  1. I’d consider McKenzie gone at this point. I don’t see any chance he makes this roster.
  2. Thanks for the info, sounds promising., We can use help in the WR room, and it’s a good position to test the UDFA market. I’m not sure there’s a great deal of separation between mid round WR draft picks and the undrafted guys these days.
  3. We shall find out. I do trust your assessment, but I’d never too certain of any UDFA regardless (with that said, I don’t follow college ball much). He may very well turn out to be a good one. I just joke because the dude checks off every box required to become a TBD training camp folk hero.
  4. I get the feeling he’s going to become this years Proehl on TBD. This board is going to fall head over heels in love with this dude.
  5. This^ I expect Fitz to have one of the greatest preseasons of all time, only to crash and burn around week three.
  6. Idk. Everyone likes to compare Jim and Chad. I’m not convinced that it’s a reasonable comparison, regardless of the era they played. Chad has a history of arrests and legal issues, Jim did not have such problems. There’s a big difference between running afoul with the law versus not having great character. In Chad’s case making the same mistakes repeatedly shows a lack of self awareness and intelligence. Jim’s shenanigans didn’t get him kicked off multiple teams.
  7. Exactly. Chad might think he learned something, but it might be like a drunk who says they’ll never drink again every time they wake up with a hangover. I’m sure he knows that he made a big mistake, but how does it go when life tempts him again?
  8. He might be, but I don’t see much promise from anyone in this QB class, unless Murray has big success.
  9. Nah, he’s wrong again. Lock might be decent backup. Problem is the Broncos will need a starter.
  10. Exactly. Everyone seems to be on the BPA train these days. The Giants went BPA last year with Barkley, and missed out on Allen and Darnold. Now they have Jones as their future franchise QB.
  11. Receivers have always taken time to develop as well. Even if he becomes a great one, it’s possible Brady will be gone by that time.
  12. Maybe, but the dude even stumbled trying to pronounce Clelin Ferrell’s name. You’d think he’d be well versed in the pronunciation of potential first round pick names. He gets paid well to put some effort into things like that. He’s such a joke.
  13. OP is clearly pulling our collective chains. We really need the draft to get here.
  14. Couldn’t agree with this more. Hock would be my least favorite potential pick. Keep in mind, neither Kelce nor Gronk were taken in the first round. TE is historically a huge high risk/low reward endeavor in the first round.
  15. Rex was without question an unmitigated disaster in Buffalo. He was an alleged defensive guru who ruined that side of the ball. However, Whaley blew it with the Watkins trade, and not doing a better job of addressing the QB situation. There is no coach who was going to win with QB’s like Manuel/Orton/Taylor/Tuel etc. Only a dominant defense could overcome such poor QB play. Contrary to the belief of many, this team never had a truly dominant defense, even before Rex. The numbers looked good, but they were never really dominant. Beane has built his defense while adding decent pieces on the offensive side of the ball. He also went all in to find a potential franchise QB. That’s how it’s done, Whaley never had a clear vision.
  16. I agree, but I’m also somewhat happy it didn’t happen two years ago. We’d still have that pesky playoff drought nonsense looming over the franchise. A lot can be said for that streak being over.
  17. Yep, I was completely uninterested in Mahomes coming into the draft. I thought he had bust written all over him. I’ll also admit to being completely wrong. No one should talk as if he were a sure thing. Keep in mind it was common knowledge that the 2018 QB class would be one of the strongest in years. Waiting a year to draft a franchise QB didn’t seem like a bad idea if you weren’t sold on Mahomes in 2017.
