  1. You have a very valid point, but football is small in comparison to real life. What I’m saying comes from the prospective of a younger person, but I feel like I have as much responsibility as any football player. Infecting parents or grandparents could be far more damaging then ruining your team’s playoff hopes. Some people also work in environments where contracting Covid could lead to many deaths of others. That stuff is far bigger than an NFL player worried about ruining the season imo. I hate to get too serious because I understand it’s tough for everyone, and these players don’t want to test positive either. I guess what I’m saying is that my sympathy level for the stress they face is close to zero.
  2. No nanny 😂 , such a rough life being forced to parent.
  3. Sam Bradford was a franchise QB ? I think everyone agrees with your greater point that QB’s need a supporting cast, but true franchise QB’s overcome being on a weak team. Obviously they aren’t going to become Super Bowl champs, but it’s possible to succeed more than guys like Stafford and Bradford. Look at what Allen did with mediocre talent on offense last season. Allen has all the intangibles that separates him from the Bradford’s and Stafford’s of the world. QB’s are putting up insane numbers in today’s NFL. There’s so much more than just the numbers. I’m not saying Stafford is a bad QB, but he does lack plenty. Watson’s team is a having a bad season, I’ll cut Watson slack for that since he’s still putting up great numbers. With that said, if Watson QB’s a bunch of 5 wins teams for the rest of his career I’d begin to question him. I doubt that will happen because his intangibles are twice that of a Stafford.
  4. The sad part is the guy driving the Ram is probably a light domestic beer drinker. At least the Audi and BMW crew might have went a little heavy on the scotch or mixed drinks.
  5. I agree from a fan prospective. If I were a season ticket holder, I’d prefer that almost half of the schedule weren’t the same teams every year. It’d be a fun change up not seeing the Jets, Fish, and Pats twice a season. It wouldn’t surprise me if many people disagree. People cling tightly to tradition, and often times change isn’t for the better, but that’s a change I’d love.
  6. Fair enough, but it could happen, and I don’t think it should be possible. I’m not a math guy so I don’t know how unlikely it would be for a 10 win team to miss out to a team with a losing record, but I don’t like the fact there’s any chance it could happen. It could have easily happened this season if the Cards didn’t blow it. If the Cards or Bears win this weekend they’ll have 9 wins. That’s a far more deserving team than the NFC East trash. As a fan, I’d prefer to watch the Cards in a wildcard game over any NFC East team. I’m less concerned about fairness, and more concerned with what makes the league fun to watch. We’ve been punished with enough NFC East primetime games this season, they have no business sending a team to the playoffs. It’s not a big deal to most fans, and the world will obviously move on. The NFC East team will get knocked out early, and everyone will forget. I just think it’s a bad way to offer the highest quality product possible.
  7. I’m surprised how many people are cool with a garbage team getting a home playoff game. It doesn’t happen often, but it stinks when it does. A 10 or 11 win team could miss out to a 6 or 7 win team in this current format. There needs to be something that prevents it from happening imo. I like the idea of a conference based playoff seeding system. Divisions became silly when they had less than five teams. I’m not extremely passionate about this issue, but I want to see the best quality football possible. Having a division champ with a losing record potentially knock out a winning team is not how you get quality football. The WFT or the Cowboys don’t belong anywhere near the playoffs this season, and I probably wouldn’t watch their playoff game.
  8. What does year of the year mean ? Are we asking if the Bills had the most underrated season of the year in the NFL ?
  9. I’d hope he’d be smart enough not to seek employment there. He’d owe meal money at the end of every shift.
  10. That’s crazy, but I’m not completely surprised. You’d never know from the media, but it always seemed that football ranked last among Boston sports fans as their preferred sport.
  11. Foxboro is going to be empty for many years to come.
  12. Where’s Bon Jovi with his buddy Kraft this week ? I want him to see this in person too.
  13. This fourth quarter is as close to a preseason game as you’ll ever see in week 16.
  14. Him and Kraft might get along well.
  15. Belichick created the problem by forcing Brady out because he doesn’t have a clue how to draft talent on offense.
  16. We’ll find out in a hurry why Belichick stuck with washed up Cam so long.
  17. Yeah, he didn’t look very comfortable or confident as a receiver on either of those deep throws. He’s been solid as a rookie receiver, but definitely has room for improvement.
  18. Seemed like poor tracking of the ball by Davis there.
  19. Knox is growing on me for the first time ever. Three catches with no drops, and showing his insane potential. I’m going to enjoy this before he does something stupid.
  20. Newton is probably the worst passer in the league. Everything from the arm, to locking onto his guy is terrible.
  21. I’m so happy he adjusted his philosophy. I know people told me he would when we had the talent, but human nature is to get stuck in your ways. It shows tremendous self awareness and potential for growth with McD.
  22. Only Belichick gets that TO granted.
