New Internet Rumor about Bills - getting 3 Primetime games
SirAndrew replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We play the Seahawks at home though. -
I think it’s true that people need to move on from the fact we didn’t draft Mahomes, I also think it’s equally true that people need to move on from being annoyed when media/fans point out we didn’t take him. It’s an easy storyline, and I couldn’t care less how long people continue to point it out. It doesn’t really bother me, let Josh win some hardware, and no one will be discussing any of this.

Gameday Thread Packers @ 49ers NFC Title

I agree, a Rodgers vs Mahomes matchup was more intriguing to me, but honestly I don’t think Rodgers is the Rodgers of old these days. -

Nice effort by Rodgers trying to get the ball back. Sure, his momentum carried him back, but he made no effort to get in the play. Guy seems disinterested, but gets by on sheer talent. Cam Newton was destroyed by the media for a similar play. -

Titans remind me so much of the 2017 Jags. -

And an O line that blocks. This forum overrates our O line big time. -

Rooting for a Chiefs Packers Super Bowl. I have a feeling that Vrabel vs Jimmy G will result in constant Pats talk. -

It was just nice to see a couple dozen Titans fans exist. -
Sammy Watkins: New Teams, Same Bad Attitude
SirAndrew replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t have anything against the guy. The problem with Watkins is the fact he’s not elite. As the forth overall pick, the cost to sign the guy has always outweighed his oft injured production. He’s simply not worth what it takes to sign as far as value is concerned. I’m convinced that John Brown gave us just as much or more than Sammy would have. Brown had really good numbers this season, and they were better than Watkins (who plays with Mahomes). -

Forgot that one play. He does have games where he looks elite, but he also disappears and is injured far too often. I’m not saying he’s bad, just saying that he’s not worth the price. -

I agree, but still believe John Brown was just as productive as Sammy could have been last season. Watkins isn’t DeAndre Hopkins or Michael Thomas. Brown had a good season, but people will always assume Watkins is better because he was drafted higher, and came into the league with more hoopla. John Brown isn’t dominant, but neither is Sammy Watkins. -

The fanboys also need to realize he had two catches in that game. One coming when the Chiefs already had a big lead. He’s not terrible, but his production isn’t at the level of where he was drafted, and thought of as a generational talent. He’s benefited from being on the Chiefs. His numbers are far from impressive there, they’d be very pedestrian on a typical offense. The dude was supposed to be dominant. I’ve never seen Sammy catch that pass Duke dropped in the end zone. His inability to make contested catches was one of my biggest criticisms of him. Sammy is average with Mahomes, he’d no more productive than Brown was this season. Plus he’s hurt half the season. -
Exactly. Some think that our D can shutdown everyone each week, that’s not reality. There’s no guarantee you can hold a team like the Chiefs under 30. Sure, we shutdown Jackson, but Mahomes doesn’t have those type of flaws. Eventually you need to score points to win games. People talk about how the Titans are doing it with D and the run game, but the Titans also beat the Chiefs 35-32 this season. They’ve won in the playoffs with our style of football, but can still put points on the board. We have no chance of sustainable success if we keep scoring 20 or less every game. I can’t fathom how anyone thinks we can do so.

Sammy has always left a lot of yards on the field by stepping out of bounds on what seems like every reception.

The Josh Allen insecurity complex around here is annoying. I really like Josh, but do we need to point out every Jackson and Mahomes flaw? The posts regarding Mahomes today look a lot like the ones regarding Jackson last night. Josh will have the chance to prove himself by winning games.

Looking a lot like the Ravens in that aspect.

Hard NOT to root for the Titans.....
SirAndrew replied to The Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do like their story, but I just can’t root for a team whose fan base won’t fully appreciate the meaning of a title. Do real diehard Titans fans even exist? It would be just another glitzy event for Nashville. Agree, they aren’t worthy. -
A Haters Guide for Rooting for Remaining Teams
SirAndrew replied to KingBoots8's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I tend to root for certain fan bases more than players in this situation. KC is the fan base who I think would be most appreciative of winning it all. It’s also fun to watch a team like a Tennessee come out of nowhere to make an unexpected run. However, I just can’t root for teams with three fans like the Titans to win. -
Yeah, there’s no team left in the playoffs that seem unbeatable. Many Super Bowl teams are those that seem unstoppable. The Ravens were supposed to be that team this season, and now they are sitting at home. None of those remaining seem very fearsome.
-
Wow. Andy Reid suddenly has an easier path to blowing it.
-
He probably won’t, but I think he’ll still be productive. I’m just not expecting Jackson to fade completely as some others believe will happen.
-
Tough loss for Baltimore. I think Lamar will be back in top form next year. I also really like Josh Allen, but unlike some others, I don’t find the need to trash Jackson to validate insecurities about my love for Allen.

Great point. We played bend don’t break defense with very few big plays.
