  1. The neutering has always been to keep points limited against McD’s defense. More time of possession=hiding the defense.
  2. Yep, and end the “complimentary” offense, just do this. We played keep away with the Chiefs two years in a row, and lost both.
  3. McD going for the Gen Z clear frames, not loving it.
  4. This reminds me of when the offense used to be fun to watch. Complimentary offense, compliment this.
  5. We already know the defense is subpar. Allen will need to carry the team. Will the offensive allow that? I want to see how conservative we remain on that side.
  6. He has, but then takes them off at halftime. Not sure what the deal is with that.
  7. The Lions are a reflection of their coach. Fun, entertaining, tough, but also an unpredictable roller coaster.
  8. Mahomes left himself open to big hits, and they were both quite weak.
  9. That’s fair, but at what point do you alter your defense to provide more man coverage against the guy? He’s been destroying people for years, and doesn’t even look like a dude who runs really well anymore.
  10. I’m not close to being the best X’s and O’s guy, but I don’t understand why Kelce is never covered by anyone.
  11. Seemed to be initial confusion on that play.
  12. I agree, rules and as someone else pointed out, QB mobility these days. Guys like Dan Marino and Jim Kelly aren’t escaping.
  13. Yeah, I think what works is constant inside pressure from an all around solid defensive line. The Eagles were able to scheme this in the Super Bowl. A singular elite guy on the edge just doesn’t get the job anymore.
  14. Hutchinson is a great player, but elite pass rushers just don’t seem to stifle elite QB’s like past eras.
  15. Where in the world does Caitlin Clark fit in with all this? Does KC really need a random celebrity following.
  16. He was always going to be, because he’s basically a bargain bin version of Tyreek Hill. I mean that in the most complimentary way possible.
  17. It was the right call based on the rule book, but the type of thing they never call/catch. As someone else mentioned, I’m sure a phone call was made instructing the refs to make that call.
  18. I agree, but there are people who react extremely poorly to alcohol, becoming violent hostile versions of themselves. That’s tough to understand for many of us, but it’s a thing.
  19. My family has some huge Penn State fans, so there should be a soft spot for that team in my heart. However, I’ve never done such a 180 on a sports team in my life. Just as I was beginning to come back around, they hire Franklin. The guy loses and comes across as completely unlikable. I know many fans feel similarly, so I don’t know how they can stick with him much longer.
  20. I enjoy college football more than pro ball at this point. The Bills are the only thing that keep me interested. It’s closer to the form of football I grew up appreciating. The NFL seems more in the entertainment/story line business. I just wish there were more relevant teams in the northeast, creating better fan interest in these parts. Water cooler football talk is always fun, but you don’t get it with college football up here. That’s another factor why I still keep up with the NFL.
  21. Yeah, I fully believe in CTE and things of that nature, but it’s typically far more complicated. Sanchez was king of USC and a highly sought after recruit. These guys don’t have to follow rules the majority of their lives. Some guys are just good dudes, others are trouble waiting to happen once they enter the real world.
  22. I’ve never loved Brady’s offense, but I can’t blame him much for Palmer’s production. Palmer played with Herbert in LA, he didn’t really produce much. Palmer putting up big numbers would have been a surprise imo.
