Washington @ Philadelphia - NFC Championship Game thread

I don’t know if I’d be seething. It probably just means the Eagles would have pushed around that second string defense, and Goff would have melted down anyway. -

Sirianni deserves credit at some point. I know people don’t seem to think highly of him, but a lot of coaches who haven’t won jack get much more credit. -
I agree, and I find it funny how many people think Belichick would be successful anywhere, yet he’s a similar age. Some of those people must be the same who are saying Carroll is too old. Carroll seems a lot more vibrant and energetic than Belichick. I give him better odds to succeed at this point.

How aggressive do you want McDermott to be on Sunday?
SirAndrew replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t love the idea of going for two down one at the end of a game. The two point conversion is like a hockey penalty shot, it makes the game random. You either win or lose on one play. Take the game to overtime, and the outcome is determined by a greater amount of events. I’d feel more comfortable taking a loss in that situation. -

That’s not the type of aggressiveness I want to see. That’s more like dumb Dan Campbell aggressiveness imo. I want to see them be aggressive in a way that means we keep our foot on the gas. I want to score every time we have the ball without thinking about the clock. -
I’m very happy with how far we made it.

I agree, I’d feel better if KC declined this season, and showed signs of the dynasty being over. I could accept that we had a successful season no matter what happens. Instead, it seems the burden of taking down the most obnoxious team in sports has been placed on the Buffalo Bills. -
College football championship. Notre Dame/Ohio State

It certainly seems that way, but college football was always a bit like MLB anyways. There hasn’t been much parody in national championship winners over the past few decades. It’s always been the programs with the most resources. -

I wish the band didn’t feel the need to play after every single down. -
Both, I think the way they’ve handled that roster is extremely overrated.

I don’t think the Bears are a great job, because I think they need a new front office before they can turn things around.

I’ve never understood the complaints, this is exactly what sports talk radio is. It’s really no better or worse in other markets. This isn’t supposed to be the pinnacle of culture.

I don’t think he’s had a lot of drops in the playoffs, but they might be referring to him disappearing in the playoffs. His playoff numbers aren’t good, while he can be dominant in the regular season. Andrews has zero touchdowns in eight postseason games.

Lamar in particular was very classy after that loss. He gave credit to Buffalo, and accepted blame for his mistakes. In no world do I want Jackson winning a Super Bowl before us, but this team is the polar opposite of Kansas City.
