  1. Wentz is insanely overrated. Hasn’t done enough to prove he belongs in the category so many place him in.
  2. Mayfield’s career will start to get interesting if he faces any continuous struggles. His entire football career has been about talking trash while delivering results.
  3. A pumpkin would do just as well calling plays that get the ball into the hands of your playmakers.
  4. I wouldn’t be shocked if Kitchens gets canned before the year is through.
  5. Wow, that’s all I can say about that fourth down attempt.
  6. Exactly, without that final drive it’s the same team we’ve been watching for years. Most NFL games are close, and not much separates good teams from bad teams. Winning these type of games is what separates teams.
  7. I’ll take all the prime time Browns that I can get. I look forward to the first Mayfield/OBJ/Landry meltdowns.
  8. No one, because I don’t want the interception to be revoked as penalty for touching Brady.
  9. Sammy has a few really good games a year where he actually looks like a top 10 draft choice WR. Production wise he has never been the best receiver on any team he has been with in the pros. Over the course of three games with the Chiefs (even with Hill out) he hasn’t been the best receiver on that team for 2 of the 3 games, aside from his stellar opening game. A guy with his hype coming out of college should always be unquestioned as the best receiver on the roster.
  10. Our D talks a big game, time to prove it.
  11. Hate this game, such a drought era vibe to it. Pull out the victory, and it’s all good though.
  12. Those are the type of plays that carve up defenses these days. The Bills sometimes seem adverse to running them.
  13. Not calling anything to take advantage of that either.
  14. I’m not ready to say that. If Allen really is “the one”, these are the times when future franchise QB’s lead their team to victory.
  15. Yeah, really need to call some quick passes with short routes to settle things down a bit. That’s exactly what Beasley is here for
  16. Let’s hope he doesn’t become the new Tolbert.
  17. Very true, it’s hard to believe Bama had all those rough years.
  18. “History” is the key word at this point.
  19. Yeah, lots of people followed ND who lived in areas with no major college team. NYC and Boston used to be filled with ND fans. Take into account the predominance of Catholicism in those areas, and you have a fan base. I grew in a mostly Italian neighborhood far away from South Bend, and everyone had Fightin’ Irish apparel. Yeah, I’ve known a few old timers who viewed ND as the “clean cut” guys. I never understood how anyone who went to Catholic school themselves could view them as the “clean cut” ones though (I joke with much truth).
  20. I think this is just one case where I’ll have to agree to disagree with you. In my mind it’s completely plausible that Brown would have no interest in coming to Buffalo. He’s a diva who wanted a big market. All the money in the world wouldn’t have mattered imo. It’s not like he’s known for his wise decision making.
  21. Funny, but he did look high as a kite in his mugshot. I will say that much, regardless of what actually came out.
  22. I agree. Even without the lawsuit situation, Brown would have never been good for this team. It was already common knowledge that he was a poor teammate/diva. My opinion might not mean much though, I also think the duo of Landry/Beckham will prove to be bad for Mayfield’s development.
  23. Absolutely, plus he didn’t want to come here, so that’s a major issue too. The dude released a tape of himself telling Rosenhaus he didn’t want to come to Buffalo (so it’s certainly not fake news).
  24. I hear you, but it makes no sense to even inquire about a guy with a reputation of being toxic, if you weren’t somewhat interested. I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m just stating that I was always confused by Beane having any interest in Brown whatsoever.
  25. When the Brown trade didn’t happen there were dozens of conflicting articles regarding why he didn’t end up in Buffalo. Some of those articles stated that Rosenhaus wouldn’t even give the Bills Brown’s number because he knew Brown wouldn’t go there. In a phone call with Rosenhaus, Brown agreed that he had no interest in Buffalo. If this is the case, the financial aspect and whether or not Beane had dirt on Brown is irrelevant. Brown simply wasn’t coming here. Who knows what would have happened had he been willing to. Beane (who I do like as GM) now comes out smelling like a rose because of it.
