  1. That’s fair, and I don’t believe that Benford and Jackson are that much better, if at all. It’s like he’s punished for not living up to his draft position. That’s not fully his fault, and you need to see what you’ve got with those picks. This is the one part of McD’s coaching style I don’t love .
  2. I think when you draft a guy that high, you need to put him on the field to get a decent sample. I know the coaching staff doesn’t trust him, and he hasn’t proven himself, but it feels like more of a wasted pick when he doesn’t even get the chance to fail on the field.
  3. I don’t know, a road win is always a good win. I can see them falling this year, but Belichick has a history of making offenses look bad.
  4. Staley is what happens when McVay was successful. Teams went out glorifying any young coach who fits the profile.
  5. The Pats have no talent on offense. I still believe in Belichick as a D coordinator, but the offense is a disaster.
  6. Justin Fields isn’t the future in Chicago, and I don’t like the way the Bears are constructed, but for some reason experts and people around the league seem to have faith in what they’re doing.
  7. Fields vs Love has been a brutal watch. Hope this isn’t the future of NFC North QB play.
  8. I’d love to see the Packers have a great season, while the Jets struggle.
  9. The other hot take will be making the Jets/Bills winner the Super Bowl favorite. It’ll be an overreaction regardless.
  10. Plus Mayfield always seems to play well when he’s angry or has something prove. His first game as Bucs starter with something to prove fits the bill.
  11. It would also be the perfect introduction of Derek Carr to New Orleans fans. A very Derek Carr loss.
  12. Pickett looks like every modern country singer before they hit it big and get a haircut.
  13. Almost forget RayRay McCloud is in the league.
  14. I like Purdy more than Pickett, simply because the situation he’s in. Pickett needs to be something more to help the Steelers contend. Purdy is surrounded by insane talent, and a great offensive system. That’s not necessarily Pickett’s fault, but I see Purdy in a better light due to those factors. I will give Purdy tons of credit for being a smart QB, he makes the right reads, and seems to understand the offense. Pickett seem more of a work in progress.
  15. That’s fair, I think they might be able to win with him if they play Steeler ball. That means dominating both sides of the line. However, he doesn’t have the “it factor” most star QB’s have these days. I don’t see the crazy physical gifts, or Burrow like decision making that successful QB’s have in this era.
  16. Yeah, Pickett wouldn’t give me much confidence if I were a Steelers fan. It’s early in his career, but he looks lost far too often.
  17. Gibbs with a great run, and then Montgomery three straight runs.
  18. Pass took forever to reach the receiver, but I’ll take it.
  19. Goff desperately needs prime Todd Gurley right now.
  20. Agree, but there seem to be special NFL honor codes. Coaches used to be far more passionate about those type of things. I don’t think I’ve seen a coach call out refs since the advent of these halftime interviews.
