  1. Right, and I’ve got nothing against the dude, but Sirianni is a perfect fit for Philly in an almost obnoxious way.
  2. Hurts reminds me of a high end Tannehill when the Titans were contenders. He’s got everything going for him, and does his part to take advantage of a loaded roster.
  3. True, I think all I was getting at in my post is how little hope I have for this movie to contain any redeeming qualities. It seems like a theme that’s been done before, and it needs some element of humor to work. I’m sure they’ll try, and some people will like it, but these aren’t actresses I see making me laugh much. Betty White would have been great in this type of role, if the movie involved anyone but Brady.
  4. You’re not wrong, but I could make the argument this role reduces them. I understand what you’re getting at, but I’m not sure if any male star has been considered a “stud” at 80 plus. Actors of both genders are unfortunately reduced to age related roles after that point in their career. I think what you’re getting at is fair, but I’m not sure if this movie is the best example of empowerment.
  5. The offense and defense were both bad against Cincy. The defense has failed in the playoffs for three straight years, and we occasionally get run over at home in games like the Pats no pass epic. The offense needs improvement, but the defense has been consistently soft, with a scheme that doesn’t work in big games. No one expects the 2000 Ravens, but this isn’t good enough, and we keep doing the same thing. A big time offense can win titles these days, but the defense needs to do something, and they are soft as can be.
  6. Except those characters had humor and charm that I’m not expecting out of this cast. I think it could be alright if that were the case, but I expect it to be nothing more than an easy payday for these actresses. Another fun fact, most of the characters on the Golden Girls were supposed to be in their fifties.
  7. The ticket sales thing might be the number one reason I can’t stand the Bengals. I’m cool with trash talk, but it needs to be rooted in some truth, much like a decent joke. There’s no truth in any of it, as we all know, but even the head coach mentioned it after the game. It’s just sad and pathetic. I’m not sure why the Bengals see themselves as such an underdog. Burrow was the prodigal son who won a National Championship with LSU, much different from Brady’s ascent. Their motivation is all nonsense.
  8. I agree, the Eagles aren’t a great example, because they’ve been better the last ten years than people give them credit for. It’s not like they’re in the championship talk every year, but they’ve mostly had winning seasons.
  9. I agree, Singletary would seem much better with some help in the backfield. His lack of speed is what I can’t get past. This is a big play offense, and the feature back doesn’t have big play ability. An offense that spreads out the defense needs backs who can take it to the house, otherwise the occasional four yard gain seems like a waste. I think Singletary might be better suited as a contributor in more of a ground and pound attack.
  10. Yeah, I don’t understand what people are seeing. The yards per carry stuff doesn’t do much for me. We have Allen spreading the defense out, slinging the ball everywhere. Why shouldn’t we get four yards per carry on the occasional surprise handoff? Our o line is a mess, but I don’t see Singletary as a feature back. I credit him for running well with power, but he doesn’t have anything special. Whenever he bursts past the line of scrimmage I’m waiting for him to get caught from behind. Once he moves into the second level, he has no ability to break away. Those are things I see with my eyes, not told by statistics. Singletary is a nice guy to have on the roster, but I’m not going out of my way to keep him, and wouldn’t worry about losing him.
  11. A couple years ago I was on here defending Singletary, but I’ve given up on him. I’m not sure why he’s held in high regard. He’s slow, can’t break a big run, and doesn’t concern defenses. He’s our best guy, so he’s been given the most opportunity, but that doesn’t mean he’s good. Singletary picks up some yardage, but who shouldn’t with Allen as QB? He just doesn’t offer much imo.
  12. None of our backs are irreplaceable. You should be able to find anyone in the draft who can play at the level of our starters. Ironically, we drafted Moss who made that statement seem untrue. Cook is just a pass catcher and situational guy so that’s a separate conversation.
  13. I’m glad McD found a scapegoat. Another year, another lack of accountability.
  14. I can’t see it, I don’t think Rodgers would get anywhere near the NY media.
  15. And a conversation with coaching that draft picks need to be part of the game plan early. We don’t know what we have with Cook or Shakir because this old school rookies sit the bench stuff, along with the inability to utilize guys properly.
  16. I agree with all this, but Cowherd failing to mention Buffalo’s defensive failures is strange. He could make the point that McD is a defensive coach, and the defense also failed. Instead he mentions all the defensive players we’ve invested in, but doesn’t mention their lack of impact. He goes on to say the Cowboys were ready to play, but they have an offensive coach in McCarthy, and they did nothing on offense. It was their defense that kept them in the game. Cowherd is right, but he focuses on offense, while playoff football needs both sides of the ball to show up. It’s to be expected though. His gig is talking up the big time QB’s.
  17. People sure are delusional about the Sabres.
  18. Josh has played well in the cold, but it seems like any precipitation destroys this offense. We’ve seen it quite a bit.
  19. Maybe we need a more competitive division. It might good for our defense to get exposed as a fraud during the regular season. We might see change that’s actually needed. They get to skate by compiling elite stats while beating up Mac Jones and Mike White.
  20. This has been my biggest McD criticism. We’ve been one of the better teams in the league the past few years, but suffer humiliating home losses on a yearly basis.
  21. I like Beane, but I’m convinced he knows nothing about receivers. This press conference didn’t help change my mind.
