  1. Henry is old, and running backs don’t win titles for NFL teams in 2023. You need an adequate back, but nothing more is necessary to win a title.
  2. The Milano injury changed everything, but Beane went into the season dangerously short on linebacker depth, that’s on him. I agree with those who think a WR is the better route. Go all in on offense, between draft choices and trades this defense experiment has been going on for years, at some point they need to admit defeat.
  3. True, but I guess I’m saying if Mayfield is a QB we fear, this season is over, but I’m not ready to believe that quite yet.
  4. Only the Buffalo Bills will beat the Buffalo Bills on Thursday. Mayfield isn’t everything some seem to think. Can we stay out of our own way? We’ll find out.
  5. Why are people assuming he was driving 90 in a 55?
  6. Fair, but with Purdy I’d worry there’s a turning point where he permanently turns into the seventh round QB he is.
  7. I think the Brock Purdy magic trick might have been exposed tonight.
  8. The NFL really needs to figure out consistent PI calls. It ruins the game.
  9. Whenever I watch NFL football it leads me to a sad conclusion. The Chiefs are always the team to beat, and no one else comes very close.
  10. How long can a QB bargain really last. Couldn’t a guy just hold out for an extension, or force a trade? I think we’d see this from QB’s if more lower round QB had big time success.
  11. Kincaid being part of the game plan was great, but Dorsey has yet to figure ways to get him down field. The use of Kincaid looks like old school TE play in comparison to the modern play making TE we hoped for.
  12. Teams are winning without franchise QB’s, and the Brady/Manning years are over. I think this shift makes football more interesting, less dependent on one draft pick deciding titles. However, I think franchise QB’s might matter more than you realize, we just don’t have many right now. The Dolphins and 49ers could always fall short because of it. I’m afraid to say things look really good for the Chiefs because Mahomes is that franchise QB. I don’t know if anyone can surpass them in the post season. You might be seeing another dynasty, because the franchise QB.
  13. I’ll never forget the 41-15 home loss to the Colts as well. Brought a bunch of family to the game from out of town. I remember thinking I’d show them what an elite QB on a contender looks like. Instead the team suffered one of their random malfunctions we’ve grown accustomed to.
  14. The 2021 struggles were a coaching staff who couldn’t get it together, then we lost in the divisional round with the infamous 13 seconds. I don’t take much comfort in the 2021 season, because it actually showcased our shortcomings, and maybe the ceiling for this team.
  15. I think fan expectations are often too lofty when it comes wins/losses. I understand that NFL teams lose games, often times to inferior opponents, but it’s how we lose that concerned me throughout the McD years. This team wins 38-0 one week, and gets annihilated at home 41-10 the next, or loses to the Jags 9-6. These aren’t the type of losses that Super Bowl teams suffer year after year. Our losses have been a series of embarrassments, flukes, coaching errors, player blunders, and freak performances from opponents. People reminisce about 2020, and 2021, but we also lost to the Colts at home 41-15, and lost to the Pats throwing three passes (or whatever it was). Something just seems off, and it doesn’t look like the stuff of champions.
  16. I’ve never said anything negative about Josh on this board, but here it goes. I agree with the McD doubters, but how does an elite QB look so bad through entire halves and quarters of multiple games? It’s happening too often, and Josh needs to be added to the list of people who need to get things right.
  17. Everyone is going to analyze that last quarter, ignoring this fact too.
  18. Josh’s career will never be as long as it should be if Beane can’t figure out this line.
  19. That fourth down call by OSU in this type of game made no sense imo. Big Ten football can be a brutal watch at times.
  20. He deserves credit for his time in Buffalo, but we saw his limitations last night. The Giants win that game if he doesn’t call an audible on the goal line before the half. He’s great at playing mistake free football, but the mental mistakes are huge. He also did poorly with two minute offense clock management. Too many guys walking back to the line at a leisurely pace.
  21. Nice catch in a big spot for a guy who doesn’t see much action.
  22. Tyrod is still king of the field goal offense.
  23. Dorsey’s worst call of the night right there.
  24. I agree, I’m just thinking we all know more about Tyrod than Daboll, because I already knew he wouldn’t care about score and situation.
  25. I get it, but I knew from the start I’m not trusting Tyrod on the goal line with under ten seconds and no timeouts. You need to know your players. Daboll let the clock get to that point, and then called a bunch of run plays.
