  1. KC doesn’t have good receivers beyond Kelce at all. I didn’t realize that before tonight.
  2. I saw that flag coming when the ball was in the air.
  3. The Lions D is an obvious strength, and it’ll keep them competitive all year. My concern is they don’t seem to play smart football. Fielding that punt was exhibit A.
  4. That’s my issue with the Lions. I actually don’t trust Goff or Campbell. They deserve credit for last year, and it seems they’ve turned things around, but QB/Coach combos mean everything. Goff has been an up and down player his entire career, and Campbell coaches with an emotional, high energy style. It seems those type of leaders find it difficult to sustain success.
  5. I’m more than ready for a new NFL season, but having a tough time getting excited about this matchup. The Chiefs have become the new Pats, I’ve seen too much of them, and Mahomes perfection has become boring to watch.
  6. Maybe we’ll get a sixth for Elam next year. I actually think Beane has been a great GM but I don’t like much about our approach to drafting defensive players. We’ve made too many redundant picks, along with guys who seem incompatible with our scheme, and coaches can’t figure out how to use them. Wasted draft picks on defense might be the greatest hurdle to this generation of Bills being champs. Picks like Elam and Basham would have been better used on offensive linemen.
  7. Yeah, I like the idea of a better backup, but are they really out there? I just looked at Mason Rudolph vs Kyle Allen stats, and they’re similar, with a smaller sample size from Rudolph. Additionally, I don’t trust Rudolph and Dodson together.
  8. True, but nothing that happens in Washington is astonishing.
  9. I don’t take much from this game, but will say I don’t think I’ve ever seen a coach take off his glasses at halftime. When your coach can’t even figure out if he wants to wear glasses, you slowly lose faith in everything else.
  10. Loved Tasker the player, but it’s painful to hear him constantly referencing the wrong player.
  11. Elam is a massive disappointment at corner, we needed him to become CB2 imo. It’s beginning to look like another one of our questionable defensive picks. They need to figure out how to develop these guys. Majorly disappointing with a defensive head coach.
  12. They remind of the Eagles “dream team” a while back. I think Vince Young dubbed them the dream team when they went on a high end free agent shopping spree. This method rarely works in the NFL.
  13. Yeah, I’d like to find time to do random research on that. How many mediocre college QB’s from elite conferences went on to become great NFL QB’s? I can’t think of any off the top of my head, but there are plenty of mid major program guys who fit the bill.
  14. I agree. I understand different people are going to prefer different cities. However, I don’t get the tired comments about Buffalo having nothing to do/see. Each city has a unique culture and vibe, meaning you might feel more comfortable or at home in certain places, while other cities don’t fit ones personality. Weather is obviously a big part of life as well. I fully understand why someone might not love Buffalo, just as I’d understand with other cities. It’s all personal preference, but saying there’s nothing to do or see is disingenuous. I wish people who make these statements could give examples of similar sized cities with more to offer.
  15. I agree, we have a nice group collectively, but it’s going to take work in figuring out to utilize them. It’s easy when you have a feature back to trust in every situation. We have a adequate group for a passing team, but the challenge is game planning. How do we utilize them in the right situations? I’m not convinced we’ve shown the ability to do so.
  16. I haven’t gotten over 13 seconds myself. I’ve questioned McD, but as much as I love Josh, some of it falls on him too. We had home field with a bye week, had Josh not fumbled on the goal line against the Vikings.
  17. I was wrong about drafting Allen, but it didn’t take long to see his potential. I can’t say I got much wrong during the drought years, because I had zero confidence in this franchise at that point.
  18. Coughlin won two Super Bowls, so you’d think a self proclaimed genius could come up with a better put down.
  19. I wouldn’t take it that seriously. Bease probably knows he isn’t coming back to Buffalo, but wouldn’t mind being a potential option for Dallas if they need help this season. It makes sense to flatter Dak in that situation, or maybe it is just a genuine opinion.
  20. Yeah, and a lot of people confuse being a good talker with knowledge and intelligence. That’s how the show has been so successful, but you can actually hear the same stuff on any sports talk show.
  21. Is that what Josh in audio/video of pressers said or what articles say? Every article I read quotes Josh as saying “not football related”. I know people do get misquoted. That’s why I ask.
  22. Lots of speculation here, but hasn’t Josh himself said that he and Diggs are working out some “not football related stuff”? I used the search function but couldn’t find it mentioned here.
  23. They need to figure this out. People are acting like Diggs is disposable, while this team becomes very average without him.
  24. I don’t actually dislike the Giants, but struggle with them having a huge bandwagon fanbase. New York State (outside of WNY) is full of Giants fans when they win, but I haven’t heard from any of these fans in a decade.
  25. The attendance issues can be partially attributed to the park itself. It’s not a great value, as the park hasn’t received any useful updates in years. The place just doesn’t look like a modern amusement park. That works with smaller parks, but Darien Lake sells itself as the big fish in WNY. There’s too many better options in neighboring states to draw anyone there. They don’t even have a modern roller coaster in the park, while other parks are building new attractions with modern technology, Darien’s coasters were built in the 80’s and 90’s.
