  1. Since when did MVS become a decent receiver? It’s all just come together perfectly for the Chiefs lately.
  2. I’m praying for stop here. I really want to see Lamar get a chance.
  3. Tucker’s a great kicker. I wouldn’t have been opposed to an onside.
  4. This “elite” Chiefs D sure gets away with a lot. The refs really let them play.
  5. I’m sure they’ll find time to talk about both nonstop.
  6. I really don’t want to see another 49ers Chiefs Super Bowl. Go Lions
  7. John Harbaugh and Monken running that pocket passer style offense with the season on the line was ridiculous. It’s like they don’t know the type of player Jackson is.
  8. Ravens needed to start running that college style offense they used early in Lamar’s career. Just do what works, get him out there making plays with his feet. It was their only hope imo. I don’t get it. Pocket passer Lamar with the season on the line is dumb.
  9. How about teams just take all receivers named Zay off their draft boards in the future.
  10. That’s one of those fundamental things that so many players seem to lack these days.
  11. Ravens D needs to make a big play in the second half if they want a chance at winning.
  12. This looks like the same Ravens offense that gets knocked out of the playoffs every year. I’m not looking forward to a KC Super Bowl.
  13. Lamar Jackson is playing a very lucky game so far.
  14. Nice stop, but I really don’t trust Jackson to move the offense. I hope I’m wrong.
  15. To be fair, we caught some bad breaks and made dumb mistakes the first half of the year. I think a lot of those breaks went our way in the second half. Who knows if we even win the division without the Harty punt return in Miami.
  16. You’re not wrong, of course McDermott wants to win. His idea of building a championship team is different than what I’d prefer. This team became a ball control offense, that’s what I saw with my eyes, then McD talks about “complimentary” football in press conferences. That told me he places a high value on controlling the clock, rather than building a big play offense. McDermott truly believes he has the best plan to win. He appears to be a great guy and good leader. I never criticized his coaching on this board prior to the KC divisional loss. I now think we’ve plateaued with McD as coach.
  17. I’m tired of hearing about this vaunted Ravens defense. They sure aren’t showing up today. The NFL is about outscoring people.
  18. I’m still a little disappointed in the KC loss to have coherent Bills related thoughts, but the passing aspect worries. Brady actually did a good job, but we don’t know if he can scheme a reliable passing game. We scored points, and played good ball, but I don’t know if that’s a sustainable style long term.
  19. I’ll give it chance, but I think this is the case of a head coach with a very particular vision. He wants a coordinator where he gets more input in how the offense functions.
  20. Good numbers, it’s amazing because for some reason it seemed like he was always injured to me, but that’s not true. I think comparing him to Kelce exaggerates that, because Kelce is never out with injury, or so it seems. Gronk had a couple years where he missed half the year, Kelce seems to play every game throughout his career. He’s the one constant on that offense that doesn’t go away, and allows it to function.
  21. Yeah, Allen’s divisional rounds against KC have been among the best QB performances in league history. It will just get lost in time because we didn’t win anything. Manning and his team had a meltdown whenever they had to leave their dome.
  22. Make sure I’m in Buffalo to join the biggest Super Bowl celebration this country has ever seen.
  23. You’re right, but I think Buffalo has something unique that only Green Bay could have. Buffalo is one of the smallest cities in the NFL. It’s often referred to as a city with a small town feel. The impact of Bills football on the area is greater than other areas. If someone doesn’t agree with this, that’s fine, but there’s no way I can’t see this fact. The entire area is attached to what happens on game day. It’s what everyone talks about at work on Monday morning. You could easily live in the suburbs of Boston, and not hear a mention of the Pats on Monday morning at work. I’m not questioning Pats fans in particular, there’s millions of them, but the percentage of people who care in the metro area is smaller imo. An extremely high percentage of Buffalonians care about the Bills. That’s what makes it special to me. We also don’t have MLB, or the NBA in the city either. I think fans in places like Detroit are also great. They’re probably amazing to a player like Goff after years in LA, but it’s still a bigger city with more titles than Buffalo. I’ve never seen a place where random role players can’t walk through a mall without being noticed, and that’s Buffalo.
  24. You have a good point, but I’m not convinced that much separates the best defensive teams from the average ones. Those teams have good defenses, but they also have dynamic offense. We’re never going to see the 85 Bears or Dilfer Ravens again. The Ravens have Jackson, while SF has a dynamic offensive coach along with good receivers and CMC. I’m not about to call the Ravens or 49ers defense overrated, but sometimes the best defense is a good offense. Those teams invested in their offense, particularly the 49ers with hiring Shanahan. One player like Bosa makes a huge impact on defense. The problem is the difficulty in finding a guy like Bosa. The Lions have the same luxury with Hutchinson. Those guys are game changers, making the entire defense look better.
  25. Good summary, Beane always seems to have a decent grasp of things, but I’ll add a few thoughts. I’m good with most of what Beane says, and agree, but I’ll share a couple differing opinions. I’m with the OP that I’d like to hear a commitment to building around Allen. It worries we’ll be going heavy on defense again. It sounds insane, but I’m not convinced anyone in this organization truly appreciates the greatness of Josh Allen. Maybe it’s a case of being too close to a situation, but it seems like they don’t get it. The comments that we need more speed players is one I’d frame differently as well. We need dependable receivers that Allen can count on, not necessarily speed guys. I want a number one with reliable hands who’s a good route runner. Speed guys aren’t the only options at receiver. In fact it can very difficult to find receivers with speed and good hands. Tyeeek Hill made everyone become too obsessed with speedy receivers. Lets hope we draft a receiver in the early rounds, rather than think we’re finding a late gem because the guy is fast.
