It’s impossible to get out of McD’s doghouse. That’s the issue I see with too many of our younger players.

I wouldn’t even want McCaffrey in that hypothetical scenario, because this team wouldn’t know how to use him. He’s a great player, but Shanahan also uses him perfectly. A decent WR2 would be far more important to this offense than even CMC. WR2 would let Allen get back to being a downfield passer, and Dorsey could just go crazy calling go routes. McCaffrey is a modern multi purpose back, while WR2’s are traditional football players, I don’t trust Dorsey with anything modern. Can we put Josh Allen in the time machine while we’re at it?

Henry is old, and running backs don’t win titles for NFL teams in 2023. You need an adequate back, but nothing more is necessary to win a title.

The Milano injury changed everything, but Beane went into the season dangerously short on linebacker depth, that’s on him. I agree with those who think a WR is the better route. Go all in on offense, between draft choices and trades this defense experiment has been going on for years, at some point they need to admit defeat.

True, but I guess I’m saying if Mayfield is a QB we fear, this season is over, but I’m not ready to believe that quite yet.
