The first play that comes to mind is Huntley’s 35 yard run with the game tied at 17-17. He fumbles shortly after on the QB sneak, while Lamar most likely scores on that long run, rather than being stopped just short of the goal line. It’s random, but I instantly thought of Lamar on that play. -
Serious Superstition Question/Poll: I Need Your Help
SirAndrew replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall
You typically throw out the old bottle after a loss, why didn’t you throw out this bottle after the KC loss? It seems like the superstition routine has been broken. I’m just curious, even though we now know what happened. It should have been immediately given a proper burial following the KC loss. You’re lucky it didn’t curse the Miami game. -
I can’t begin to understand Gabe, but credit to him for a great game. If he plays three more good games, I don’t care if I ever understand the mystery of Gabe.

Yes, I’ve been a little harsh on Harbaugh as a coach in my posts, but I was annoyed by how annoyed he looked tonight. He just gave off bad body language all evening, and I’m impressed the team played as well as they did. He looked like a dude who got dragged to the movies by his wife.
