I often wonder when Greggo became that way. His Buffalo Bills teams never seemed to play very dirty. I’ve always found that interesting.

Now that the dust has cleared. I gotta say I don’t care much about this anymore, other than the fact it’s all pretty good news for the Bills imo. Rudolph isn’t suspended, Garrett is out, Pouncey misses some games, and who knows what will happen when these two teams meet in a couple weeks.

Yep, from what I’ve seen most players apart from the groups you mentioned hold Rudolph at least somewhat responsible as well. People who think otherwise have no clue about the culture of a locker room.

I have no problem with Garrett’s suspension. It’s just gross that Gronk actually hurt a dude. Garrett’s antics were dangerous, but Rudolph wasn’t even injured. NFL double standard apparent once again.

So how does Rudolph’s injury compare to Tre White’s from Gronk? Not saying Garrett was innocent, just saying the NFL is a joke. Right and someone got hurt. No one got hurt yesterday. What a joke.

You should already be outraged by plenty of off field incidents. They were just as bad or worse than this, but to each their own. I don’t condone Garrett’s actions, and he should be punished accordingly. I’m just saying the outrage is a bit over the top imo. It’s so 21st century.

I agree, I’m just saying it’s become second nature to just forget about it. In reality, the NFL needs better discipline both on and off the field. Maybe things like this wouldn’t happen. My point is that people will be outraged about this, and never forget it. Garrett is permanently public enemy number one of the fans and media for the rest of his career, while a guy like AP will continue to be worshipped by fans and media. AP’s transgressions were far more disturbing to me than Garrett’s imo.

I’m with you. Garrett simply took it way too far, and I don’t condone it all. However, anyone who thinks Rudolph is purely a victim is mistaken. Judging by that reaction, Rudolph said or did something that violated “man code” or something. Anyone who doesn’t feel that way has lived a sheltered life imo. Also funny how fans are less outraged when players do the same to women. Once again, I don’t condone it, but save the faux outrage imo.

Yeah, the outrage around the league is funny considering no one cared much about the Gronk hit. I guess that’s privilege you get being the big dumb funny guy on the Pats. That still disgusts me. Not saying the Garrett thing wasn’t awful, but man.

Lots of people wanting to know what this game says about the Bills. I’ve learned the AFC is complete trash with maybe 2 or 3 real contenders. The remaining playoff teams are really up in the air, but none are true contenders. We just need to find a way to be at the top of the trash heap.

I‘d worry about any game in Pittsburgh. This franchise has a terrible track record playing in Pittsburgh. It’s always tough to play in Pittsburgh, regardless of how good the Steelers are.

I was thinking of the Daboll comparison as well.

I’m beyond frustrated with our offense that lacks talent. I can only imagine how Browns fans feel about their offense that actually has talent. What a mess. Nice first TD drive, but the last couple have looked terrible.

I agree, even Brady makes mistakes. Has anyone noticed all his picks in recent big games? That’s because they are playing aggressive, and more often than not he leads them back. Allen was always going to be a Favre type player if he became elite. Obsessing over playing mistake free defensive football (McD), is not the way Allen will ever succeed. He’s a boom or bust player, you take away the bust, you lose the boom.

My greatest concern is the fact that I don’t trust Beane, McDermott, or Daboll’s ability to field a competent offensive football team. Nothing in any of their pasts indicates that ability, and it does worry me. Otherwise, I see your point that we have a young QB who needs more weapons around him.

You are correct, our offense has improved in the area of turnovers, and limiting three and outs in opponent territory. That was a major issue in the first few games this season. I just want to see them begin to put some points on the board. Back in September, I really thought it’d all come together by this point in this season. Sadly, that has yet to happen.

I don’t think the turnover issue is a major crisis. That’s just how defensive football works. Turnovers are somewhat beyond the complete control of players. It takes special circumstances, and a combination of talent and luck to create turnovers. I think if you looked at historical stats of defensive teams, you might see major ups and downs of turnover rankings.

Yeah, it’s probably just a matter of philosophy. Personally, I think when you hold an opponent under 20 points, you should win football games. It’s up to the offense to figure out how to score 20. Anything else is their failure, and they need to own it imo. Takeaways come and go, even for the best defensive teams. They cannot be counted on for a team to score points. That’s the job of the offense, and our defense is still good. We’re not the 2000 Ravens or 85 Bears, but a competent offense would make us a Super Bowl contender.

I get your point for sure, I’m just saying we’re still the third ranked defense in the NFL. How much more can you ask ? I’d love more big plays, and to see them demonstrate the ability to be clutch. Our defense certainly didn’t perform in the clutch yesterday, but it would take a few more bad games before I begin to see them as an issue. Great point. Our offense constantly puts those guys in bad spots.

Exactly, we have the number three ranked scoring and yards allowed defense. Sure, I’d like our D to make more big plays, but that’s nit picking imo. Scoring plays and the like on defense are often a result of random circumstance. Holding the opponent to less than 20 points a game is all you could ask from a defense.

I get your second point, but you need an offense to be a contender these days. The 85 Bears wouldn’t cut it in today’s NFL without a decent offense. Our defensive weak spot has been forcing turnovers and creating big plays, so to that point I agree. However, even San Francisco scored 10 points before the Seattle D put points on the board. 10 points against us is almost too much for our D to give up. Imo, that’s why our offense has been all the talk.

I agree, and we do need help at receiver. However, beyond each teams top two receivers not many have stars, you just have depth guys. Quality depth guys at those positions can be found in the draft. That’s on Beane for not addressing the issue.

The modern NFL is all about offensive scheming and QB play. Right now, our OC is terrible, and our QB is erratic. That’s not how you win games. Star power isn’t the issue. That’s the issue.

This is where I’m at. I’ve been an Allen supporter, last season he looked like he possessed something special that other failed Bills QB’s didn’t have. He was a raw prospect who had the ability to become elite in the future. Allen has not progressed as much as I’d like this season. For some reason no matter what happens this season, I’m not ready to move on from him quickly like I was with Edwards, Losman, etc. I simply want to see him with a new OC before I give up. Daboll is a failed NFL OC who should have never been recycled.

I’m very confused how any “process” could include a player like Lee Smith. I was a big Allen guy last season, and going into this year. I haven’t seen the progress that so many speak of. Even more concerning is the fact that he doesn’t play smart football. It’s tough to win with a QB like that these days.
