Am I the only one not planning on watching Chiefs/Ravens??
SirAndrew replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Chiefs have overtaken the Pats for my least favorite team of all time. The Chiefs have a trashy obnoxious element that surpasses any team I’ve ever seen. The Mahomes/Kelce suite reminds me way too much of some crumby neighbors we had growing up. -
I’m surprised by some of the thoughts here. I’ll always say this is the best NFL fanbase because the special emotional attachment the city has to this team. This team means more to that city and the Buffalo diaspora than any other team. A Super Bowl victory would be the biggest party any city has ever seen. I don’t have strong enough words to describe what makes this so special. I don’t understand how anyone can be a Bills fan and think this is a typical fanbase. I’m sorry if some of you are embarrassed by stupid antics from some fans. Isn’t it fair to say most of this behavior comes from twenty something dudes? What do you expect? There is also an abundance of bandwagon fans who might act foolish as well. There are more people who care about this team than just social media loudmouths and poorly behaved fans who attend games.

Gronk was injured quite often and the team continued to win titles. The Chiefs aren’t going to do the same without Kelce imo. That’s why I gave my vote to Mahomes/Kelce.

Sunday’s Loss Was Just a Replay of the Win in KC
SirAndrew replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s good to hear an opposing fan prospective. I’m seeing it the same way. I think fans get lost in wins and losses, often forgetting what’s sustainable. The winning streak under Brady isn’t a sustainable way to win championships with Allen at QB. Allen was throwing for around 200 yards a game in the last seven regular season games, that’s not how we win a Lombardi. This regime seems set on playing ball control offense. It’s a delicate game of keep away that leaves a thin margin of error. One mistake, turnover, or punt is devastating when you don’t play full throttle on offense. -
People saying this fanbase is average, have no clue about other NFL fanbases. That stadium would have been empty during the wild card round in any other city. That weather would have every other fanbase at home. The bad apples are another story, but it’s also more of a commentary on the ills of social media.

I think his first season was a showcase of brilliant coaching, minus the Peterman debacle. His defensive schemes were amazing, and this team won games they had no business winning. McD had players in the perfect position to make plays, particularly on defense. Eventually Josh Allen comes along, and that changes everything, unfortunately I don’t McD changed his philosophy enough to fit having an elite QB. Growth is crucial in all areas of life. McD seems like a great person, but I think he’s often too stubborn in his ways.

Great QBs and the # of SuperBowl Victories
SirAndrew replied to Bills!Win!'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Dan Marino and Josh Allen are the best QB’s on that list who never/haven’t won a Super Bowl. The other guys are a level lower than those two. -
Ryan O'Halloran - Bills should go Defense Heavy in draft
SirAndrew replied to BCAS Baritone's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t understand how people can think Beane is amazing, yet feel the need to draft more defense. That’s what we’ve done, and it hasn’t worked out. If you think this draft should be defense heavy, that’s an acknowledgment we’ve drafted poorly on defense. Quite frankly, I don’t trust this team to judge defense talent. We have a first round CB who hasn’t contributed, why do I trust any defensive pick? I like Beane, nothing against his talent, I’m just saying it hasn’t worked out, let’s not keep doing the same thing. We obviously have holes to fill on defense, but I don’t think the draft should go too heavy on defense. Free agency is a decent option to fill those holes with some bargain signings. It’s probably the hot thing for national media/experts to think we need more defense with the way Mahomes dominated, but we had a mash unit out there. This defense looks different with some of our starters back. -
I actually agree with this. I think McD has a lot of input into this offense. The winning steak hid some major flaws with this offense. This is a McD “complimentary” football offense. I realize that football isn’t about statistics, but Allen only threw for an average of 212 yards per game the last seven weeks. I don’t think that’s how you build a winner with an all time great QB. Sure, a lack of receivers had a lot to do with it, but I think this regime likes that style of ball.
-
This is why I’m amazed how many fans want Brady back. His offense did score some points, but it looked like a college offense built around a team with no talent.
-
Bills fans I’ve spoken to seem to be split between wanting a rebuild, and others thinking we deserve a participation trophy. I think we’re stuck in an endless cycle of playoffs loses with this regime. I don’t fully understand why anyone would be afraid of some level of change.

Prime Allen, Bills 0-2 at home in Divisional games past two seasons
SirAndrew replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly I didn’t think the crowd was great. That probably didn’t have much to do with losing, but they weren’t that loud. I think half of these people are ready to fall asleep after partying all day. -
Anyone else more low-key about this loss than you thought you'd be?
SirAndrew replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was probably the least enthusiastic heading into this season that I’d ever been. Nothing changed during the offseason to convince me the end result would be any different, and now that’s been proven. This ending is completely predictable with the current regime. I think we’ve reached our peak, unfortunately. I’d never root against the Bills, but I felt alright during our midseason rough patch. I actually hoped a bad season might bring much needed change next season. Instead we got hot at the end, and they’re going to run it back next year. -
It was bad, but not as bad as everyone thinks. Martin couldn’t kick the ball more than twenty yards anyway. Martin kicking in this game is one of the most underrated coaching blunders of this game. Sending Martin out there clearly injured was ridiculous. The defense was bad, but field position does make a difference. At the very least, a couple longer punts would have run more clock, forcing KC into longer drives.

AFC Divisional Playoff - Chiefs @ Bills - 2nd half game thread
SirAndrew replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDermott and Brady need to go, but they won’t. To be fair, that was a terrible couple of plays from Allen. -

I think KC made good adjustments. Easy running is over, and we need to recognize that. -

Hate that call. Let’s not go home because Cook. I’m jealous of the way Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson coach in Detroit. -

Enough with the running. Win or lose with Josh. We can’t trust Bass anyways. -
