  1. Manning will be interesting to watch this season. You’ve got to wonder if he amounts to everything that’s been predicted. It’s difficult not to have a bias assuming he’ll be great. His physical attributes and playing style look just like every other Manning. It’s challenging to be subjective.
  2. 14-7. Texas got a taste of Big Ten football today. Manning not looking great. It’ll be interesting to see if he’s another Manning, or a Trevor Lawrence type “generational talent”.
  3. Agree, this is why I appreciate players solely for on field production. I don’t like players because they’re a “good guy”. If a great player has been guilty of unsavory behavior, I’m not going to be a fan, but beyond extreme cases I don’t judge.
  4. Yeah, it’s time to save the Allen Superman runs for the playoffs. Those hits are going to feel different on the other side of 30. The yards per catch is something I’d always expect to be higher with Coleman. We have so many slot type receivers, he’s really the only guy I picture Allen pushing the ball to downfield.
  5. Yeah, statistically there’s probably what I’m thinking with Coleman as well. I see the potential for a couple more touchdowns, but receptions sound spot on.
  6. I miss those type of matchups as well. When modern heavyweights matchup, it turns into last team with the ball wins scenario. Those games were far more nuanced.
  7. I predict I’ll be much happier about him than Cole Bishop.
  8. I wish there were virtual stadium seat views available online. I’m very curious what the views are going to look like.
  9. It stinks for fans more than anything. The last weekend before Labor Day and a huge game every college football wants to watch is on at noon.
  10. That’s fair, but this isn’t a case of “those who can’t criticize those who can”. It’s just musical taste being very subjective. As a music nerd it bums me out that Swift is seen as the pinnacle of musical talent in 2025.
  11. Great post, describes why I can’t stand popular modern music. It’s created using a cult leader mindset of producing catnip for the masses. There’s no individual artistic expression, it just regurgitates thoughts of the fanbase. I’m old enough to remember when bands released albums the fanbase hated, because they followed their heart. Almost every act had these albums, Swift never will because it’s so carefully crafted.
  12. Exactly, and I keep hearing what great guys the Kelce’s are in the media and public opinion. I can’t stand the concept of these guys defining an acceptable version of manhood in the 21st century. Their behavior would have made them nothing more than a joke in previous eras.
  13. Agree, I don’t know them personally, so I try not to judge. My issue is that people actually emulate these characters. Whether it consciously occurs or not is irrelevant, people literally model their personalities on celebs these days. I don’t love the idea of a world where Swift and Kelce are the ultimate male and female role models.
  14. QB is the most important sports position on the planet. All the talent in the world doesn’t matter when your QB chokes in the playoffs. Lamar Jackson hasn’t played well enough against the Chiefs or Bills in the postseason. He’s been the problem.
  15. I’ve been in the wrong wedding parties.
  16. I tend to think is Clemson is overrated, but I agree the ACC is a bit disrespected. It’s not the SEC, but it’s certainly not the worst. I’ve always thought the Big Ten was overrated. They have some blue bloods, but the second tier isn’t very good. It was Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State with a bunch of bad teams before the west coast schools joined.
  17. These type of stories are based solely on fan opinion. The Pegula yacht is a story because the NYC based media have taken the story and ran with it. We all have similar meltdowns when something in NYC is funded.
  18. Cheap Trick seems like the type of band that only real fans would know most songs to begin with. Sure, they have a few well known hits, but aren’t a band who can play an hour and a half of songs everyone knows. Great band, but more a critical darling and icon to rock fans who dig a little deeper.
  19. Wouldn’t it be ugly right now if Josh retired tomorrow? The NFL QB is somehow even more important than most realize.
  20. That’s pretty lame to heckle a seventh round draft pick.
  21. Rebellion has died so I don’t think the anti-Bills contrarians are as common. People these days go along with every trend. Younger generations seem to all act the same, there aren’t the many different groups/cliques we had growing up. There used to be more ways to be an individual, but influencers have ruined that. With that said, choosing to root against Buffalo is a lame form of rebellion.
  22. I get the point, but Buffalo is different geographically and demographically from places like Fresno and Bakersfield. It’s more likely to hold large scale events. As far as concerts, performers play anywhere/anytime if they get payed. Paul McCartney is playing Buffalo in November. I’m sure he isn’t remotely concerned about weather. Absolutely, you can’t compare it to larger metro areas that are surrounded by miles of desert land.
  23. Keon Coleman needs to be that guy, I know we have Shakir, but WR depth looks ugly.
  24. That was a nice throw. Mike White can look phenomenal in spots, but every great throw seems followed by a bad one.
