I love how aggressive this Lions team is. 3rd and 15, they actually throw to the sticks. That’s what you need in playoff football. No playing for punts, field position, or running the clock. It’s great.
Dan Campbell doesn’t get enough credit. His courage on fourth down is actually cutting edge, and makes sense statistically. All these offensive prodigy coaches we hear about all time, are actually old school field goal/punt type guys.
Yeah, Baker was never going to be the guy to carry a team either. This Bucs team is incredibly loaded. You can’t plan to construct a roster like the Bucs have, but that’s what Mayfield needs to win games.
I’ve seen enough to lose a bit of interest. I’m rooting for the Lions, those fans deserve it, but the NFC stinks. The best QB’s are very average and limited in talent in the NFC.
It really did pickup at the end. I think the rain was definitely an issue all night, but Purdy did what was needed, and Love had a fourth quarter meltdown. Love’s fourth quarter wasn’t about bad throws, rather bad decisions.
